I need help id'ing these struts. All I know is that they came from either a pickup or SUV but googling the part numbers only gives me results for obscure european cars. Where are they from? The part numbers are...

It just gives the part number, I can't find any website that can id where it actually fits on
buying a heavy spec truck for live bottom and hauling logs. if i hit rock bottom I can always haul reefers, dry vans, flatbeds, etc. 14.6k front 46k rear axles, 18 speed, leaning towards a freightliner classic. Detroit or Cat.
is this a worth while investment? trucking kind of fell in my lap 3 years ago and I'm running with it.
thats a big truck

for you
>>16760768
how much are they new? are you buying new or second hand? how much is a second hand one?
>tfw your car could be gone the next day

they certainly can in bongland
Not your DD, not your shitbox, not your truck, but the other car. The one you never talk about here.
What do you like about it? What do you use it for?
Mine's a 2010 escape 4 cyl. It gets groceries and takes the kids to school. It's my first ford, but I'm actually quite surprised with the quality. 100K miles and it still runs great looks clean. The 6F35 transaxle is shit and I have to feed it 5 quarts of mercon LV every 10K miles, but that's about it.
uber everywhere bitch
I guess that would be my service van. Chevy Astro cargo.
I use it for low voltage work (mainly fire alarm). It hauls everything from my tools to ladders, to pipe, to benders, etc. It is company property, but I keep it in my driveway (I prefer it that way).
I like driving a work van in general. It's old and worn, but I can't complain much. Pic related is NOT my van, but looks like it.
A 1965 Mustang
I don't drive it because I don't enjoy driving it.
>manual steering with smaller wheel
>manual brakes with drums at all 4 corners
>automatic transmission
I just want to sell it
How much offset can you "play" with when buying new wheels?
Why are wheel offsets so specific down to the millimeter? Does it really matter if you get 25 or 26 mm offset wheels? What about 25 and 30? 20 and 30? Where does it start?
yes it matters
1. or proper stance so ur shit doesnt look retarded
2. not hitting the fender
3. not hitting brakes
what 2 get depends on ur car
>>16760476
What I'm asking is if I have a 26mm stock offset and a 23mm wheel can I get away with it?
>>16760505
but that depends on the car
that is going to push the wheel out from the brakes a bit but its prob fine since thats not a lot
took 14 months to get my first boo-boo.
looks like it'll be cheaper to just buy an entire new front bumper to snap on myself than having the current one fixed. fucking plastic lego cars we're all driving around in.

Anyone know where the tranismission/gearbox code will be located in my engine?
I need to get a new gearbox for my hyundai accent. But I don't know whether getting a second hand one from a different year hyundai will actually fit in my engine
so someone told me to find the "transmission code" on my gearbox and compare it to the one in the prospective gearbox, and if they match then it will fit
but I've been looking all through my engine and car to find the code
but I can't find it, and honestly I don't even know what I'm looking for
anyone know how or where I would find out where or what this code is?
and if this is even sound advice
basically there's a hyundai accent 1996, and another 1998 that are selling off parts, and both have the gearbox still
but I don' want to buy the fucking thing and have it not be able to fit in my car
any advice here (other than hopefully hurr korea shopping trolley poorfag etc). yes I know I'm poor and my car is shit. plz help thanks
The cost of replacing it is more than the value of the car (there is absolutely 0 possibility you will manage to do it yourself with the way you are asking this question), even if you found a junk one. Time to push it into a lake and find a new car.
1996 and 1998 use the same transmissions but have an automatic and manual option
>being this helpless
what year is your pile of shit?
What specs are the most useful for determining handling and/or ride comfort?
driving the thing tends to work well for me.
sorry buscuck
>>16760033
Depends. Ride comfort is subjective. Handling is compared using skidpad ratings and track times.
>>16760042
Handling is subjective too.

What a massive self-congratulatory faggot. It's not even that hard to take Eau Rouge flat out.
I was looking at the skoda fabia monte carlo, pic related, going to take it for a test drive this weekend.
What models compete with this?
[spoiler]needs room in the boot for a wheelchair
>>16759823
You looking for speed? Or econobox?
Cause there's lots of solid competitors.
BMW 1 series.
Fiat punto (got an abarth, boot is pretty damn big. Have fit wheelchair before)
Vw golf
Seat ibiza
Just have a look around hatchback makers. Skodia's are meant to be reliable but I think they're pretty ugly.
Monte Carlos are definitely cool! Especially the first gens. But really, any of them would be comfortable with decent power.
If you go for a later model Monte, try to find an AeroCoupe with T-Tops. Those are the least rednecky of the 80's ones. They're kinda rare though, so finding one may be a challenge.
I love this car, been saving for a little while and may buy this in the next few months. Aesthetically appealing and nice height.

I'm in the UK, 25 and dailying a 1.6 Seat Leon.
I'm looking for a new car >£10,000
My list of potentials currently looks like this:
> 350Z
> S2K
> 300ZX (if I can find one)
> Evo 8 (stretching the budget a little)
> R32 GTR import (around 13k as well)
> E46 M3
> Auto TT Supra (then save for tranny swap)
I'm not sure which to pick, nor if I'm missing any good choices for that matter, but I'm looking for something that isn't too common, and will respond positively to mods later on (After even more saving). This car will be the first car I mess about with.
Help me, /o/
>>16759800
i don't think a E46 M3 is really a car for modding
I wouldn't buy anything on that list with my hard earned money knowing how expensive insurance and tax for you britbongs is, i'd be patient and save up for something that is actually going to be reliable.
I know but it's one of those staple cars that are quick, fairly reliable, cool af haha
So just this morning I noticed this shit under my truck. She's an 07 4runner with <150k miles and just got a new radiator. It feels like putty/clay and there's 3-4 blotches right under the engine. I'm clueless as to what it is, she isn't smoking or making any noises when I drive.
>the fuck is this?
It's just marking its territory, don't worry about it.

could it be power steering fluid?
Thoughts on the Daihatsu Copen?
Is this on the same league as the Honda S660 and the upcoming Toyota SFR?

They look pretty ridiculous on the road. Might be due a second wind of coolness in the same manner as the Suzuki Cappuccino any time soon.
Hey there /o/. I'm in the market for a new car, and I just need a boring, reliable daily driver that I can drive 40 miles to and from work every day with a reasonable level of gas consumption and comfort, while doing 85 on the Arizona freeway. Basically I need a Camry. Is there a better alternative in the same price segment (6-8k) that I'm not thinking of?
camry is kinda big? why such a large car?
maybe a civic is more suitable
>>16759454
>85mph
>civic
Ha
>>16759454
The Camry is more comfortable and has more power. Also, more room for the kids. I looked at an Accord but it was more expensive for the same equipment.
