FUKKEN ROASTED
HOW WILL OP EVER RECOVER?
>>16613608
>>16613608
I have not recovered
Sup my dudes,
About to pick up a new daily driver. Thinking about spending $8,000 for a 2006 Nissan 350z. I've been madly in love with these cars for years but I don't have a lot of car knowledge, so thought I'd ask the experts here.
I'm looking for a fun coupe that's easy on gas, a blast to drive and dependable.
Your thoughts my friends?
>>16613309
Fuel starvation issue hasn't been fixed. I'd go with the 370 just for the minor updates, either way though it's a trash car that's overpriced and not really fun for what you're paying. There's better options.
Also we're not experts, just autistic benchracers that ride the bus and cite what we see actual reviewers say
>>16613309
>nissan
>dependable
No
Enjoy burning oil and bad electronics
>>16613309
interior is trash & the car looks like shit in its stock form, but the engine is quality & you'll have a fun time hooning around in it.
there's also a pretty big aftermarket so you'll have no trouble finding upgrades if you so choose.
>be a noob driver
>always try to leave enough space from the car in front of you for safety
>fuckers on the other lane see this as invitation to cut me off and I have to do a sudden stop
>my turn to change lanes, running about the same speed as the guy at the back
>turn on signal lights and slowly change lanes
>fucker at the back see this as a challenge to who's the faster driver and accelerates
>fucking HONKS at me because he has to slightly slow down
How do I stop this from happening? I'm starting to avoid changing lanes unless absolutely necessary because of this shit.
>>16613291
Realize that women and black people can't drive, and everyone with a beamer/audi/merc drives like an asshole on purpose.
You have to be a defensive driver. The next best thing you can do is buy some old beater for highway driving so if someone wants to play a game of chicken you win every time.
>>16613291
>be a noob driver
Don't do that
>always try to leave enough space from the car in front of you for safety
Don't do that either, the DMV booklet might have said to, but leaving room is just begging for some fag to squeeze himself in there
>my turn to change lanes, running about the same speed as the guy at the back
Don't be a slow cunt who meanders past people 0.5mph faster, pass like you mean it. Downshift and stomp it you fucking pussy.
>>16613322
this oddly enough
What type of bushings are these /o/ and do they need replacing? If not, what would cause nosediving, bodyroll in sharp corners and creaking when slowly turning?
also wobbling/vibration at highway speeds

>tfw don't have friends to attend a car meet and the friends I do have don't own cars
Feels bad man. Anyone know of any good car meets in Melbourne?
There's a Cars & Coffee event at Campbellfield in a couple days time. And I know that feel OP, my mates aren't into cars so I'm either at the meet alone or dragging their uninterested asses around. Haven't been to one in a long time as a result.
>>16612962
That sounds pretty interesting, I'll have to find out more about it, thanks anon.
And yeah, it sucks when your friends aren't into cars, all my friends do is sit on their ass and play GTA all day.
I've had to enjoy this summer by myself.
>>16612975
Ausfag? I hate going to groups alone but tonnes of other people do too.
Just go mayne if u can it's better then not going
>tfw you finance a $50000 vehicle
>tfw you shake the dealers hand
>tfw the regret starts to sink in knowing you could have just paid cash for some used shitbox outside
f-fuck
>>16612876
>50k
>>16612876
If you make over $100k and you like the car, $50k isn't bad.
Otherwise you may be in for some money tight times.
>>16612876
Hope you put at least 20% down.
What's the consensus on 3 wheelers?
Also, what the fuck is this?
There's only one cool 3 wheeler.
these are the gayest fucking things when you see them on the highway
Im planning to buy Toyota Corolla AE86 for memes. Anything I should know about this model?

>>16612794
Awful rust. Check rear hatch and wheel wells. Good luck getting OEM parts, and enjoy having a slow, slow car.

not like they made millions of them or anything so its not like anything of value was lost
but still that shit was the worst excuse for comedy I have ever seen
I was wondering if yall could help me out
I have a 1996 CB750 Nighthawk and the battery keeps draining overnight. It's got a brand new battery, and it charges well when I'm riding it.
I did the parasitic load test where you take the voltmeter from the battery to negative lead and I'm reading absolutely nothing
Any ideas?
what kind of load test is that?
mostly you disconnect a lead and run the meter in series (with the thing off) and check for current.
so one lead goes on the battery the other on the cable thats disconnected
>>16612683
Yeah that's what I'm doing.
>>16612685
allright
with the thing off and lead still disconnected do you read any ohms between the wires?

You should try driving like a granny. I love coasting to red lights.
>>16612541
It's the best choice
>>16612542
But that's boring
So I've been having a corolla 1.3 with 75 ponies for over two years, and I just seem to like Rice cookers.
I've been looking around for something more fun to drive that I can overtake trucks without the fear of smashing into oncoming traffic because of shitty acceleration.
So far I've been looking at Evo, scooby, 200sx, and now celica ST185 and st205
There is one ST185 for sale for 4.5k$
>>16612431
You talking turbo?
>>16613293
no ST185's are powered by attention and toffee nut lattes dingus
>>16612431
yes, good car. 3SGTE is a great engine.

What are some 90's rwd cars I can find in the 1k-2k range that aren't gonna become yard-sitters within a week? In the US btw
If you're looking for stupid fun that can't turn but is really comfy and has a V8 go for any GM or Ford fullsize RWD sedan from the 90s. You will be able to find a really nice example for 2k and they're pretty nice cars for commuting because they don't give a shit about road imperfections, you just float over them and don't feel anything through the cabin.
Ideas to look at - Chevy Caprice / Impala (bonus for police cruisers), Cadillac Deville / Brougham / Fleetwood, Lincoln Town Car (pictured), Ford Crown Victoria and much more
