I found this in the trunk of a used car I bought. It has no product

I forgot to add that the pen is for scale.

Looks to me like the surrounding bit of trim for the door lock catch pin, or whatever that bits called

Probably trim for a tie down hook in the trunk

I tried, but the piece doesn't fit on any part of my door or trunk. I'm thinking it might belong to another vehicle.

If your front seats have a lever on the side for tilting them forward, it looks like the surround for that.

I believe that's an ink pen. The previous owner probably forgot to get it out of the car before he sold it.
