What was your survival rating if you came on the first wave?
Pretty low.

Discuss what you feel the future of tanks is. Discuss your favorite tanks. Can't let the day go to waste.

Good.
What would you rather have?
>High quantity of mid-tier weapons and rely on your own wits/intelligence/skills
or
>Low quantity of high-tier weapons and rely on their great functionality and superior technology
Yes?
>>31357967
>take a banana to a gun fight
>"my wits/intelligence/skills must be better than yours"
You are a fucking moron OP.
The countries with the best tech also come with the best trained fighters as well, because 1000 fit geniuses are much easier to come by than 100,000 and because expensive vehicles are given expert crews.
>>31357967

In a home defense scenario what strategy is more like to win the day?
>Shot placement vs. volume of Fire
>volume of fire
yeah just shoot up your whole fucking house why don't you
>>31357844
Shot placement.
Ends the fight quicker, and most defensive gun uses are like 3 rounds fired anyway.
>>31357844
Shot placement trumps all
Hello everyone. Let's make this an open discussion thread. I'll include a short tale of my experiences.
I recently purchased a Norinco NHM 90. It is a Chinese AK47 with a decent optic and marksman's stock that is reminiscent of a Dragunov. I also recently got the spot welded thread protector off and put on a flash hider.
My question is, did I buy the right gun? I am debating purchasing an AR-15 5.56 "handgun" tomorrow that has a holo sight and canted iron sights. It is small enough to fit in my backpack, and with my concealed carry I could keep it in there. Also, since it's not a rifle, this is a loophole I can exploit at shooting ranges.
I purchased my AK for the same reason I bought a Glock; it maynot be the best or most accurate gun, but it'll take a beating and keep on going. I've heard stories of ARs choking at ranges and in harsh environments, but I've heard nothing but "tested through the fire" stories on both Glock and the AK platform.
Tell me what you think. You guys probably know a lot more about weapons than I do.
>did I buy the right gun?
no. all the guns were btfo by ian.
>>31357866
My reason for asking was because there is so much debate between these two particular rifles. From what I've heard just speaking to people that own them, most AR owners either love their guns simply because 'Merica, or they complain that they want to sell them but have already invested so much money into them that it wouldn't be worth it.
they're both fine
I prefer AK
some people prefer AR
both are worth owning
now go away namefag
Hello /k/, I need help with with something here. So recently I saw a weapon on here that looked like pic related, it might have been pic related, I think it started with an "s", idk. Can anything tell me the name of it, I think the end may have been rounded, I'm not sure. All I remember is that it was leather.
Slap flap
You obviously googled the name Sap to get the image.

Third from right best looking grill, not enough variation in guns though.
You are a military aircraft designer working for the US in 1941. You have practically unlimited resources.
they want you to design a ground attack aircraft to act as a "tank killer"
my design
>an aircraft twice as large as a b17 with no bombs, scarce armor, but a 70 mm canon and 32 50 cals and can go really fucking fast for its size
The rational is that they would fly low and fast, over 400 MPH at like 800 ft. Wouldn't really need to worry about 88 flack and shit.
>>31357273
your premise is stupid, and so are you.
Make it interesting by actually adding some reality to it.
>>31357273

I own two 9mm pistols and I want to get a .45 before the election. Thinking about a sig because I have a glock and m&p already. Looking for reccomendations that aren't crazy expensive. Thanks for any input and try to keep it civil please. I love both my glock and m&p but wouldn't mind owning something new and I'm not opposed to a revolver.
>>31357046
Why would you get a pistol before the election? Those are practically the only thing the antis leave alone. Get some lowers.
>>31357046
what do you want to do with it? Something serious, range toy, competition? And budget?
>>31357196
$800-$1,000 range. And just to own and mess around with.
>>31357073
I already own an AR, I don't really feel the need for more than one. I'd just like a .45 for my collection
We all know the RAS47 is aids, But hows the C39V2. (as far as 'budget' AK aks go?)
I have one, it's been a fantastic gun so far for ~100 rounds. I'm running it in a 2 gun action match tomorrow so I'll let you know how it does there if this thread is still around.
>>31356888
I've heard the V2 can be acceptable.
>>31356921
missed a zero there, I meant 1000 rounds
