Jus clean them every time after you shoot them. Basic field strip and clean what you can reach. There is such a thing as too much lubricant though. Couple drops in the right places will do, look up what those spots are if you aren't mechanically inclined. Wipe down the externals quickly with a gun rag (those dark grey ones) every time you handle them.

What if a gang leader marks you for death? What can the police really do? Lock him up?
Ok say they lock him up. He'll just have someone else kill you. In fact as the leader, he wouldn't have been the one to do it in the first place, some grunt that needed to put in work would be the murderer.
But for shits and giggles say the only person that could and would carry out the deed is the gang leader and they lock him up. Would they lock him up for life just because of a death threat? No. And when that fucker gets out he'll REALLY want to go after you. So what do you do?
Have the police protect you your whole life and have no privacy? Go on a "Witness Protection" type program and run like a bitch? Or do you kill the gang leader yourself and show you can't be fucked with (or at least you die fighting instead of running). But no, that wouldn't be a "Justifiable Homicide" because it wasn't an immediate threat. But what was I supposed to do, go to the police? If the police could do anything gangs wouldn't be a problem in the first place.
I am coming here to ask this because everything I found online has nothing to do with being marked for death, only scenarios that involve walking past a group of gang members that might single you out for no reason. I don't want to know about that shit. I want to know how to legally deal with being marked for death.

So, I don't know if I'm fucked or not.
I got separated from the Navy a ways back under erroneous enlistment. My re-entry code was RE3E, which means ineligible without a waiver.
Fast forward a few years after deciding not to pursue the military, and I wanted to get into police work. One of the pre-reqs is must be eligible for reenlistment if you have prior military service (how depressingly funny that if I hadn't tried to enlist at all, this problem would not exist). A recruiting officer at my local PD said I would need to get that navy waiver before I'd be considered for the police.
What are my chances of getting a waiver from the Navy for me to pursue a career that has nothing to do with the Navy? And how would I begin the process?

This makes no sense. The m16a4 was designed to be shot from a bladed position, hence the increase in stock length (also done to decrease hitting yourself in the eye). And if you try to square your hips you end up with this twisted stupid presentation thats awful and unbalanced.

I'm doing some homebrew stuff for a Dark Heresy/Only War game, and I'm putting in a lightweight 60mm "Commando" mortar as an option for some spooky Imperial spec ops games.
Me being me, I put way too much thought into details that the players won't give a damn about. Such as whether or not the thing is rifled.
I see examples of both smoothbore and rifled mortars in modern-day weapons. Why pick one over the other?

A smoothbore mortar is naturally easier to manifacture, but in turn requires more complicated bombs, while a rifled mortar allows for smaller bombs, without fins to stabilize it. The latter is altogether a good idea, if you want the bombs to be multipurpose and easy to carry - something suitable for a "Commando" mortar.
