It's good if you're a teenager, or have the intellectual development of one. Otherwise it's very simplistic and shallow.

I would highly recommend that book to anybody who enjoys military fiction.

Inside Delta Force by Haney was a really interesting and quick read. I liked American Sniper and whatever SEALS: their untold story or something like that. I find that when it comes to war literature, it's hard to beat nonfiction

Mosin Discussion Thread!

I've got an M39 myself, and I was looking to start handloading for it. Does anybody else handload 7.62x54R? I haven't handloaded before, but I'm well-aware of the procedures (have been reading the Nosler guide religiously) and could use some pointers on what equipment is available now that's a good deal for beginners.

Also, apparently loading 7.62x39 ~123gr projectiles into 7.62x54R cases is a thing for cheap 54R plinking ammo?
54 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>33025778
Commercial x54R ammo is widely available, and it doesn't suffer from the same problem 8mm Mauser has.

So I've never felt the need to handload it.
>>
>>33025833
Gotcha. It's not that it's not widely-available, but that it's quite expensive to buy the good stuff ($0.75/round post-shipping). So I figure I can save a lot by hand-loading, and re-using the brass at least 6 or 7 times. I have 200 rounds of Privi sitting around that I plan to shoot, and then reload.

Not to look down on great ammo like Silver Bear, but I figure for an M39 I should only use the best possible for each pull of the trigger.
>>
>>33025899
I buy cheap steel case like Tula or Barnaul for practice, and buy better stuff (like S&B Match) for target shooting.

If you plan on handloading, I suggest looking into what Lapua has.

This, Cæsar is no fool he know his legion is a bunch of raiders. His plan is to revolutionize them into a real empire.

Cæsar is like the Donald Trump of the wasteland; his ideas are great but how he gets there is not. The NCR is a corrupt bureaucratic establishment.

No use in buying one, only if the spirits of your Mongolian forefathers occupy the rifle you will be able to shoot like Simo did

I'm not interested in slaying hundreds of men I just want a reliable rifle that is accurate and I prefer bolt action I just heard the mosin was great

>>

Do that except also do it from your holster. 4 seconds is a pretty long time for 3 shots inside 5 yards, but it's a good start I guess. Just work your way down to less time at that range.

is this the 'shitty range rules' version?
