Going to buy a new car this year, currently driving a Toyota MR-S.
So it's either a BRZ for the handling or a 370Z for the power. I love driving corners, so handling > speed. Anyways, the 0-60 of the BRZ is horrible. Furthermore, I don't want to have to change the engine on a new car. (turbo)
Give me input.
Why is the 0 to 60 so important?
>>16609112
As I said, handling > speed for me.
But overtaking should be easily possible ... and there some raw power helps.

used 07+ 350z
Is this the Twingo of our generation?
>comfy and deviantly spacious
>cute
>cheap
>reliable
>hatchback
>small so can park pretty much everywhere
>>16608999
>le angry face GRR!!!
>cute
Choose one.

If you want a new cute US market Twingo, there is only one proper substitute.
'sup /o/
In the market for a used
Automatic
car, years 2010+. Budget's ~13k.
I really like the design of Mitsu's Lancers (GTS Trim), but the interior is pretty bland, and I hear Mitsu ain't doing too well.
I hear Mazda is a great brand and has done a massive turnaround here in the US, and their cars are great. I do like the Mazda 3 & 6.
What brand & car should I go with?
>>16608875
>lancer
>one of the worst sedans currently sold
>even moreso with the CVT
>mazda
>critically acclaimed car
>5 or 6 speed automatic
Is this even a question?
>>16608875
You just came here to ask this question, so random anons could tell you how great Mazdas 3 and 6 are and how shitty Mitsus have become, right ?
Who in his right mind would choose a non evo Lancer nowadays ?
>>16608921
I knew it. Anyways should I aim for a hatchback or 4-door? Does it matter or is it just preference? Not big fan of hatchbacks.hatchbacks.
>>16608934
>Who in his right mind would choose a non evo Lancer nowadays ?
Me because I really like the shape of the body. I as a kid always wanted a 2002/03 Lancer OZ Rally/Ralliart one (dem yellow ones). Just thought of making that dream come true of owning a Lancer, yes, even if non-Evo.
Just got myself a new DD, a '96 Buick Roadmaster. What do you think /o/?
Comfy af btw
>>16608828
Lt1?
You're obviously not very poor if you're getting a V8 for a daily, so why get an old landbarge?
Damn nice OP. There was a point in my life where I wanted one of these. Some shitter was selling one for $1k but wouldn't tell me how many miles the fucking thing on it had unless I went to go see the car. Never contacted him back.
Pic related was it. Enjoy! I can only imagine how comfy they are
Do you think they will pull it off with these 3 instead? its what /o/ asked for all along

Does anyone on /o/ actually own a noteworthy car?
Before we used to have C6's, Terminators, 944s, MR2's, modified Foxbody's, etc. Is it still the same?
some people own some nice cars but they don't post here often (probably because owning a nice car comes with having a social life)
>>16608252
Some dude posted a timestamped picture of a Ferrari two days ago.
>>16608252
>Any of those
>Noteworthy
Are you trolling? Except C6s which are cheap -for what you get-, those are all common and poorfag-tier
How do you guys get use to a heavy clutch? I tried driving my friends NSX, it had a aftermarket clutch on it and I couldn't even get it into first.
Dont be a faggot pussy.
Dont be a pussy faggot.

Git Gud
Aa
Absolutely shit taste + giving money to the dieselgate financial scammers + chiptuning = AUTISM
Veedub is nice. But not a strictly performance type of car. If you want a nice car with practicality and decent speed its a good choice.

Why are VW's so fucking ugly?
Who would buy this?

Niggers
Niggers
Even more niggers when they end up in CarMax lots.
I don't drive cars with power windows because I think being able to crank your own windows is an important life skill and makes you a better driver. Manual windows are also more reliable than power windows and are easier to work on. I think a real man should be able to crank his own windows; power windows are for women drivers. And besides, power windows are a luxury feature and cars that come with manual windows are much cheaper.
I hope you don't think you're witty for making a parody thread of the manual transmission thread. Your post reads like a smug soccer mom's facebook.
>>16607868
It's harder to open 1 front and 1 rear window that are diagonally across from each other to vent farts out of your vehicle with manual windows.
>>16607883
I don't blame you for driving a car with powertragic windows if you're driving with heavily farted cloth seats. Manual windows are better for driving with leather interiors.
Why are open container laws a thing? I'm not talking DUI, I mean, just plain drinking a beer while driving home.
>working hard all fucking day
>stop off at the gas station on the way home
>buy yourself a nice cold beer to sip on
>pulled over because cop sees beer and no other reason
>$100 fine or 30 days in jail
>30 fucking days
>in Hawaii it's $2,000!!!
Why is this illegal? Makes no fucking sense to me. You're not drunk, you're just drinking an ice cold, delicious beer.
Its almost like you're trying
>Germany
>can legally drink while driving naked as long as I stay under the limit
Sup /o/,
how can I rig my windshield washer fluid/tank so that it sprays faster and hits tailgaters??? If I use thinner hoses will the water come out at a higher pressure (i.e. more velocity) so it shoots up over my windshield and onto theirs?
Just use a pick to point the nozzle up, should fly right over at freeway speed
Why not just carry paper cups of water that you lob out of the sun roof?
>>16607770
>cups of water that you lob out the sun roof
this can get a burger locked up for assault you know
http://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/photography/cruising-van-nuys-boulevard-los-angeles-1972/
Found these linked on cnn of all places. I doubt anyone realised what it showed. Arguably the last days of the best time of California.
>>16607670
a lot of those cars are still on Van Nuys blvd, just lowered and driven by mexicans
looks more boring than modern Cali car culture
Do you ever notice shitboxes that should have died decades ago?
For instance, if I'm going down the road and notice a Mercury Topaz that is somehow still functioning, I'll say,
"Holy fucking shit, a goddamned actually functioning Topaz! You rock, dude!"
It's not that I'm impressed with that line of cars, it's that I'm impressed with *that particular one*, and how it's a survivor beyond all expectations.
Some other cars that would fall into that category that by all accounts shouldn't be on the road would be the Pontiac 6000, the Chevette, the Cadillac Cimarron, an S-10, 2nd gen Accords, any non-Z Datsun especially the B210, a Samurai, a Dodge Omni, and the Holy Grail of shitboxes, the Yugo.
I haven't actually seen a Yugo in a while, but oh how I'd love to rock one, just for the fucking shock value.
Ssangyong Mussos.
I have no clue about anything regarding these SUVs, but how the fuck are there still sooo many of them on the road?
I don't expect Toyota quality from an obscure Kimchi company.
My friend's chevy lumina. It was involved in at least 3 accidents AFTER it was in the accident that made the car salvaged. Driven by his mother before it was given to him so of course it was in numerous fender-benders
>he now drives an s2000
I do this too.
Saw a Dodge Shadow the other day. It shocked me.
Engine suddenly died in the middle of the road while running errands this morning. Steering remained mostly responsive but I had to switch into neutral to push the car off to the side of the road. Tried turning the ignition when I got onto the shoulder and it started up again fine.
Hasn't happened before, so I don't know if it's a fluke or not. Likely culprits?
I'm sure /o/ has better things to do then diagnose a beat-up sedan, but I'm supposed to do a six hour road trip tomorrow and I need to know whether my car's likely to crap out halfway there, so any advice would be super appreciated.
It might be a good idea to tell us what you're actually driving
We're mostly wizards, but not THAT skilled
>>16607823
A sedan.

Need a little more here, guy. What make and model?
