Thoughts?
Too many autists hoard too many of these.
Best semi-automatic handgun available in 1900.
Mine actually doesn't jam ever. Not sure what inspires people to amass collections of literally dozens.
So, considering Level 4 plate has become pretty much the standard, at least with the US Army, how would a "bad guy" defeat it short of explosives? The only real options I see are to either aim somewhere the armor isn't (not always viable,) hope to do enough damage from impact rather than penetration (think a medieval mace,) or hit it with several rounds consecutively (again, not always possible.)
I'd go with just taking more shots and aiming for the legs if possible

>how would a "bad guy" defeat it short of explosives
aim for the hips. ffs even niggers know this
Cock shot!
How conspicuous would a small disposable flashlight containing a single shot .22 be?
Presume it is functional, with a sheet steel exterior, and cannot be disassembled.
Some food for thought:

Also, Ronald Reagan concealed a revolver on him for 14 years after the attempt on his life.
Why bother, /k/omrade?

So iv been looking at a rifle and rimfire rifle (wanna get into rifle shooting) and...
How the hell can this rifle be so cheap?
Whats the catch? Parts made outside US? Plastic stock alone isnt cheap enough to get you this price...
>>32690667
>Whats the catch?
You get no bells and whistles.
Just a bare bones bolt gun.
The rimfires are really nice.
>>32690714
Which is why the American Predator exists.
I'm holding off till the Vortex combo is on the market. But it's a great looking rifle with some nice bells and whistles.
Do the ruger american predator in .223 or 6.5CM and get a primary arms 4-14 mildot ffp scope

.357 SIG is objectively the best caliber. Prove me wrong.
Just kidding. I've never shot it. What do you guys think? I hear good things. The Secret Service uses SIG P229 chambered in .357 (Speer Gold Point ammo). I've always thought it would be cool to SBR a .357 AR as well. Can't find a lower though.
>>32690645
Always figured it would make a nice caliber for a semi-auto carbine or subgun.
Particularly with machined copper bullets, might even get through a 3A vest with enough hits.
>I've always thought it would be cool to SBR a .357 AR as well. Can't find a lower though.
There's always the Sig MPX, it's not cheap, but then, it's not like shooting .357 Sig is like blasting away with low cost Tula 9mm Luger ammo.
>>32690685
Is the .357 MPX shipping?
Much like 10mm, it has a bad habit of killing pistols made for weaker cartridges. The M&P couldn't handle the round and I don't trust a Glock conversion to handle it under heavy use. It costs as much as .357 Magnum to fire which isn't making it more popular. It's another good round that is probably going to die a quiet death.
Looking for a canteen for hiking/festivals (tfw paying 10 bucks for a beer)
I'm torn between the oldschool ALICE and the newer MOLLE system (pic related).
Any experience with either system?
It really depends on what belt you're using to carry it.
Metal ALICE clips aren't flexible and they attach to the belt in a way that they go right up against your clothing/body. Being stiff against your body means less flopping as you move though.
MOLLE will be flexible and more comfortable, but how much it tends to flop around depends on how stiff your belt is.
But I would just suggest getting a Nalgene type bottle anyway or a metal canteen that is strong enough to be boiled. The absolute worst part of having a canteen is cleaning it.
Yes, I know you clean your stuff right away.
Yes, I know you were busy and let it sit empty for a day, a week or more.
Yes, it might just be worth the cost of replacing it not to deal with the thought of one of those bacteria colonies you missed breaking off the side and travelling down into your mouth as you take a nice long drink from that opaque plastic canteen.

Shut the fuck up, put your trip back on, and get back to your gear queer thread.
I'd go the MOLLE version if you want the military asthetic OP. Or, as usual, always better civilian options.
Is anyone watching Alone?

>>32690236
Haven't this season but I watched the first two.
Good show but I wish they'd focus more on the survival aspects and less on people's personal lives. For example wasting a whole episode last season on the tranny talking about he/she's "anger issues."
Why would you own a gun that can cut your hand just from holding it? Just because it's a meme and all of you are autists?
I don't have Parkinson's so it's really not a problem for me.

Think this grip module will fit on the old 320's?
I'm digging how it looks.
>>32690713
Almost certainly, that's the whole point of the 320
Could you even use missiles at this range? What's the point in shadowing this close? The Russians knew the Royal Navy was going to be following them, why isn't the destroyer at a distance that it could be more effective?
>>32689964
>wasting missiles when ship is in gun range
Also it's a show of force and it's easier to measure their radar when they are close
>>32689990
The Kuznetsov has so many fucking PD guns, I wouldn't bet money on the destroyer.
>22 30mm gatling guns
That's an awful lot of BRRRRRT
If the Russians had done any damage to the DD then it would've been anything from an international incident to war.
The DD is that close for a few reasons:
>show of force.
>intel gathering, radar signals, sonar signals, better visuals, intercepting communications, etc.
We C&C: Renegade now.
>>32689931
Silencer Co claims it's hearing safe even with +P+ so long as it's got all the baffles, but I'm skeptical.
If they managed that then it's probably got a bunch of ports drilled in the barrel that fucks your velocity down to subsonic, so you may as well not even bother with supersonic ammo to begin with.
>>32689931
CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEEEL
>>32689989
the prototype doest appear to be ported, but that may have changed since then to the production version.
With those claims I would suspect porting though.
