2003 model year, which would have been reviewed in 2002.
Would probably never happen, but to be fair, that generation with the V6 is really fun and decently fast
Whats the actual value of this 35k mile Nissan 240sx (S14)?

Okay so /o/... I'm kind of a paranoid guy when it comes to things like this, but I'm a poorfag student who needs a new VW flip-out key for my Golf. I looked around on Yelp and sent out some requests for a quote. Got a few responses back, lowest in the neighborhood of $200. Then one guy from a well-reviewed company replied that he could do it for free! That he was involved in a technician class going on in my city (Central FL).
Basically if I come hang out for a few hours I'll end up with a brand new key, programmed to the car and everything, for free, its just going to be a pain in the ass. I don't mind doing so to save money, but am I going to get robbed? The business has reviews going back years and he seems honest, answers phone politely etc. I've just never heard of this before and I'm not the type to believe in the free lunch..
Pic related is the yelp page. Thanks for any advice here, I'm going to cross post on /adv I think but they don't usually know anything
bumperoo
I don't know it definitely seems a bit weird. Is there anyone you can bring along?

Just go to the dealer faggot.
Found a '76 Nova in OK condition for $1500
Tell me every little bullshit thing I'd have to deal with if I were to buy it

Can someone help me figure out whats going on with my car
I have an 09 Altima, and while driving right now I felt a misfire. The misfire lasted about a quarter to half a mile when it just randomly went away. I drove about 4-5 miles with no problems. The car ran like normal. Should I be worried? Are random misfires a thing?
>>16711346
was it raining?
was it at all RPM?
any codes?
ever do a tune up?

What does /o/ think of the AW11? Is it better or worse than the SW20? How is it as a DD?
crappy old death trap that doesn't even have ABS
objectively worse but who cares the SW20 is a bloated pos
its going to be impractical as fuck to dd tho

It is a 1980s Corolla without any of the practicality that a Corolla might normally have.
Im getting new shocks and struts. Is it a good idea to change my control arm bushings too? I was planning on buyign the parts on Rockauto and then just having my mechanic onstall, them because,i dont have space or time

>local shop that specializes in mercedes benz and bmw service has 2 very recent 1 star reviews on google and they're never busy anymore
>a year ago I'd have to wait 2 weeks just to schedule an oil change in advance
>now they can take my car in the very same day
Guys, what is happening to my beloved local MB mechanics? Negative reviews scare me, especially when they break people's cars and their calendars are now wide open. Should I be worried?
I take my car for a $200 oil change tomorrow.
Guys, walk me through this please.
>>16711050
cant you just find another place if you are so worried?
>>16711050
>believing internet reviews
i bet a pretty high percentage of bad ones are just made up by their competitors, especially on sites like yelp where they extort businesses by using fake negative ratings and tell them "pay us and we'll make them go away."

You need a new slave or master cylinder.

See that was my first thought, but the clutch fluid will still "jump" inside the reservoir when I push the clutch, and it wasn't empty, so if it's leaking it's very slow.
hi /o/
have you ever street raced? im new to street racing was invited to a street race last night and i dont want to sound like a pussy but shit was pretty dangerous
i was riding with my friend lets call him tom, tom just bought a new car, i trust tom iv know him my whole life but i never really knew he was into cars, he went ahead and bought a 2010 camaro
he has been slowly building his ride, and last night we went to a few illegal races
That night there was a heart stopping close call where my friend nearly front ended another car....
My friend i suppose just wanted to show off his new ride to me, and i know he didnt want to put my life and his own life at risk but man that was super thrilling, he was racing smaller cars on the freeway, constantly weaving in and out of traffic
We were going about 140MPH when my friend almost failed to brake, mind you he just bought the car and testing out its limits and it took him a very long time to slow down from 140MPH when we almost hit another car
i didnt want to sound like a pussy as the passenger so i just told him to slow down
We were . this close to hitting another car and swining into a truck
What is the best thing i can do as the passanger in these situations without being a bitch, i know my friend isnt capable of keeping up with other cars, like the Skyline, and Type R's, EVOs, subarus that we raced,
I have nothing against MUSCLE cars but it literally felt like the other drivers were weaving in and out of traffic effortlessly and my friend was pushing his car to the limits to try and keep up
I have street raced hundreds of times.
He couldn't keep up because his pigfat camaro was too heavy and it was probably automatic
Best thing you can do is hope he doesn't get you both killed.
>>16709339
its fun but its a nice way to die like a retard
>>16709339
Dude don't die riding in a car like that. It doesn't handle well, it has shit visibility, and it's heavy enough without your fat ass in it.
Can I get a VIN thread?
Looking at this 2005 9-2X Aero in Florida before I go fly down and buy it as a daily driver.

I'm having a problem removing the battery from my Volvo 740. There is this upright screw-like rod holding down the plate which keep the battery from moving. That rod and plate are rusty and it won't screw open. Worse yet I managed to brake it in two pieces. How the hell am I supposed to get this old battery out now?
Any Volvo gods here to help me out?
>>16708894
Get a whole load of oil that loosens up rust. WD-40 might work in a pinch, but see if you can get something proper at your local hardware store or something like it. Then get a pair of flat pliers and use them to screw the remainder of the rod out. Remember, you have to let the shit steep in the rust-looser for at least half a day with the level of fuck you're describing. And be very liberal in its application.
