Here comes the aeroplane!
Oh boy, we lost a carrier, we've only got another 20 of them!

When did Iran get a carrier?

This is all damage control from the J-20 thread where obvious Chink propaganda posting got BTFO hard. Fuck off China, you're done.
Can you own a combat ready M1A2 Abrams tank?
>>32272203
No, but you can own one that can be made combat-ready in a day, a bit you'll have a hell of a time procuring any ammunition.
>>32272242
>No
Why not?
>>32272266
Whenever they pawn an Abrams off (which happens once in a decade or so), they make sure to demill the gun: it's not impossible to repair and easy enough to register as a DD, but you're going to be spending a pretty penny fixing a gun which you probably won't be able to supply.
What does /k/ think of Skallagrim?

Furry/10

Is he really? That's hillarious.

The rare historical stuff is cool, but his reviews of mallninjashit are boring and his politics are weird.
I can't seem to find any information regarding where on draws the line between a battle rifle and a light machine gun. From my understanding, a battle rifle is basically an automatic weapon that uses a full sized rifle cartridge. An LMG, for instance the Breda 30, is also an automatic weapon using a full sized rifle round. Where does on draw the line?
Pic unrelated, I like ugly and impractical guns.
>>32271565
afaik, battle rifles are primarily designed around controlled mid range fire with a main focus on semi auto accuracy, lmgs are designed around prolonged full auto firing with main focus on volume of fire
>>32271565
Light/Medium machine gun (GPMG)/ Heavy machine gun separated by cartridge size. They are usually crew served with at the least a gunner and assistant gunner. The intent is suppression by volume of fire.
A battle rifle, automatic rifle, or LSW, are used by an individual operator. The tactics on how they're employed (DMR, automatic rifle) usually depend on the particular country's doctrine. Most weapons selected for military service are chosen because they fill a particular role in said doctrine.
>>32271565
LMGs usually use assault rifle rounds, though there are exceptions.
Daily reminder That guns don't kill people, death kills people. Ask a doctor, it's a medical fact. You can't die from a bullet. You can die from a cardiac arrest or organ failure or a major hemorrhage but a small piece of metal ain't the problem. Besides, I only use my machine-gun in the safety of my own home and car. I ain't hurting nobody.
>>32271495
I would argue not even that kills you. Lack of oxygen to the brain does that.
>>32271607
No, not even lack of oxygen kills people. You can survive for minutes without oxygen to the brain.
If we're going to be totally reductive, brain death kills people.
>>32271634
In he end it's lack of life that kills people
Would this be good? What if you had one of the few magazine fed shotguns with high capacity? Would the faster follow up shots due to lower recoil have any advantage over the 12g?
Also what are "slug guns" for? I saw a 20 gauge one with a scope on it, are they just for deer hunting?
>>32271493
20 gauge is more than powerful enough for stopping attackers. People aren't that tough to kill.
There are military units that issue twenty gauge shotguns for breaching because they are staffed with markets.
>Chile, I'm looking at you.
>>32271630
*manlets
Not markets. New fucking fone.
>>32271493
Massad Ayoob recommends the 20-bore for home defense, IIRC.

Alright /k/ I'm innawoods in appalachia tonight. Currently sitting with my back to a rock face with a small fire in an old oil drum I found. I keep hearing what sounds like something walking and breaking sticks also hearing what sounds like moans and whispers. I'm almost sure it's not an animal as I've called and made noise to no avail. I only have my M&P with me and I'll be here to morning.
What do?
I wouldn't worry about it.
Seriously guys I freaking out right now. I'm afraid to leave because I there are bears in this area.
Would 15 rounds of .40 S$W JHP stop a angry bear or whatever is out there?
>>32270568
down worry its just crow-magnum man if you leave him some .44 and a glass of cosmoline he'll leave you alone

$2500+ for an HK91. $1200-2000 for an HK-licensed clone like the Greek EBO SAR3/8 or Portuguese INDEP G3S. Don't even ask about HK41s or the semi G3s.
What's the best pistol/bullet for punching through car glass accurately?
literally any of them
>>32270059
357 SIG was supposed to have been developed for barrier penetration and it was used by highway or state patrol
Basically the more powerful the round the better
>>32270059
Literally anything.
And caliber is going to shatter it and any pistol has a construction hearty enough to pistolwhip some glass.
Need help with AMD 65 I bought at a gunshow. It seems to have a single stack bolt and won't accept a normal bolt. Do I need to replace the front trunnion or does the AMD 65 use a unique bolt?
>>32269490
might wanna ask akg
>>32269490
trunnion isn't different. does the bolt not close all the way? then the replacement bolt isn't good for the particular head spacing of the trunnion. Is the magwell doublestack?
What are the rarest guns on the NFA registry? And what kind of NFA weapons have you fired yourself? Was the Firearm Owners Protection Act of 1986 a big deal back then? Do you know anything else interesting concerning the topic?
I'm fascinated by how you Americans can still own fully automatic funs and envious about your freedums. Please tell me something about this subject.
bump
>>32268733
On the future if the registry remains closed there wont be any machineguns left because they would go to so high prices that only millonaires will have them.
>>32268733
Don't own any but got permission to shoot the fallowing:
Select fire wasr10
Hk53 or 33 I'm not an hk buff I don't recall what model the carbine in 5.56x45 is. This thing was a Catholic. Very soft shooting and under fa fire you could group a man under a torso size easy.
A glock18. Was fun. Fast.
How's this deal from my LGS? The Glock 22 gen 4 is $420 and the Glock 17 Vickers Tactical is $530.
>>32268712
Get the $420 one and spend the rest on ammo, mags, holsters.
Which generation was the "glocknade" generation?

Often enough, I am required to wear a suit and tie. I'm trying to find the best way to conceal my firearm while being dressed up. I'm often also in a dangerous area dressed as I am.
I was thinking of something in the style of a Miami Classic over the shoulder holster and wearing it underneath my button up shirt and tie. I understand its not the quickest to access like that, but I do need to conceal without having a suit jacket on.
What do you all think? I appreciate any and all advice and recomendations.
FYI - I currently have a Glock 41 and 26. Will have a 19 soon. If I can get a setup that will allow me to carry the 41, I'd prefer that, but I understand that weapon is big, so I'm willing to compromise if need be.
>>32268122
I don't have one but I think a shoulder holster under the suit jacket would be best
>>32268128
That's the thing, I need to be able to still conceal when taking off the suit Jacket
