Hey /k/, I have a little personal project going on and I ordered the cheapest AKM barrel and trunnion for it. The barrel can slide easily into the trunnion, it's still a tight fit, but it doesn't require a press.
Should I be concerned that I'm able to insert it by hand, should it be stiffer?
I'm not actually building an AK. So I'm thinking I don't need to be overly concerned.
>>33004847
what are you building?
>>33004847
>i.o.
>that's not even an ak barrel
>>33004876
A single shot bolt action, I'm using the barrel, trunnion, and bolt head as my only non home manufactured parts.

Stop digging in your mom's nightstand. I know that's where she keeps her dildo and you like to sniff it. But stop.
Apparently a US Army Ranger shanked a guy in the neck with an MRE spoon in Iraq for a confirmed kill. http://tribunist.com/news/report-army-ranger-gets-confirmed-kill-with-mre-spoon/?utm_source=MOH
I thought you guys said ex-cons couldn't enlist in the .mil?
>>33004685
Yes, it's well known. It happened.
Miami Dolphins had an undefeated season in the 70's too. Does that blow your mind?
>>33004685
Is a confirmed kill an official thing?

What's your /greyman/ look?
A person who believes they can dress like the Maytag man and carry an assault rifle in a lawn chair bag through FEMA/LEO/UN check points undetected during a crisis event.
When the balloon went up i threw on my multi cam BDU's, grabbed my shoulder bag and shoved my M4 in the old lawn chair bag by the door, as the grey man, no one would ever suspect me of being well armed and fed!
"grey man" as 99% of people here believe is mallninja shit half assedly disguised as regular clothes.
If the situation ever arose where I would need to do that, vans, carhartt pants, a t-shirt, a fleece and a carhartt jacket.
If it's hot out, replace the jackets and pants with a pair of dickies shorts.
Me on the left.

I'll blend right in.
what is the essence of war, /k/? (the thing that contributes the most to winning a war
is it reconnaissance and counter-recon?
or is it hoarding as much aircraft and tanks as possible?
or simply having competent infantry?
>>33004105
Killing fools dead.
Logistics, communication and situational awareness.
>>33004131
so, reconnaissance and advancing very very slowly?
Here's something I heard on iv8888, and I can't tell if it's completely retarded or not;
The .357 mag has more killing power than the .44 mag because the .44 mag is going too fast, and passes through its target whereas the .357 mag is going slower, and more energy is transferred into the target.
A brick thrown at a person passes more energy into a target than .357 mag.
The .357 mag passes all its energy into a tiny area, and even though it allegedly has hundreds of pounds of force, it doesn't knock over anything bigger than a rabbit.
Throw a brick at someone instead. It will knock them down.
Get your CC bricks now before they are banned. Don't forget your bear defense cinder blocks for innawoods.
>>33004111
So it's better to have something that over penetrates because knock down power is pretty much a myth?
>>33004111
Not even close. A brick weighs like 5 lbs. and you could throw it maybe 20 mph at a person.
Do the math and you'll see .357 mag has riduclous amounts more energy.
Prove me wrong. Pro tip: you can't

Why do American have such a hard on for this fuckin Mauser ripoff??
Either go ACTUAL Lee Enfield for her magesty's corgi's, or real Mauser for the Reich..
>>33004055
Do you have any guns at all?
>>33004040
I love mine. They are great guns. Sadly mine are pieced to together from various sources but for being a 100 year old gun it still pefectly.
I had this idea last night for hidden-in-plain-sight thing- why not hide a small gun (PPK, LCP, etc) in a box of chocolates? Hiding guns in books is overdone and cliche now (especially if it's a Bible or something with a corny gun-related title).
>>33003749
The idea is to hide it in something no body will ever pick up ie a bible, womens studies textbook, black history month book
>>33003749
>hiding a gun in the first place a woman would look
Its like you want them to find it.
>>33003819
I don't care if the wife finds it- I'm thinking about hiding it from burglars. Nobody raids fridges and pantries when there's TVs to take.
Which one is the best weapon overall?

I am looking to build my first gun. I think it would be a good way to learn and possibly save some money. I am thinking of some kind of AR variant. Any advice or suggestions?

What does /k/ think about the MP5SD?
soober kewl
>>33003443
theMP5SD3 is perhaps the best SMG in existence.
>is an MP5
>is hollywood tier silent because big ass suppressor
>MP5 ergos
>single,burst,full auto
>you can buy a rail mount for it and stick those cool foregrips/EOtechs
>retractable stock
>did i mention it's an MP5 ?
>>33003443
I think it's excellent for its intended purpose:
Firing standard 9mm ammo at subsonic velocity with an integrated suppressor.
It's also iconic.
Performance wise there are likely better, more modern solutions.
Say my name.
