I'm looking to get a pair of jackboots. What are the best kind, and where can I get them?
>>33019136
Hi Mr. ATF
>>33019136
Are you joining the fashion police?
>>33019136
Get a time machine then go back and suck hitler's microcock and single nut in exchange for a pair.
I have a /k/ related question
I plan to go into law enforcement, but if that doesn't work out the way I'm planning I'll probably try to work in the federal prison system.
How are posts assigned in federal prisons?
If you want a specific post, like the guard towers where they're armed with a rifle, do you request to be posted there?
Is it a good idea or too try hard mode to list firearms experience in a resume if you want an armed post?
Like "Served x years in x branch, received x hours of training with x weapon platform" or "Certified in x in which I received x hours of training with x weapon system."
Go to /b/. Download some jail/b/ait. Go to federal prison. See what jobs they have for prisoners (besides bending over to pick up the soap). ??????????? PROFIT11111!11!11 You now work in a federal prison.
>>33019250
No not as a prisoner, as a CO
I'm not a filthy pedo criminal gang member
>>33019113
State Prison CO here. Feds is mostly the same.
>everybody starts out as a booth bitch
>stand out and show interest in desired job
>apply when position opens
>towers are for lazy CO's except Sallyport tower
>Towers NEVER use their weapons
>firearms experience is nice but a college degree (required for federal) stands out
>smart and calm and dependable is 1000x better than "I can shoot good" because 99.99 percent of your job is communicating and babysitting inmates. (The other .01% is non-lethal force.)
>CO's almost never use their lethals unless in an actual escape attempt or hostage situation that the negotiators fail during
>most CO's don't use lethals even in escape attempts
>K-9 is the most rewarding job and is the easiest transition to LE if they don't take you before Corrections does
Lets say you're entering a knife fight, with an opponent who has no real training with a knife (assuming you don't either) you're allowed to choose any knife you want, what do you choose?
>>33019094
A gun.

Well /k/, I finally need new pants. I only have 1 non-work pair (I work LE and Security part time) and need some that fit. I hate Jeans. Never find a comfy pair. But I wear Cargo shorts a lot and Cargo pants for work.
Anyways, I'm looking at 5.11 Tactical pants (no I'm not a fucking sheepdog autist.). What is the best comfy pair to get. I need good cargo pockets and a decent sized crotch area that isn't tight but also don't want to go full mall Ninja.

Why can't the military figure out Arctic navy ops?
>The Polar Star (WAGB-10), America’s sole remaining heavy icebreaker, is approaching her final years of service and it’s not clear when Washington will allocate the necessary money to replace the aging ship. This leaves the United States Coast Guard praying she doesn’t break down, and the country struggling with one of its least-understood and least-addressed national security needs.
What is more disturbing is that most lawmakers in Congress don’t see the urgency to build new ones. Commissioned in 1976, Polar Star is more than 40 years old and was supposed to retire 10 years ago. However, the dearth of heavy icebreakers in the Coast Guard’s fleet has forced her to stay active until replacements arrive—whenever that is.
Coast Guard Vice Commandant Admiral Charles Michel stressed to the Committee on Polar Icebreaker Cost Assessment on Monday that the service could not guarantee year-round access to the Arctic Circle because its icebreaker fleet is not reliable. The other only heavy icebreaker, the Polar Sea, suffered engine failures in 2010 and can no longer operate. What this means is that if the Polar Star suffers a significant mechanical issue or a major emergency occurs, the Coast Guard may not be able to respond.

un-ironic cost saving from global warming.
wont need one soon.
Why retire it if it works? Why even bother having an icebreaker if Canada does it already? Global warming is already ensuring the icebreaker wont even be needed.

>global warming

Oh, this meme again
Nogunz here, why are some bullet diameters in calibers and others millimeters
for example you have 9mm and 10mm
but .40 cal is the same diameter as 10mm? and then you have shit like .22 .380 .45
why
Some come from places like merica or antebellum bongistan, others come from filthy continentals.

because firearms are older than the metric system

Hey that's pretty neat
Is dual wielding practical at all or is it just a rule of cool thing?
Pic unrelated

its not practical, its not cool, and its kind of awkward.

I need examples. I'm in a cross board argument and I need your autistic opinions /k/
Is buying milsurp dying off? No one is going to buy plastic military surplus guns in the future right? Will the plastic guns even survive that long?
Plastic kept out of the sun will probably last longer.
Plastic left on a shelf will. But it does not take abuse very well.
Plastic was cost effective so obviously the militaries wanted it far more than quality produced hardware that will last 100 years+ without series degradation, but this could be the point if the tinfoil hatters are remotely correct.
military surplus is going the way of the dino. It used to be militaries and governments would sell off old, outdated arms to the general public or to foreign countries. Now, they either destroy those arms or give them to another nation for their armed forces. Plus, since almost every country uses a select fire weapon, and the ATF ruled "once a machine gun, always a machine gun", it's extremely unlikely we'll see anything besides the rare and expensive parts kit of various guns.
Sidearms, on the other hand, may be something we'll see more of, though even that is unlikely. Governments seem to love giving away arms to poorer countries these days, and by the time that country gets the next generation of hand-me-downs, they've destroyed the guns they were given
This is the first version of the CZ-75.
It had malfunction problems due to the length of the rails. They fixed this on the next version.

Nigga, the entire board knows about the short rail thanks to Gunsmith Cats

I'd poo in her loo
Is this good trigger discipline?
Man look at those arms. Looks like he got short range and mid range covered.
Yes, his finger isn't on the trigger at all just like how it's suppose to be when simply holding it. So it's good trigger discipline.
>>33018217
C. Struggs everyone
Give me one good reason why you don't own a 10mm
I haven't purchased one.
>>33018032
Fair enough
But I do.
is there a bigger meme caliber than 357 sig
>hey, we need a caliber inbetween .40 S&W and 10mm
WHO the fuck asked for this, this is a bigger meme than .41 magnum. this is, -dare i say it-, a bigger meme than .38 rimfire
I think Texas Highway Patrol uses or used it at some point, I guess it was better at penetrating windshields or some meme like that
>>33017913
Secret Service and I believe also the Federal Marshalls use .357 Sig.
>>33017952
why though
why not just use 10mm
Friendly reminder a 12 gauge shotgun is the most utilitarian firearm in existence and if you had to bug out there's no better firearm option out there
>>33017747
While I agree, the ammunition is ungodly big for its ballistic effect.
>large thick ammunition
>heavy ammo
>limited capacity for gun
>limited human capacity
>very limited range
yeah no
>>33017777
Hunt everything from rodents to durr with it. If I had to choose one gun to live with for the rest of my life it would be a 12 gauge pump action. If you don't hunt then I guess you would disagree.
