Oldfag here. I bought my son his first manual Civic Si this weekend but when he saw it, he told me he hates me and wanted an automatic Mustang. He cracked the windshield with his skateboard before storming off to his room. He wouldn't talk to me or come out until I sold the Si and bought him a Mustang, but he rear ended my neighbor's SUV on the first day. His mother is blaming me for the accident and is trying to have his visitation rights revoked. On top of that, I have to pay for my neighbor's repairs.

>Have never imported a vehicle before
>thinking of investing some of my savings into buying some of those cars and flipping them in the US of A

Does anyone have any experience with importing cars from Mexico/Canada?

ok /O/, im looking to buy a JDM car or at the very least buying a car that comes from a Japanese manufactorer

im going to exclude Subaru because of their boxer engines being a bitch to work with and Honda because the only good thing to get from them are Type R DC2 Integras and Type R Civics which they're worth a minimum of $10k AUD (im a ausfag living in QLD)

im really not picky in the terms of the type of drive train. although i would like FWD or AWD due to extra grip

and also im not allowed to choose turbochargers or superchargers due to me being on a P plate

also fuck Toyota Celicas since the only good Celica is the ST205 and i cant drive that due to it being turbocharged

plz halp

also my budget is $8k (im in the middle of saving up for it since i only have $800 atm)

also pic unrelated. AE86 parts are rare, they're overpriced due to the Takumi tax and they're usually rusted out in Australia

thinking about getting a mustang eco boost for my daily driver what are some "sporty" coupes out there for that price range (less than 30k) I have a 2016 Corolla S for whats its worth I like it but I want a little more power. my credit is ehhh OK its about 702. no manual cause im a bitch. commute is 27 miles round trip

You'd have to be really really ignorant or no car to disrespect the American pony car. You'd have to been under 19 years old to actually go out of your way to hate on a car.

A reasonable person will recognize the American pony car is good at what it was built for. Sale in high numbers with a low cost, be fun, and be desired.

No its not the fastest, no its not the most tech loaded, but for what you pay it will put you in the same league as much more expensive cars.

I don't expect a lot of reply's this thread so I am making it an American pony car thread.

I am looking at the attached truck. I want to spend as little as possible on a vehicle. I already have a reliable, decent daily. This would be more for a project. According to the ad, this 1986 F150 is in good running condition, the 4x4 works as advertised, no serious mechanical issues (that are being disclosed).

Cons are the dents, rot in the bed wheel wells, rust in other areas, a rougher interior. The truck is not currently plated or on the road.

He wants 1500$ for it. What would YOU pay for this F150. I will post some more photos. My biggest concerns is rust as this is an alberta vehicle. The odometer is at 208,000 Kilometers or about 130,000 miles.

Also he says it is "straight piped" which means nothing to me other then "buy a muffler"

I want to drive early 2000's/90's/80's shitboxes fast and my only prerequisite is having fundamental knowledge of what takes place in an engine and other components of a vehicle so I can at least diagnose the issues that my car is having. I want it to be a hobby and not a lifestyle. Where do I start?

Also, I do not have a sport shit box at the moment. Right now I drive a 93' accord.
