Technically yes, it could be done, but it could not be practical. Nitrocellulose is the primary propellant used (with nitroglycerin in double base powders and a bit of RDX in triple base) because it is self oxidizing. Gasoline is not, it's thermobaric, although it is more energetic per gram, you have to introduce 14.7g (12 L at STP) of air per gram of gasoline to get efficient combustion.
