Let's talk ultimate AR platform cartridge. If you could pick two calibers for your AR (ar15 and ar10) what would they be?
6.5 creedmoore for LR and 458 SOCOM for <100yd? Stick to the generic 5.56. 308 combo? What about the 6.5 grendel cartridge? 50 beowolf just sounds faggy. Are the shitty 9mm and 45acp platforms even worth considering? 22lr is reserved for 10/22s right?
Personally I'd go with 6.5 grendel and 458 SOCOM. The grendel has similar ballistics and trajectory to the 308 7.62, and makes for a nice LR round. All while the 458 meme round will blast a huge fucking void in whatever might find itself within 100 yards of the end of your barrel. I choose the grendel instead of the ar10 platform creedmoore because the lower may be swapped between uppers incase of failure.
>bonus points for being able to use the hoard of 30 round 556 mags with grendel and 458
What's your take /k/? I have a couple lowers sitting around and need to decide what build to choose before shillary takes office.
Has anyone even heard of 375 SOCOM?
>>31370176
>.458 and not .50 beowulf
>>31370211
>SOCOM is more tacticool than beowolf
But convince me, why beowolf? You can't reload a 300 grain and then a 600 grain for game with beowolf.
Why are there so many barely used Sigs for sale on Gunbroker?
>>31370128
Because mountain jews want more monies.
>>31370128
Cuz they saw that mud test on the Legion and freaked. More guns for us, so I'm not complaining. Too bad most are in .40 meme and Wesson.
>>31370633
.40 is only a meme when shot through a Glock because Glock is a meme

Nothing to worry about. Probably another amateur fireworks enthusiast, like the central park bomb this summer.
Hopefully they make ieds illegal
Any of you guys feel you could provide better information with your own gun channel and not be a complete tool?
I probably couldn't. Was thinking about it. I worked in the gun manufacturing industry and thought rational videos about problem solving, how things are made, what things to look for, ect would be helpful. But I think I'd would be hard to get popular.
I'd totally give /k/ a nod. What you guys or gals (is there even /k/ females? Lol) do differently with a firearms channel?
>>31370058
Make a video called 'Safety safes for your big safes'.
This thread didn't go anywhere...I should just make a firearms and poop channel. Shit in the woods and shoot my poop with different loads.
No.
Youtube is cancer and you more than likely wont make it anywhere except as a meme that folks mock.
It also doesn't help that youtube is owned by google, one of the most mismanaging leftest companies on planet earth.
To put it in perspective, Google is to youtube what Freedom Group is to Remington.
Am I a degenerate for wanting a Hi-Point? They're inexpensive, not complex, and seem to be built to last.
>>31369960
Get a P-64 for carry or a Walther PPX for a fullsize if you're a poorfag.
>>31369960
No you're not a degenerate for wanting a cheap, well made pistol.
However they are BULKY as fuck so cc is hard as hell.>>31369969
>>31370002
To be honest I really like ugly, bulky guns, if only because I'm that kind of person.
>>31369793
où est bane
That's a big vest.
Is it better for the jarheads, who prefer maneuver and aggression, to go with this over anything else for the squad level?
Why or why not? If so, what would you suggest?
its literally just so they can get a replacement for the M16A4. If you really think they are replacing the SAW or 240, you have fallen into their budgetary trap.
I don't believe a magazine fed machine gun can be an effective squad automatic weapon.
>>31369721
It definitely is replacing at least the SAW. I've seen even Reserve units with the M27 and no SAWs now, they're being phased out.
The 240 will remain the workhorse though for a long while.
What is arguably the best quality pistol, /k/?
Regardless of size or cc-ability, production numbers or success in sales.
For example, if you were dropped off on the surface of the moon and left there to fight space monsters and could only bring one handgun.
The one handgun that you would own if you could have nothing else.
>>31369565
why the hell are the round backwards in the magazine???
>>31369587
Every time.
One button takedown
Bigger, better controls
No Loaded Chamber Indicator
No WARNING READ MANUAL WARNING
No magazine disconnect
Bill Ruger

>>31369547
Neat
>>31369547
What's it chambered in? Oh right...
>.22lr
Into the trash it goes, might as well grab a $40 pellet pistol from Wal-Mart and save my real money for real kill-you-dead guns.
In the scenario is you have to defend your house by any means money is no object
You decide to construct a cube 900x900x900 room area
Some room have gas traps, some needles, some acid, some flame, some cutting wire, but some safe
The rooms contant move and rearrange. To knw the safe path must factor quantam math. How to use this cube for best use for defense, example keep burlglar away from gun safe or keep theif out of bedroom
My self defense would be to stay in the room i woke up in.
>>31369289
i may have just read the title of the thread and non of the comment in ops post.
what the fuck are you even trying to say
Britain will veto measures to build an EU army for as long as it remains a member of the union, the defence secretary has warned.
Sir Michael Fallon’s comments came as it emerged that France and Germany had drawn up a timetable to create a “common military force” that would rival Nato in army capability.
According to a document discussed by EU leaders at a summit in Bratislava yesterday, the European Commission will put forward proposals in December for the common military force, with the aim of agreement by June next year.
Britain was not invited to the summit. Sir…
WW3 is gonna be so fun.
>>31369164
Well then, it's a good thing they're leaving in the year. I can't wait to see the latest revision of the Wehrmacht and for Germany to unJUST itself.
>>31369164
Why the fuck does the EU care about what Britain says?
I need some ugly sci fi looking handguns
>>31369113
that is a normal looking rifle
Will this take care of a Raccoon through a Mossberg 351KA at a range of approximately 10-15 meters? I plan on leaving out food and water to ensure it's quartering towards.
>>31369031
Throw food in your neighbor's yard.
this is a lot of numbers and stuff can you make it simpler pls
>>31369092
Did he eat a basketball? Maybe a co2 cartridge?
Hey /k/ so im about to start building my first AR and i am having some real issues finding where i can buy what i want and was wondering if anyone here knew where i might be able to find what i'm looking for.
I'm trying to find a billeted upper receiver that doesn't have a forward assist and is side charging from the left side and IS reciprocating. preferably also without the rear charging handle also present, like how pic related has it.
I understand that this isn't the most popular design but personally i much prefer its functionality.
I have looked to hell and back where i can find a place to buy even the one in the pic to no avail (btw one in pic is SAR-XV Gladius v4 Billet)
>>31368807
>I'm trying to find a billeted upper receiver that doesn't have a forward assist and is side charging from the left side and IS reciprocating. preferably also without the rear charging handle also present, like how pic related has it.
well lad i have no idea how to help with that.
kinda seems like you should be looking for something different than an AR
>>31368807
>tfw I have all my transfers go through StAr because Ryan's such a nice dude
Why aren't you asking the fucking guys at Sterling Arsenal? They're nice and they're actually gunsmiths. With something boutique like that you're not going to find it in stock on the internet
>>31368807
blackwood arms upper, duh.
you didn't look very hard.
So from time to time I see posts popping about some of yall wanting to work in armored transport so I figured if there are questions I'll answer them since I'm kinda drunk.
Gear, working conditions, pay, day to day shit, etc but nothing that will violate my NDA
>>31368594
My friend said that everyone is woefully underarmed, is the same true for your company? He didn't have too many good things to say about the job.
>>31368594
What radio frequency does your equipment run on?
>>31368594
Lol NDA? That'd be a first.
How long have you been doing it and how many back injuries have you gotten?
