Lets have a real, heartfelt non-mongoloid conversation about cheap, available clones vs their more expensive counterparts.
Some examples include:
Cheap foreign 1911s like RIA (Flip) and Tisas (Turk)
ARex Rex Zero 1 (Slovenian) vs Sig 226
Pretty much everything Canik (Turk again) makes (TP9 vs Walther P99, Tristar C-100 vs CZ 75 Compact, etc etc etc)
Stoeger (turk again) vs Benelli
Without dismissing half of those because terrorism how strong an argument can anyone make for not going with the cheaper counterparts?
For your average shooter the fit and finish gap is going to be more aesthetic than a quality of performance / service life issue as they won't ever see more than a few hundred to a thousand rounds and many of those designs have proven to be at least as rugged as their more expensive counterparts, though this will obviously not be true in all cases.

I personally think rock islands are built better than their name brand counterparts but that's just me
Here's a picture of a CZ and a much more expensive clone. Not really what you asked for but it's what I got.
>>31808325
>>31808390
RIA metallurgy is inferior and you can read about how the frame and slide lose their fit after a few thousand rounds
If they would make a long slide competition ARex I'd check it out

Buck Angel
Thread to discuss about knives and other sharp appliances.
Am a knife savant and enthusiast myself, and a fairly big collector.
Here for the duration of the thread to answer any questions and offer advice and orientation regarding knives.
Last thread had a few vids of some old school vietnam warrior that taught the best way to incapacitate with a knife is either stabbing up the ribs or directly up their asshole. He never mentioned the liver though, wonder whats up with that. Seems like it would be a good point to stick a blade, full of nerve endings, debilitating pain capable of shutting down any reaction, also relatively accessible even in armor.
He also mentioned The Ka-Bar being optimal, with blade length, width, shape and metallurgy. I dont recall him commenting on the FS or V42, but it may be because he went with what he was issued, though I havent browsed his channel.
>>31807811
...Are you the kid from Trops with the Fox karambit folder? =/
Need advice:
I'm looking for a strong knive: something like 10 inch blade, 0,2inch thickness, non-wooden handles, no saw like stuff on the back and the back of the blade shouldn't loose thickness til close to the tip.
was thinking about the Ontario Knife Company RAT-7 or KA-BAR BK39 or smith n wesson SWCKSURG. Any comments about those? or should i know something that I could have forgotten? or just general advice would be great.
I would love to start shooting guns or even shoot one in real life but as a British citizen, I can't find places or people that will allow me to shoot guns without some tedious police background check, in which they are allowed to search my house and computer.
Any help?

Maybe Americans knew how stupid and cucked you are all.
We kicked you out of the Western hemisphere, then bailed you out during two World Wars.
Stop being antiguns as a culture, retard fucks.

Yeah. let me change an entire population's opinion.
>>31807815
Very expensive.
So ive always wondered how /k/ would make a movie? Like if some rich billionare decided to go on /k/ and ask for a movie plot what would you guys say? Make your own action movie in the comments be it post-apocalyptic, thriller, or just Michael bay levels of mindless explosions i wanna hear what you fuckers have to say
>>31807614
Come up with your own ideas, faggit.
A man stares at a gun on a table in a flat white empty room, the film goes through multiple sequences of his life to give him reasons why he should kill himself.
Then at the end he doesn't kill himself.
OP here
Id like to do a true post apocalyptic survival situation. None of that movie tropes bullshit. Something of some person or group of people legitimately just doing their best to survive in the wasteland. Starving. Dehydrated people probably looking like those kids off in africa you see on the tv. No amazingly fit people who look like models. No "normal guy" types. Only the useful survive only those who can pass on genes. Possibly put in some eugenics. See how all that goes together.
how to deal with ptsd? i been part of a group which was specialised in hunting down nazi azov rats, and the things i saw still haunts me

Getting my first gun as a birthday gift to myself! Looking at the sp2022, good all around pistol for the price? Have tiny hands if that helps. Living in communist state of califorina if you have other recommendations
>>31807510
Look how long that damn slide lock lever is. Look at it! That doesn't annoy you? Really? Then you're the perfect SIG owner. Maybe you can get the tribal print one or the one with the rainbow finish.
>>31807510
The 2022 is a solid choice. I have smaller hands and they fit me nicely. They are a little wide for easy concealment, but that can be overcome with a decent holster and the right clothing.
>>31808088
What exactly is wrong with the slide release? You understand that they are actually meant to be used on some guns. Not everything is a Glock.
>>31808132
Thanks! Pretty much sold on it at the minute :D

ARs are the only assault rifle worth owning in the United States.
>>31807290
if you're a girl or homosex, maybe.
/akg/ I need some advice. I want to get an optic for my AK. What's the best thing I should look for that is:
Made for AKs (none of that picatinny rail bullshit)
Looks authentic
Cheap (The cheaper the better)
Would prefer magnified but doesn't have to be
Would prefer a style actually used by some glorious AK wielding country.
I will reward you with (you)s
So, Clinton wants to impose a No-Fly zone in Syria.
Seeing as Ruskies are there already, and not just some sandniggers like in Lybia, how will she do it?
She will draw another line like obongo did. Or she will just declare a no-fly zone and then bitch about russians violating it.
>no fly zones internally
Besides, she cant even declare a no-fly zone on herself.
Time for another round of throwing our expendable income at people in exchange for pieces of fabric with cute girls sewn into them. Trade, buy, sell, ogle, then around the 250-300 post mark we get weird!

Ever been a white guy in the 21st century? That.
Building a .308 AR but I'm not 21 so I'm going to have to mill an 80% lower. I also don't know anyone who has a drill press, will pic related do the job?
>>31807000
21? What country do you live in?
If you have no experience using tools, you are not going to mill an 80%.
>>31807000
>tfw machinist by trade
>manual milling machines and lathes
>see threads like this here and there
>they're always full of shit in every direction
Christ one of these fucking days I will clamp down an aluminum 80%, trace out the cuts with blue, center punch them, use a handheld cordless drill to punch out most of the material and flat bottom them with an endmill (still in a regular hand held cordless drill), then come in with cold chisels and files.
No drill press, no milling machines, all high speed steel (shit had me laughing when people in an old thread were all like "you need carbide for aluminum), and still end up with a better finished AR than a lot of the messes I've seen in here.
OP I don't mean to tilt that hard, it's not aimed at you really, but christ people need to read a fucking book and learn how to actually cut metal and make a good part before they buy a bunch of shit and end up breaking all of it anyway because "b-b-b-but I had a carbide tool and an AR-15 jig and everything!!!".
https://www.amazon.ca/Machining-Fundamentals-John-R-Walker/dp/1590702492
Get a book first, find some scrap chunks of material, and practice a little bit to get a feel for the operations you'll need to do. Then buy what you need.
Sup /k/

You're a real joker, OP.

Anyone know where to get decently priced ammo cans, that also dont rape you on shipping?
Just the cans, no ammo in them?
Just ask around your closest surplus store.
>>31806780
I assume you've checked your local surplus stores and LGSs?
They weigh a few pounds each and they're big. You're going to eat some shipping costs.
>>31806805
>>31806808
Well fuck me, I'm pretty retarded. Didn't think of looking at surplus stores.
Thanks!
