Hey I am trying to learn as much as I can about cars before I buy one in about a year. The YouTube channel in pic has helped me understand the differences in cars in an enjoyable and free way. Any other free/cheap resources to help newbs like me to learn more about the world of automobiles?
Also resources on how to drive and pass the license test would be appreciated
Chrisfix, car forums. Best way to learn to drive is practice. The test isn't so bad

>Any other free/cheap resources to help newbs like me to learn more about the world of automobiles?
yes literally ANY OTHER resource but youtube

start torrenting shop manuals for cars you like visit forums for cars you like
the last thing you want to do is start parroting everything a youtuber's said because thats all you know

Corollas have more soul than any car in the world.
And its only as boring as you make it
have you ever hooked up with an import model / race queen? how did it go?
inb4 blatant lies
Inb4 lies?
So /thread?
>>16708317
no, i have never hooked up with a stripper
No. Just a couple oriental background actresses. Not worth it.
Whats the closest thing to a ford sierra in the US, not counting the merkurs, w124 and e30's?
Could you even import any old sierras from yurop?
>>16707881
WTF is a Sierra ? Like a gmc sierra ?

Those cars look ugly as FUCK
Have you ever seen a car with an airbrush job on it that actually looked good? I don't think ever seen one. Why do people get these, and who does them?

Mexicans

and that's a wrap
Should I go for a '15 Challenger or a '17? Which will hold more value in the future? Are the minor upgrades of the '17 worth it?
>>16707329
Neither. They're both shitty fca products.
>>16707329
Neither. You'll lose less on a 15 by virtue of it having lost a third of its value already. If you want a nice Dodge car, get a snek.
I can literally find a 16 challenger for 18k
I actually liked this game.
It had a massive open world (for comparison, Seacrest Tour is 70 km long, Rival's Grand Tour is only 40 km), a good lineup of super cars (One-77, Zonda Cinque, DBS Volante, Apollo S. Al cars we haven't seen in the series since), an amazing soundtrack, and was a decent callback to the early days of the series. I understand the criticisms, but I personally enjoy it.
What are some underrated/overly hated games that you enjoy, /o/, and why?
>>16707087
/ovg/ you faggot
>>16707087
That and Midnight CLub LA Complete were my first 360 games
>>16707087
Hot Pursuit is a surprisingly well made Need for Speed game. I can hardly fault it.
I'm looking to get into rally, and the market in my area has a ton of late 90s and early 2000s Neons. Would that be a good starting platform?

How good would the Neon have been if Chrysler optimized it for WRC in its time?
Could Steam cars ever make a comeback as a means of transport?
No, hydrogen is the future.
>have to refill with water every 30 miles or it explodes
Will steamfags ever learn?
We have the c7 corvette, a steamy pile of shit
Is a Probe GT legit /o/ material?

>DOHC Mazda V6 designed by Porsche for F1 in the 80s
>shorter stroke than an Integra Type-R
>manual
>7500rpm redline
>KLZE swap, cross-pollination with supercharged KJ-ZEM Miller Cycle engine possible
>decent handling for FWD
>no stupid electronic nannies
>glorious pop-up headlights
>4-wheel discs
>decent aftermarket
>dat V6 howl
I've had two of them and currently own a 4-cyl base model looking for another GT. If you can get past the FWD autism, it has very neutral handling especially for FWD. An Addco 22mm rear swaybar cures understeer and can actually result in snap oversteer if you're cocky. It'll knock on the door of 140mph out of the box and with a bolt-on KLZE swap that becomes 150.
Pic related my 4-cyl copy. Has the GT's suspension bits plus some minor suspension upgrades. Has made it almost 300k on the factory sealed motor. The only downside these days is finding a clean copy that isn't automatic.
Probe's are awesome. I've had eight or nine of them since the late nineties; 4's and 6's, manuals and autos, nice and beaters... Even had an MX6 thrown in there. I've swapped KLZE's into three of them, complete with burning new EPROM's for the ECU's to support the proper VRIS engagement points and timing changes due to the different cams and compression ratios.
Long story short... I love these cars. I still have two of them... 94 Wild Orchid GT's....
They are a bit on the heavy side for some peoples taste... And some people pooh pooh them for being FWD. But ya know what, people need to get over the fact that not everyone must have RWD or else 'zomg loser'. Pssh.
A KLZE swapped Probe GT, manual trans, lowered with some good suspension components, is a pleasure to drive.
Oh... If you come across one (good luck; Cash 4 Clunkers screwed up the supply chain for Probe's and MX6's), carry a spare disty so when the igniter takes a shat, you can get yourself back on the road quick. Or wire up a GM HEI igniter.
Pic is not of my car, but of another wild orchid 94.

I just bought an entire 7/10 interior for a Lexus SC400 for $300. What /o/ related purchases have you made recently?
how bad was your existing interior?
>>16704327
Unexistant. I bought it from a guy who had stripped it out to make a drift car.

someone probably donated it to write it off on their taxes, then that company donated it to copart.
Small dent right rear quarter. Otherwise it looks OK. Unless there is rust.
Poor thing. I'd take it.
