But you got some spicy meme Don't you. Double dubs here
Wow, that is depressing. But hey look on the bright side, maybe you'll be able to leave that nanny state one day and come to glorious America!

If your boat starts to sink and you call the coast guard do you have to pay them for their service?
You pay them through taxes.

How does this involve weapons?
A few days ago, I managed to get a Marlin Model 60 for a steal.
I just now am able to break it down and give it the first cleaning it's probably seen in years. A small bit of rust and some fair build up.
Most of the rust is located right between the barrel and tube mag. I, for the life of me, can not seem to remove the tube mag. Am I simply missing something? I am not seeing any pins or anything that would keep it from sliding out.
I'll get a few more pics up of it.
>>31371085
Knock out the pin on the barrel band at the front of the rifle.
You become a cool guy and a military vehicle is named after you.
What do you want it to be?
Ion cannon.
>>31371054
Tanks or ships would be the traditional choice. I can't think of any fighter named after an individual, but I'd want to be the first.
Tank, the one that will cut through Iranian, Russian, Chinese, or Nork armor like a hot knife through melted butter
What went wrong?
This piece of shit looks so terrible, might as well be one of those Syrian metal boxes they drive around using nothing but playstation controllers.
US doesn't know how to procure new land vehicles
On top of the marines not knowing how to procure ANYTHING
glad we're getting either Patria or Textron senpai
Is an el cheapo shotgun /k approved as a first gun?
Yes.
>>31370756
Save your memebucks for a 500 instead. It's only like 100 more dollars.
>>31370756
Bought it as my first (and currently only) shotgun. On Black Friday for ~$170
It was worth. Neat gun, and fun to shoots. I'm honestly considering getting a second one just because I feel like it's such a deal.
Only with the Black Friday deal. Normally it's like $220
The deal was at dicks sporting goods if you're curious
As fantastic as this scenario is, I think it is a good mental exercise.
Let us say North Korea as it currently is, is sent through time. From border to border, it displaces what was there in 1940. There are no ill effects for anyone in the country.
Now, as pathetic as they are, they are still sufficiently more advanced than anyone in WW2.
Can they get a foothold into Japan, China, or southeast asia? Can they secure resources and proceed to ruling the world?
I'm sure many of you are tempted to say "no, lol they suck XD" because you don't like them, but try to be honest.
OP here, on second thought this thread is fucking stupid and I feel bad for making it. Don't reply please.
>>31370709
>North Korea as it currently is
They have no fuel and ammunition as they currently are. There's no way in hell they can fight anything.
>>31370724
Wow, you're not nice at all.
What's /k/'s weapon of choice in case of Robot apocalypse?
>>31370697
Don't worry about it, lad.
>>31370697
Thermite and lots of it.
Vehicles possible?

or a modernized dshkm for that time with explosive ammo
So we often hear about how if a revolution against the US government happened it would never work cause of drones and tanks and so on. My question is how well would your average group of AR-15 owners with zero previous combat experience do against your average army infantryman? Not drones or tanks, just infantry.
There realistically wouldn't be much infantry to fight since most would desert, but for the sake of argument it would be like Vietnam if our hands were tied even more. The government would have to fight very, very humanely to avoid giving any foreign powers an excuse to intervene. Almost all fighting would take place in the form of hit-and-run "battles" where even if there were infantry willing to fight they would be caught off guard and perform poorly as a result.
>>31370683
Depends on the type of environment the firefight takes place in.
>>31370683
Define "untrained". If you're talking about someone who knows how to shoot but has no military knowledge then situationally they could probably do well enough but if you're talking about someone who doesn't know anything about guns beyond what they've seen in action movies then they'd almost certainly be ded. If you're talking about wanna-be oper8tors who jerk off to First Blood, own a curated collection of FMs and TMs and have been training for SHTF/RaHoWa/etc. for years, they'd probably aquit themselves admirably.

Same cause as the other breakdowns, too soon for the fix to be implemented.

Scrap the Freedom-class.
Keep the Independence-class as an aviation-centric light frigate.
Install anti-ship missiles.
Harden the entire hull with steel. There is too much aluminum.
Simply the propulsion system.
There you go.
I want myself a Glock 17, but the 17L looks like a better choice for range plinking. I also want only one (1) 9mm handgun for very serious SHTF (think civil war/race riots) so no concealed carry. The handgun will otherwise be stored in a certified safe. I don't think the longer slide will be an inconvenience.
How often does it get manufactured, and what price should I expect? Does any /k/ommandos have experience with the G17L? Is it worth the wait?
Why that over a 34? Just curious. I think the 17L is neat and would like one myself.
>>31370351
17L is now the G34.
>>31370374
The 34 fits the bill just as the 17L does, but I'm not in a hurry, still fresh on the range
>>31370386
No it's not?

>Yes I fuck the gun so I can have sexual intercourse with the old spirits of the authority.
>Yeah yuh see sport, the Em-Pee Fawty was a really unreliable gun and couldn't hit ANYTHING because it was so badly made
>Yeah they were so short on guns them krauts they was making them out of anything they could find and drilled all the barrels crooked cause they was working so fast
>Hell my dad told me that they shot so bad that he walked right up to a Nahzee shooting right at him and didn't get hit none cause the bullets were goin' in a big cone all around him
>Then he put two in that fucker's head with his Colt Fawty-five
>Now that's a real gun right there son.
Actual fudd dialog heard at a Boy Scout camp I once had the misfortune of going to.
How did I do /k/? Got this brand new Taurus Millennium G2 (pic semi related.. not mine just same model) today for around 300.00 out the door today. Shot about 100 rounds through it and no jamming, fairly accurate (still need to sight it in, it's throwing high and right still). Going to be my EDC after I get my permit in October. Did I make a good purchase? Also, my first time on /k/

/o/ here. so i just moved from NYC to the suburbs of long island, NY. my question is what is a good home security system? i'm working on getting my handgun license but i want to install a security camera system on my property. what do you recommend?
>>31370231
Hikvision is pretty good and supply systems that come pre-configured and ready to install, plug and play. They provide a huge range of IP cameras which tend to be at least 720P quality and the best bang for your buck.
You'll normally need a DVR (recorder) and at least 3 or 4 camera for optimal coverage. Look to get IR illuminators too if the areas you're monitoring are anything above a few square feet.
I wouldn't go analogue unless you need a certain type of camera (e.g. very small, hidden).
If you're planning to connect the cameras to your home network at all (e.g. for remote viewing on your cell) you need to make sure your home network is secured and all the camera and recorders are locked down too, unless you run the risk of folks snooping on your camera feeds.
If you need any more detail just ask away!

a 12Gauge and a dog.

yeah, pretty much.
I want an M16A1, /k/. Not sure why, because I hate AR-15's, but whatever. My historical itch needs to be scratched.
I found this: http://whatacountry.com/colt-m16a1-parts-kit.aspx
but:
>$700
>No barrel (say $200, and government profile 20in barrels are a bitch to find)
>No lower ($100-$150)
I've also looked at some SP1's, but those are all going for laughable prices lately.
Is there a cheaper way to go about getting an A1?
I like a1 also but a2 might be cheaper and better along without sacrificing almost any aesthetics
>G. condition
>No barrel
>$700
Holy shit, this is just getting sad.
>Is there a cheaper way to go about getting an A1?
Not really, you kinda missed the boat. On the plus side, going the parts kit route is the easier way. Now you just need to source a 1:12 20" pencil profile barrel and an A1 profile lower.
>>31370338
Damn.
I can get the receiver from NoDak Spud, but I wouldn't really know where to start on the barrel. Twist rate isn't as important to me as just having the correct profile.
