We all agree that most best sniper ever stories are just overinflated propaganda tales. Right?

Also, am I the only one who wants a Russian sniper QT 3.14 waifu?
We always talk about how one's waifu is the best one or in the opposite complete shit.
But I always think about her.
I know it's pretty much the only decent picture of her, and that she wasn't that attractive, but she shot right trough my heart. I know it's stupid but plz halp I need to find her and make her beautiful babies.

Nogunz here, how difficult would it be to build one of these?

Do you have any smithing tools whatsoever?
Go watch InRange TV's CETME L build tutorial and see for yourself
tl;dr too difficult
>>33017678
on the higher end of difficulty, you'd need to weld touchy parts to get the trunnion in and i'm not sure what kind of flats are currently available.
SO I just bought a 1942 Turkish K Kale Mauser for $300. I know I overpaid but I wanted it today and that was lit the cheapest price in my city for a classic bolt action. It's in good condition but I have questions. Best ammo to shoot for the 8mm? I see a lot of grain options and such but I figured /k/ would know. Also why is the front metal should strap circle doesn't have a nail in it like bascially every other k kale I looked at.
Also any opinions on the Turkish Mauser would be cool. I'd love to read what I can.
>>33017568
>Best ammo to shoot for the 8mm?
Your rifle's sights are calibrated for Turkish S-ball, a copy of the Imperial German S-Patrone launching a 154gr bullet at ~2950fps. Turkish surplus can still be found on the secondary market; keep an eye out at auctions, guns shops, pawn shops and classified ads.
Basically any other 8x57mm surplus you find will work in it too. I suggest getting a 22# firing pin spring to help set off hard/recessed primers found on some surplus ammo.
As for new-production ammo no-one makes anything ballistically comparable to S-Patrone, so just shoot whatever you can get cheapest EXCEPT for the new-production Romanian/HotShot brand ammo; it's out-of-spec and doesn't chamber in all 8x57mm rifles. Get one or two boxes to test in your rifle first before ordering in bulk.
>Also why is the front metal should strap circle doesn't have a nail in it like bascially every other k kale I looked at.
Probably still using up leftover parts from earlier Turkish M1903 and Gew.98 rifles.
Welcome to the Turkish Rifle Club.

>I see a lot of grain options and such but I figured /k/ would know
If you're apprehensive because of ammo potentially being too powerful or high pressure for the action, then you should definitely go for underpowered ammo at least until you're sure it can handle stronger ammo. But it can probably shoot anything you feed it.
You guys have any idea what this shitty surplus is or what it's worth?
don't be a troll, everyone knows its like the best 7.62x39mm ammo on the market next to golden tiger.

It's probably worth a trip to the hospital now that you've huffed that black mold.

Are there any guides for building a pump action shotgun? It's always a guide for building break actions and the slam bang shotguns.I don't think there has been much change in the design of pump actions, which has been around forever. Are there at least some decent blueprints and stuff to go off of?
>>33017545
Why would you build one when you can buy one for 250 bucks
>>33018126
Why do people build any gun?
>>33018816
Because it's cheaper or you can make it more accurate.
Neither apply to pump action shotguns.
So /k/, what vehicle available on the civilian market would you pick to convert into an APC?
Asking because that thread about the Kurdish meatball with treads got me thinking;
>"It can't be that hard to make one."

Can any blade fags here tell me if the reverse grip is practical for irl sword combat.
>>33017244
There are some circumstances where you might be benefited by using it momentarily, like stabbing backward or down, but holding the sword like that during regular combat or pre-combat is weaboo-tier meme autism
>sword combat
>practical
pick one
But to be direct, absolutely not, there is about a grand total of 0 reasons you would awkwardly hold a sword backwards where you have a severely limited moveset
>>33017291
/Thread.
It's really fucking obvious if you've ever held anything swordlike.
Think of this design, No locking lugs or anything, just the pressure from to keep the round in place for a splitsecond before the pressure Will launch back the casing against the slope and launch the casing out the side.
Flaws? LOTS.
But would it technically be possible?

I can't carry both a remington 870 and an ar-15 its one or the other and I opted for the shotgun, I can shit the slug on target at 150 yards pretty effectively.
>>33016859
>This guy can't shoot past 100 yards with slugs
Under what circumstances is it legal or appropriate to draw a concealed weapon?
I was accosted at the gas station by some dumbass today. At first he, was sitting in his front seat flipping me the bird and pointing at me. I just ignored it. Then he got out of his car and came up to me to proclaim how pissed off he was.
I was able to verbally deescalate the situation, but would it have been appropriate to draw when he got out of his car considering I have no idea what he's about to do?
What did you do to piss him off Opie
We know you're omitting details
>>33016828
Nothing as far as I know. He just started flipping the bird while I was watching the meter go up.
>>33016810
You need to wait until there is plausible reason to believe that an attacker is going to harm you before you should draw. And if you draw, you better fire and kill your attacker. You will get fucked in court.
If you did something to piss the guy off, then you might even be hit with provoking a violent reaction before killing the guy, which is almost assured court room issues.
As a man who carries a gun, you have a duty to lose every argument and keep unwanted comments to yourself.
Hahaha I Kek at all of you peasants and your debates between your manchildren calibers.

Why are high ranking officers given so much credit for victories when they literally did fucking nothing to influence the battle?
I'm watching documentaries and hearing things like "Von Manstein fought hard to relieve the 6th Army" but he didn't did he, he sat in his headquarters (normally a former hotel or school) and read reports and gave orders to subordinates all day whilst eating 3 square meals.

Oh look, another idiot who thinks dumb grunts shooting at anything that moves is a viable strategy and that you don't need a more intelligent tier of big-picture people to assure victory.
