A single cat? I wonder what the sortie rate is.
>>
>>33012702
Well, there trying to sell it to India as well. Not that it has much chance there either. In any case i don't believe there is a single succesful naval variant plane that was a conversion instead of designed that way from initial development.

Anybody here from CA or states with similar laws ever get questioned about a blocked 30 round mag? Has a cop ever checked to see that it was indeed blocked either by plastic block inserted or by a rivet?

yes
ive had gunstores and range officers check too
california a shit
>>

Its easy OP
> Keep a low profile
> Don't go to the range with your 10/20 or 10/30 mags
> Buy a couple 10 round mags and only take those to the range.
> Keep your head down and nose clean
> Never reveal your true power lvl

I haven't yet but it's not July. I'm sure after July hits they'll be doing it to "make busts" and feel like they're "helping the community." Guess I'll have to epoxy a couple of cheapo pmags as sacrifices

Hey /k/. Got my tax return coming in soon, thinking of getting a weapon for home defense. My only issue is that I live in an apartment building. My lease has no rules regarding firearms of any sort, including anything for defending myself on the property, but I still want to be sure I don't blow the neighbor's wall open should I need to defend myself. In your opinion, what would be a good choice? Pic unrelated.

anything that will take hollow points

I was actually thinking of getting a glock. Would hollow points run through a suppressor reliably, and would there be other issues with using a suppressor for self defense?

I bought a Cold Steel Trail Master and a Kabar and ended up returning both because of poor factory edges. I'm considering getting a Knives of Alaska. Will I be disappointed?

Yes because you're a stupid fucking cuck that can't figure out to sharpen a fucking knife.

That is literally caveman tier shit.

>Poor factory edges
>What is sharpening
Could you be more of a flintstone?
>>
Knives of Alaska generally have excellent factory edges. They're quality blades. Cold Steel knives often come with shit factory edges, but are easy to sharpen. Kabar-branded knives nowadays are generally cheaply-made, and their rat tail tang makes them unsuitable for outdoor use. They're budget brands, and Knives of Alaska is a league above them. If you really want an excellent knife that won't let you down, get a TOPS or a Benchmade. I love the Benchmade Bushcrafter and have some great knives from TOPS (High Desert Harpoon, ALRT XL03, and Kodiak Jac). If you're on a serious budget, just get a Mora Companion and roll with it.

Alright I'm gonna buy my first handgun in the near future and I'm eyeing the Steyr L9-A1 (being an Austrian myself)

You cunts are the closest thing to experts on this matter so give me some pros and some cons on this
26 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
>>33010672
Pros: it's a well made reliable gun. It looks good, handles well.

Cons: it isn't as popular as other options so the aftermarket isn't there if that matters. Holster options are more limited but I doubt that matters much in Austria.
>>
>>33010672
>You cunts are the closest thing to experts on this matter

Except /k/ isn't. They buy this because they think they get attention at the range for having something that isn't a Glock.

Get a Glock.
>>
>>33010672
I have the S9A1 model myself. It's comfy in the hand and the sights and trigger are both quite nice, so it's a step up from a standard Glock right out of the box. On the other side, mine tried to bukkake me with brass when I first got it but the ejection's slowly getting better - I'm not sure if the L model has that issue or not, it's not something that particularly bothers me personally but I can understand how it might be a dealbreaker to others.

It's like the bud light of beer. It's well established, you can find it anywhere, and it works. Doesn't matter to most that PBR, Coors, or Miller may be similarly price or slightly better.

Alright I'll bite. I've got so many folding knives and fixed blades, that I really don't count them... With the exception of Cold Steel Shanghai Shadow and Cold Steel XL G-10 Espada.

But pic related is my sword like things. A Hanwei Raptor Katana, Cold Steel Cutlass Machete, and a Cold Steel Chines War Sword Machete.

I have a Valiant Armoury Rhinelander (long sword) on order currently. Should be a month or so before I get it.

Alright /k I'd like some advice and help on how to make an actual potato cannon. Like a full blown cannon. Like a mounted cannon that can kill some one a mile away. Anyway I was thinking maybe a 8 to 10 foot 2.5 inch barrel for starters. What do you guys think?
13 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
>>33008445
Most use a explosion to launch.
There is a good design where you use compressed air.
The design used battery ,water sprinkler valve, and schedule 40 pvc pipe and tire valve.
>>
>>33008445
dont use a potato, narrow down the barrel and use a radish, a far denser projectile that ive managed to put a hole in a road sign before.

also, cut the end of the muzzle down so it is sharp, so it'll force the projectile into a sort of a "plug" so the propellant doesnt escape around it
>>
>>33008445
Potato is not strong enough or of a reliable enough composition to reliably hit near anything at one mile. Probably not enough mass to make it go that far either.

When I made mine I just used Hairspray and a lantern flint to light it, could launch a potato about 80-100m out of a 2'6" barrel.

You'd need much more (and more reliable) propellant, a larger barrel, and something denser than a potato. People use grill lighters as ignition sources and those seem to work the best.

If you could shoot out to 600m I would be very impressed.
