That only makes slight sense. On the contrary a thicker sidewall is more likely to prevent the pothole edge from pounding into your wheel and blowing the tire.

Tell it to me straight:
I really want to buy an RX-8 but every time I look at ads for them I squirm unless it's less than $2000.
I figured out, I'm assuming that every single car, regardless of the mileage, regardless of the price point, will need a new engine installed the second I buy it, and for buying a lemon there's no reason to pay $7000 for something that will crap itself within a day or two.
Am I being unreasonable?

Well that is the struggle you get for wanting an RX8, You could get one with a great engine that has been maintained, or one that is just shit. My advice is this, get they later model 09+ because they addressed a lot of the issues the earlier ones had (oil lubrication). To weed out the shit boxes or the soon to be shit boxes do a COMPRESSION TEST before you buy. Look up healthy Rx8 compression and see if it is in the ball park. If not, then skip to the next one.

The Civic doesn't have unilights though, the center section is just chrome covered in glass to appear the same as the lights. Pretty sure two distinguishable headlights are required by law in Europe.

My 2015 Fiat 500 calls for 9012 headlamps. I can't find them anywhere but 9005 + 9006 look like a exact match. Would they work in place of the 9012 bulbs?

Alright fuckers. My car is totaled. I have $6.5K to spend on a used SUV or Truck from the early 2000's but I know diddly squat about trucks and SUV's.
I just need something for towing at max 1000lb's as I will be constantly towing my motorcycles to the track/lot and dirtbike to the trails. so a v6 would be fine. I don
t need a gas guzzling v8.
Please provide suggestions. I know Toyota Taco's from that era had frame recalls and other issues. I'm always hearing praise about Ford Rangers but again don't know much.

My keyless entry system doesn't have very good range. I found that it has a stray white wire that doesn't connect to anything, pretty sure it's the antenna. Can I ground that wire to the chassis to use the body of the car as the antenna, or will that not work?
