Who /noprogress/ here? I have been drawing real people for a month now and my last art is pretty much on the same level as my first one. If not worse. Also Ive been drawing a lot of pictures 5 to 30 minutes.

Nice idea for a thread, I might contribute a bit later.
Crits for your pic: Nice colours and I like that you are painting so opaquely. The ellipses need a lot of work though, they are wonky and the ones near the bottom of the bottle are thinner when they should be getting taller since they are farther from the horizon line. Maybe do some light construction lines before painting next time.

I want my art to be cartoony and stylized. Should I abandon that for the time being and worry about anatomy? (Obviously yeah)
Or should I try to balance it? I have no idea how to approach this.
And maybe just an explanation on the fundamentals overall.

Hey /ic/, has an artist you liked ever just suddenly disappeared and never came back?
As an example, very recently I suddenly remembered Paixin/Paixi and how his deviantart suddenly deactivated. I was hoping his tumblr was still going but strangely there was only an ask about what happened to his DA and two of his pieces, nothing else.

Some artists just explode. Nervous breakdowns, the like. Sometimes it's more of a depressive breakdown so they just disappear.
There's that one artist, NitroTitan, who comes to mind, dozens more than that over the years.

This happens now and then, yup. Sometimes too someone will get a studio job and just delete their old art, and since they are working they don't feel the need to post new stuff online as self promotion or anything.
