Sure why not.
Ive only had the AR for a couple weeks and have had no time to go to the range and my AR mag holders have been ordered and should be here in a couple weeks.
>>34854116
Are the AR mag holders going to be the same as the pistol one?
>>34854179
they are similar, Im buying them from the same place I got the rest of the kydex stuff.
Mouse gun general
Big bro/little bro edition
I just picked up the model 20 on saturday at the gun show. What have you got /k/?
>>34853704

i would like to get one in da/sa with decocker, whatever model has those features
>>34853704
>Don'ta talka to me or mia son-a ever again
>>34853728
Mine is da/sa but no decocker, that's what the tip up barrel is for.
>>34853741
I love you for saying this.
So I got my Toyota Camry first gun and now I'm looking to add to the collection
I have always wanted a snub nose revolver because they are bad ass in my mind for some reason and I want a quick home defense mattress gun
Are there any out there well known as being the best? I always hear S&W when it comes to them
Also caliber? .38 or .357?
Advice pls!
Get a .357, you can blast .38 specials through it.
>>34853630
>snub
Just get a .38 Special
>>34853630
You can shop around for an old S&W but they're a bit pricey
/k/ movies...?
Absolutely no difference
>>34853303
Not true, one has a full metal jacket and the other is hard cast.
>>34853315
Fuddlore
>>34853303
Difference is terms of what? In terms of terminal ballistics, they're going to be about the same unless you drive them so fast that the hardcast deforms. In terms of internal ballistics, one will cause copper fouling while the other will cause lead fouling, but gas checks are supposed to help prevent lead fouling.
Is it worth it to build a AR-15 M16A1 replica? Is the cool factor worth the cost?
I'm going to have a 16 inch AR-15 but seeing m193 pierce LVL 3 AR500 steel from a 20 inch barrel I also want that just in case it's needed.
Ill also be getting a rifle in 22-250 with a 24+ inch barrel.
>>34852319
I put together what is basically an A4 clone, because I wanted a really easy option for mounting an optic and I was absolutely adamant on a 20 inch barrel.
Fast forward a year, and I regret not building an A1, or at least having used a carry handle upper...but Gov profile A2 barrels suck ass, and I wish I'd have known that as well.
Why the .22-250m
>>34852319
>Is the cool factor worth the cost?
thats an internal question, not an external one.
>caring what a bunch of faggots traps and fedora wearing neckbeards on a vietnamese basket weaving forum think
the real question is can you wait long enough for nodak spud to fill your order
How good are Coast Guard Operators (Maritime Security Response Team/Maritime Safety and Security Team/Tactical Law Enforcement/Law Enforcement Detachment/Port Security units etc) anyway?
Can they hang with their counterparts in SOCOM? Yes or naw.

Why do people still think revolvers are acceptable carry guns?
>>34851199
Somebody told me I should get a CZ P0 whatever because the capacity of my P30 is too low.
>>34851199
Because most people aren't expecting or planning to get into a full on shootout.
>>34851199
Because you only need 1 well placed shot to stop someone. I know alot of old school shooters still carry J frames, and they shoot them just as well as an automatic
In the last B-1 Appreciation Thread I said I would dump the photos I took at Oshkosh, but the thread died before I could.
So I'll dump them here.
Engine covers of the 28th Bomb Squadron out of Dyess AFB
A lot of these photos I cropped down. So sorry for the potato quality. I'm not a professional photographer by any means.
So what's the concensus? Which gun is more reliable and of higher quality? Can the P30 handle +p and +p+ ammo like the USP? How does it fare in reliability/durability? VP9 a meme?
>>34850675
>starts thread with USP in the title
>posts a USPc
Stop.
>>34850675
You wouldn't have reliability issues with any of these systems.
>>34850675
They are all good. I have a uspc and owned a vp9 and have shot plenty of p30s. USP is still my favorite though.
I got denied on a back ground check recently and filed to find out why it came back that I had a history a treatment for mental health. It was not court mandated that I was found to have psychiatric issues I check myself in to the hospital 5 years ago for depression at a time in my life when I was abusing alcohol. I have been sober since and the depression was related to the alcohol abuse. Has anyone ever appealed for the same issue in the past and how do you go about doing it, I'm on new york State if that helps.
Please no bully
>>34850537
Might it also be a possibility that someone else with your same name has been declared mentally defective/insane/loony by a judge?
One of my friends failed a background check for a job because someone with the same name as him (in the same county, mind you) was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance.
>>34850537
oops

>WHY ARE YOU AGAINST BANNING PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS FROM OWNING GUNS!?!? FAIR COMPROMISE!
What do you guys think of my gerber? I’m going to use as an edc. Hopefully protect myself from some white nationalists.
>>34850220
I've got money on you accidentally falling on it before you even leave the house.
>>34850237
Considering I’m seal trained I doubt that’ll happen.

Ok /k/
My neighbor came to me and would like me to try and fix his gun chambered in .40. It says "firestar" on the slide, and he told me the brand was "Spanish Star". Never heard of it before. The slide won't move and is completely stuck, and he managed to get the cleaning rid stuck in the barrel.
Any tips?
assuming theres no round in the chamber, have you tried dry firing it?
>>34850099
Post pics.
So the slide is stuck and there's a rod stuck in the barrel? I would clamp the rod into a bench vise and try to pull the gun off of the rod.
>>34850099
Pull the cleaning rod out and see what is going on in the barrel, my bet is stuck case, in which case pour oil down the thing and try to punch it out with a brass rod.
Don't recall seeing a thread like this recently...
Let's say you have an Alice pack and need to prepare it for SHTF of all possible forms. What do you put in it? What water purification methods? What medicine? What first aid kit? What food? What weapons/knives? How much toilet paper?
And when is a bag considered too heavy?
What's the point of this? Why not go ultralight backpacking and see what you need, and much more importantly how to use it and carry it.
>>34849808
>>34849827
This, I've hiked with 40lb alice bags for 3 day hikes before, and the guys going ultralight were blowing me out of the water, even the girls, because they only carried like 15lb bags.
Bugging out is a fantasy, bunkering in is the reality.
>>34849835
Ultralight backpackers are generally a bunch of granola muching pussies who seek legitimate shelter if mother nature gets to a point where anything less than 4 season gear will potentially kill you.
I'm all for lightening the load where it makes sense, but a 15lb pack for anything other than a day trip or thru hike on the relative safety of something like the AT is borderline retarded if legitimate survival is the purpose.
Also, "bugging out" and "bunkering in" are both good and retarded, it depends entirely on the context and circumstances.
>>34849827
Doesn't have to be ultralight but I agree that nothing beats spending a few days without the safety net of civilization to teach you what you truly need.
So i live in a city, a crappy one at that, in a not so good and densly popluated area.
If a SHTF senerio happens what is the plan for us city folks?
I have a good stash of guns, ammo, food, water, tools and medical supplies. but its all inside my apartment.
So far my only plan is to load up my larger car with everything and drive south until i can go innawoods and hide out the intial storm thagt is roaming hoards of niggers and starvation.
Would it be better to baracade myself inside, that way i wouldnt be forced to leave some things behind?
Ive read that in a real SHTF senerio there will be roaming herds of starving people within 7 days of the food supply being cut off, and by 14 days 25-50% of the population will be dead. so if i can out last 2 weeks i might be able to survive inside the city, where i could easily find more supplies and things i need.
>>34849233
If you can get out. FUCKING GET OUT.
If you can't, get a bag and supplies ready. If you really want to get into it, start setting stashes of stuff around the city in some form of logical route from your place to a secure bug out location. Consider places with no value whatsoever that no one would ever raid. Things under construction, office buildings, unnaground in metro tunnels and sewers, think of what you got and think for yourself on that.
What city? Could determine a lot.
you are fucked
>>34849233
>If a SHTF senerio happens what is the plan for us city folks?
hunker in your bunker. bugging out is way more risky.
