The idea of expending metallic cartridges would be seen as ludicrous because of the expense. Oh yeah, and have fun inventing priming compound without any kind of base for chemistry. Do you know how to make mercury fulminate or where to get the shit needed to make it?
The best you could make is a gunbarrel (probably smoothbore), a lock (probably a flint-lock), and a stock. Metallurgy at the time isn't going to allow for you to make things like good springs for things like extractors, cartridge lifters, magazines, etc.

Do any UK /k/ommandos know how I can destroy or wipe my medical records? I'm enlisting in May and there are some things on there are some things on my records which will bar my application.
I've thought about changing practices a few times before the medical to get them delayed in the post, or asking for access and then tampering with them, however that only works for paper records.

well, read up on how to use a compound right. Although a compound is more "user friendly" in aspects, there are things you should be careful with it, such as twisting the string while drawing it may pop it out of the cam/wheel and shit will snap.
If you need to do any sort of maintenance on the compound, you'll actually need specialized tools or a place to service them.
Also, research up the correct arrow and arrow spine to use. Last thing you want is to have an arrow shatter into your hand.

China on Wednesday again urged the United States and the Republic of Korea (ROK) to stop deployment of an advanced U.S. missile defense system in the ROK.
According to media reports, the ROK Ministry of National Defense concluded a deal Wednesday to acquire the site for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system from the Lotte Group.
The ministry has agreed to take over the Lotte Skyhill Country Club in the southeastern rural county of Seongju from the country's fifth-largest conglomerate.
"China has repeatedly expressed concern and firm opposition to the THAAD deployment," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang at a regular press briefing.
"We again urge all sides to face up to China's reasonable concerns and stop the deployment process," he said, adding that China will take necessary measures to safeguard its security interests.
Planning and construction work will begin in early 2017 with a THAAD battery to be installed before the end of the year.
Geng said the deployment of the system gravely undermined the regional strategic balance, as well as the security interests of countries in the region, including China.

Hello, 18 y.o. going on 19 y.o. fag here. I'll be completely honest with this post. I've been interested in becoming a PJ since for about 6 or 7 years now. It was a dream of mine for a while until I gave up, I gave up on joining the military entirely because I was morbidly obese. For the past 6 months or so I have done nothing but diet and exercise and have gone down from almost 300 lbs to about 235 lbs. This may sound like a lot but I'm only at 23% bodyfat right now. My goal weight is about 220 lbs. I have decided that I would apply myself to whatever extent it takes to realize my dream of becoming a PJ. I've been looking over the requirements on the Air Force's website and was hoping you guys could help me sort out what these mean

I'm not asking for you guys to do my homework for me, just asking if you could help me sort this out. Any info pertaining to Pararescue is welcome.
