I think Rally Fighters look cool. Price range is about $99,000, or something like that (base price).

Would it be possible to build one myself? What would it take?

The biggest hurdle you're going to have is fabrication. You'd have to be able to put together a chassis AND make the body panels and glass.
Not to mention suspension components.
Then there's the task of sourcing an engine and trans. I'm pretty sure these things are AWD so you have that to figure out too.

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting a new car. I'm a student so I won't be driving much, but I want a nice car when I'm home for the summer, and also to have at school in case I want to drive anywhere, and also to drive home (~60 miles).

Do you think the E46 3 series is a good option? I won't be driving it every day (except for the summer), so I feel like it'll be less susceptible to problems but I might be completely wrong.

Avoid Beamers unless you plan on working on the car a lot. They're engineered to be comfy and fun to drive, but are unreliable as fuck.

If you want a car that isn't susceptible to problems go Japanese (Honda, Toyota are your best bets).
>>

>memeing and shilling this hard

Honda went downhill on reliability. E36 and E46 are pretty reliable as long as you dont go batshit insane with the engine, and you wont find rust unless you live in a place where it snows.
>>
>>16611799
My understanding is that they have very reliable engines, and the manual transmission is fairly reliable (especially compared to the auto). I'm hoping that the other problems will be less ubiquitous since I won't be driving too often

Went from 'too many brands but some are really good' to 'still too many brands and most of them are shit'

That they still sell GMC AND Chevy versions of the same truck is retarded. Ditto for SUVs. They got fucked up having too many brands competing with each other, and they STILL won't axe either GMC or Chev trucks and SUVs.

They scrapped Saturn and Pontiac but kept Buick solely because chinks love it... not even old white people care about Buick now. People would buy a modern Grand National if it was decent, it's basically THE American sport sedan... but GM keeps pretending that SS don't sell and that Mercedes and BMW didn't build their fortunes on them.

Cadillac has some promising sports sedans but they mostly sell Escalades to striver soccer moms and nigs. Whenever I see an Escalade in my mirror i pull over and let them pass because either way there's a guaranteed moron behind the wheel.

Chevy is boring except for the Corvette and Camaro, but the Camaro has such abysmal styling/visibility that it's really only for Camaro fans now. Everything else in the lineup is just 'well i need a vehicle and I like GM products so-'
>>
Killed Pontiac and Oldsmobile because the bean counters are fucking retards, don't give a single fuck about them nowadays besides the rebadged Holdens and whatever new sportster Cadillac makes.

They've done this several times. This time it's just a rebadged version of Toyota's successor to the Scion xB/Toyota bB, which was also rebadged as a Subaru Dex.

Would /o/ recommend the Camry as a all around good daily driver?

V6 or I4?

Yeah of course, practical, comfortable and reliable. As for the engine trim, test drive both and see which one you like better, /o/ will always recommend the biggest engine.

I'm currently driving a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero as my daily driver, and am eyeing a very clean 94 SC400 to be my new daily. Should I back out on it? Cost of maintenance is a concern but, I like literally everything about the car except the fact that it's automatic.

Here's another note, I guess. The odometers on both cars are more or less identical (115k), so how much of a concern is the extra ten years of age? We are comparing the Lexus product to a Mitsubishi one

I did an oil change on my 1996 Toyota RAV4 2 months ago. Just this week, while driving my oil light comes on and then disappears. Lasts like 1-2 secs. Sometimes it flashes twice or so. I checked the dipstick and it came up dry (I pulled it out with engine off, it had oil, wiped it and the next reading came up dry). There are no leaks, no blue smoke. Im going to do another oil change and see how much comes out, but what could be causong thr light to come on and dipstock to be dry
