How hard will it be to convert old cars to electricity once fossil fuels are no longer the standard? This is, of course, assuming they are still street legal.

Interesting. I have to wonder how good charging times and range will be for conversion kits in the near future.

What are /o/'s thoughts on the TSX/Accord Euro R? Looking to pick one up soon as a first car. Gonna have a hard time finding a manual so might just opt for the automatic. Gotta budget of around 8k so I think this is my best bet, plus I love Hondas.
No power. Get a TL faggot. A 6 speed TL will walk a TSX by 4 cars and still get the same gas mileage.
>>16737265
Hold out for a manual. One of the best shifters that Honda ever made.
I bought one of the last new first gen 08 TSX 6MT's back in late 2007. I drove it until September 16 when I finally had to trade it in for a roomier car due to growing family needs.
It has plenty of power, but could really use another 20-30hp. From what I understand, the K24 in these things really has more potential left in it that can be extracted with a few mods. Maybe as much as another 40-50hp without forced induction or making the car sound like an obnoxious riced out niggermobiel. I had close to 200k miles on mine and never had A SINGLE PROBLEM. And I beat the living shit out of that car. When I traded it in, there was a small, slow leak developing from one of the CV axles. Those fuckers are $600 each FYI and OEM is your only way to go there. Third gear pop out also happens on some of the earlier 6MT's, so check that out. The yaw sensor was also out, but that really doesn't do anything anyways except tell the ECU that your car is upside down.
I feel that it was one of that last GREAT "real" Honda products. Made in Japan, built well, probably their most flexible 4cyl ever, and steller handling with the best steering you'll feel outside of a Miata or Boxster. Sure, a TL will blow it into the weeds, but a TL also feels like a pigfat accord because that is what it is. Unless you are comparing to the 6 spd TL-S SH-AWD (which is really amazing), you're just burger-racing from 1/4 mile bullshit. The TSX is just damn fun car to drive. Similar to the GT86 / Miata, or whatever, it's one of those cars that are a shit ton of fun to drive at any speed.
Honstly, I'm kinda thinking about buying another one and looking at FI for it just for fun.

I'm selffag here and re-emphasize the point about the reliability. Almost 200k miles over 9 winters in the salt-treated roads of Northeast USA. Rarely washed in the winter. Beat the snot out of it from day 1 with multiple redlines and blown downshifts sending the revs well past redline. Lots of fucked up roads.
Zero problems. Oil changes every 6k miles. Three sets of OEM brakes. Four sets of Michilins. And only a minor CV axle leak and some euro-law compliance sensor ( and one downstream O2 sensor I forgot about big deal). None of the above affected driveability at all. I could had and would had driven that car another 100k miles, and I shopped new cars every few years thinking about replacing it until my back seat filled up with car seats, so I had to say fuck it and buy a Lexus LS430 and a CPO Lexus RX350.
TSX is Japan at it's best. Not Burger-centric garbage that Acura sells now with beaks and trapezoids and shiet. (Only the RLX is Japan made now).
I have to pass a captcha, by identifying this car i'd prove to be a real human being. Can anyone help?
Not doing your homework for you. Fuck off freshman.
anyone? you guys would be a real hero if you could identify it.
nice try robot

so like 8 months ago i bought a new car but didnt sell my old one and just let it sit there for months at a time without using it
So what happened was that the battey started uncharging and eventually died and now it wont even charge anymore
So now i want to sell the car and obviously need to buy a new battery for it but i dont want to spend too much money on one since im going to be selling it
I was thinking of either getting a junkyard battery or a restored one for dirt cheap, but will they last long enough to give me a few months so the new owner doesnt get angry at me?
>>16736179
Get a used one from a junkyard,
Just be up front with him, the battery is probably old and needs replacing, regardless its not as if he can come back and sue you for that reason, as in most states private party sales of vehicles are "as is" unless otherwise noted.
>not going out once a week or atleast every 2 weeks to start the car you aren't driving like a sane human being
fuck off m8 you dont deserve any help

my garage only has one door so if i want to take out my other car i have to take out my DD, park it outside, then go back inside and take out the through the only door (which was a pain in itself) and then to get them back in it was the same problem. Thats why i never took it out
Why is the driver always at fault for hitting a pedestrian even if the pedestrian caused the accident by walking into traffic?
>>16735988
Beacuse you can punish people for J walking.
>>16735988
I love how the mom gets out of way and lets her kids get run over.
>>16735988
>driver always at fault for hitting a pedestrian
Not exactly true. Plenty of instances where drivers were found to be not at fault due to pedestrian stupidity. In the gif it looks like the driver is going the wrong way on a one way street so he's fucked
Is it legal to use IR camera blockers to avoid unconstitutional traffic cameras and police plate scanners? Also considering putting one on my sun visor to blind out my face as well for backup.
I'm not against being pulled over or even ticketed by a HUMAN police officer, but I draw the line at automated and/or mechanical law enforcement.

Will we see Tesla enter a major racing series within the next 10 years?
NASCAR and other motorsports are looking for a way to revive interest. Could it happen?

what are the chances of me finding a clean rust-free corvette if I live in Toronto? In 5 years because my mazda3 is still going strong?
When will car manufacturers stop making angery cars and move back to more smoother outlines? I don't know if I actually want a Chevy because it might not be reliable, but I do like how it looks.

>selling car
>someone offers less than 25% of asking price
I was selling a bike awhile ago and got this email where the guy lists everything he didn't like about it, then said he would give me 1/2 of my asking price as if it was a favor to me. Is there any easy way to sign someone's email up for a massive amount of spam? If there's not someone should invent it for people like this.
>>16735236
Whenever you go to a seedy website to stream video and the ask for an email, just put his in.

Retardation*
I found this in the trunk of a used car I bought. It has no product number on it, and I couldn't find it in my vehicle's manual or OEM parts list. Anyone have any idea what this is?
I forgot to add that the pen is for scale.
Looks to me like the surrounding bit of trim for the door lock catch pin, or whatever that bits called
Probably trim for a tie down hook in the trunk
Press F to pay respects

For me it's a 3/8ths mid 12mm.
Fucking Ford and their love of 5.5's
