Why do we care so much about air craft carriers? Why do we invest in surface vessels when they can be blown up by an ASM, or a bong song feng, or even a tugboat with bombs on it.
>Why invest in tanks when they can be blown up
>Why invest in soldiers when they can be shot
>Why invest in airfields when they can be bombed
>Why invest in warships when they can be sunk
Ah, the childish logic of "if something isn't invincible, it's useless" and "if something is a threat, then it's definitely going to destroy x"
Because they carry aircraft.
>>32029968
> /k/ logic:
"Don't build mechs because they can be blown up"
About to join up soon with the Uusimaa Brigade, and more specifically, I've been planning to try to get in to the mortar company. Any other Finns that can speak from experience about the mortar company?
Also general Finnish military thread
>>32029921
There's a Finnish military?
>>32029921
>>>/ylilauta/
I have talked to some finnish conscirpts if that counts. Crazy fuckers all of them.
>Not buying your HD shotgun ammo by the bucket
>Not knowing that a 3 1/2 #4 turkey mag will blow a hole in someone the size of your fist without killing the shit out of someone in the next room
Not being a insufferable fudd faggot like OP.
>>32029849
>Using a shotgun for HD instead of an AR
>>32029849
Just how massive a crowd do you expect to invade your home?
They're going to be digging through a pile of bodies blocking the entire doorway at that rate.
Does anybody else think about firearms all the time?
Like from the time I get up to when I go to bed I literally cannot stop thinking about guns
>>32029843
It's ok anon, you can use the word penis, you don't have to hide your love for dick.
We're all fags here.
Guns are cool; and by cool, I mean totally sweet.
If you don't believe that guns are awesome you better get a life right now or they will blow your head off!!! It's an easy choice, if you ask me.
Guns are sooooooooooo sweet that I want to crap my pants. I can't believe it sometimes, but I feel it inside my heart. Guns are totally awesome and that's a fact. I love guns with all of my body (including my pee pee).
>>32029881
Tfw my dick is to thicc to fuck my upper receiver for my AR
Where were you when AK fanboys got cucked hard by Ian?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn17MwQT8DI
Real talk now, which one do you guys prefer, the AK or the AR? Post yours if you can too.
Used to be an AK fanboy solely because I fell for the meme that ARs are jammomatics.
Then I saw the light and realized that if you used quality parts and knew what you were doing with your build you can go a couple thousand rounds between cleanings.
It helps that 5.56 is so widely used and the ergos of an AR are just about perfect.
There's reasons why the platform is used by special operation forces around the globe.
>>32030206
ARs are jammomatics and the fan base consists of too many posers.
Any gun where the rule of thumb for the ownership is, "The fatter the guy is, the nicer his AR will be" isn't something to be proud of.
>>32030228
I mean you can talk all the shit you want but my buddy's WASR jams every mag while my M&P is sitting around 2300 rounds since the last cleaning. No hiccups.
And that's just a basic Milspec AR.
Why do we need bombers?
Can't cargo aircraft just drop bombs out of their cargo bays?
Why do we need guns?
Can't we just set off firecrackers and shot in plumbing pipes?
>>32029633
If you have a hypersonic cargo plane.
Or it's a fucking 747.
KC-130J etc is doing its thing in low-intensity.
Not unimaginable to drop a daisy cutter from anything when bullets aren't flying around
>>32029637
Set them off from afar and suurounded by guns.
Hey guys, could you help ID this rifle? Sorry for the terrible picture, but it's all i have.

I'm looking for ideas on a gun safe. I currently own several long guns and two handguns, and I'm just shoving them under my bed.
I am specifically looking for something fire and tamper proof that can hold a few ammo cans and around potentially 6-10 guns.
Price range is between $800 and $1200. Weight is not much an issue, but more than 500 pounds is too much, as I'll be moving within the next year or so anyways.
>>32029362
Bump
>>32029362
Fireproof is a meme. Shits still gonna cook in there like it's an oven. Only point to a safe is to keep children away from your guns.
>>32029362
Im in the same boat, honestly dude just wait until you move to a more permanent location. Do you have a dog? Keeping someone out of your house is a good first step to not getting robbed. Second good step is not telling anyone you have guns under your bed.
Figured /k/ was the best place to ask.
How realistic is this game?
>>32029268
Battleship the game;
Outdated.
Only liked by autistic man-children that can't let go of something that was phased out before they were born.
That's two for two.
>>32029268
A "fleet" consisting of an Aircraft Carrier can sink a submarine. Let that sink for a second.
>>32029301
but that's true for real life
So this stock is legal or not-legal now? Whats the deal on this strange device?
>>32029261
Legal where? Here in NY it's legal.
>>32029269
I meant California but forgot to type it.
>>32029261
That's a fucking abomination
Weird as fuck question, but whats a good handgun for innawoods/onnafarm?
I know theres a lot of discussion of ranch rifles but not much of pistols. Sometimes theres brush thats too thick to drive through and its simply not practical to carry around a long gun everywhere.
So whats a decent handgun for snakes, and small to medium predators?
>>32029227
Ruger Redhawk that fires both .45ACP via moon clips and .45 Long Colt.
Unless you are going to Alaska or Africa, that's all you need.
>>32029227
>inb4 10mm fags come in to ruin everything
>>32029246
Keep some decently hot 45 long colt loads in it for carrying around, plink with cheap ass 45 acp
Or alternatively buy a cheap ass police trade in glock 22 and swap in a 357 sig barrel and now you have a flat as fuck shooting gun that can take down predators
>>32029227
SBR 1894
Are these still effective on the modern battelfield anymore?
Anyone with experience with these to vouch for them?
>>32029106
I mean, steel balls propelled by an explosion are pretty deadly.
>>32029106
>>32029106
I'm sure they can still do the job against infantry and unarmored vehicles.

Just what the flying fuck is wrong with American gun "discussion" forums? I tried to find content about making a 10/22 straight pull, thinking maybe there was a plan on some toggle shit you put against the charging handle. When using sub ammo on crow hunts I prefer being able to make the thing as quiet as possible and not get the "clunk" of the bolt moving and then snapping forwards when the round is too weak to cycle it.
>>32028998
Literally why /k/ is so popular.
No names to powertrip with. Military keyboard folk are fucking cancer.
I imagine them occupying a pickup truck with a Gadsden flag flying off the back and will peel out at max speed next to you at a stop light because a mile back you decided against changing lanes.
They all have a bone to pick with everybody because they believe themselves to be in some elite class.

How much would you pay for a lasrifle?
about tree fiddy.
>>32028919
how much do video games cost these days?
>>32028936
About 150 dollars if you buy EA.
So, I'm contemplating building an AK. I'm looking more so into doing a 5.56 ak as all my ranges don't allow steel cased/core ammo.
Is there a difference between a 5.45 bolt and 5.56 bolt? And where can I find 5.56 ak parts?
>>32028904
As far as I understood when I looked into it, you can run 5.56 in a Bulgarian 74 if you install a 5.56 barrel and use 5.56 magazines. No need to change bolt or bolt carrier.
