They actually have different Roles, the B-1B is smaller and less fast but has a larger payload. It's closer to the Tu-22M.

No, it does not. Russians just don't count external pylons that you don't use anyway. Tu-160 also carrues 6 meter missiles, B-1B can only carry 4 meter ones.
