I'll apologise as i was a bit much. But its how it seems.
Beacuse the 100s of rejections are the competition of the other
It seems that way.... even if not its plausible?
how do I do it when not one human being in the world will cooperate with me apart from an elderly woman that needs dialysis? :(
we'd die first

Just looking for praise and compliments on this sketch I just did.
The ask your mom.
>>2747762
How about I ask yours?
Update. You
Videos work a lot better for me than books. If I wanted to learn everything... let's say from sticky but in a video form, what would you recommend me to watch?
>>2746919
Vilppu, Proko, Jeff Watts videos, gumroad rip of Scott Robertson, cgpeers of Watts Atelier and Schoolism videos.
Somebody call a /thread
>>2746934
Oh and other things you need are in first posts of general threads like DrawThread, AnimationThread etc.
I want to know for sure:
Do I miss a lot by skipping books? I want to be a pro in relatively short time.
How would you employ chance as a methodology?
do your own fucking homework.
Also, comparing "chance" to actual method is such an unbelievably grievous insult to the traditions prior to the armory show that I think I'll kill myself now. Art education is lost forever.

It's not like artist weren't artisan tier if it comes to the job and respect towards craft. What would you expect from guys who are half manual workers and half charlatans.
things on/of the internet that give random outcomes anybody? or examples of work?
Why do most artists only draw fan-art of currently trending franchises if fanart is supposedly a good means of keeping a franchise relevant? Good series' go unnoticed or forgotten about all the time because artists aren't dedicated to their favorites. They're dedicated to what's fresh in the public's mind, even if it's only mediocre or crap. How many artists are really drawing fanart of things they like and are fans of?
>>2744981
>How many artists are really drawing fanart of things they like and are fans of?
probably all of them, but they only publish the ones of trending franchises so they get their name out there and get new fans. it's the smart business move.
It's a promotional tool. You latch onto the current trend like a fuckin' lamprey and hope you get a few (You)s for your trouble. There is actual fanart out there too of course, but it'll always be drowned out by the people that are doing it anticipating a profit of some sort for their trouble.
>>2744983
>for their trouble
I can't believe I used that turn of phrase twice in the same post. How embarrassing smdh tbqph
So you can draw a box aye?
Draw one in which that apple would fit perfectly
You first.
>>2744914
How about your mum's box you son of a whore.
>>2744921
Can i paint with this arbrush kit (and i mean, good paintings like tho old 80's illustration, not miniatures/models) or should i buy another?
It's never the tools, OP.
Trying to draw from imagination, think of an obscure pose, end up not being able to draw it correctly. How do I end up being able to draw it correctly if I can't find a reference for the specific pose to learn from?
Learn construction. Then doing poses will be like playing with an action figure.
>>2747555
tell me the pose and i'll find you a reference
>>2747555
There's finite number of ways human body can move because of the limits on the joints and whatnot. Even if you won't find specific pose, you can reference one very similar to it (or not at all).
Hello /ic/, I recently started to draw using a tablet with Photoshop and I was wondering if it was possible to change the settings so when my cursor is pressed down it will not open the cursor settings. Much appreciated.
If you have a wacom you just need to uncheck something in the driver options of the pen. Not sure how it works with other tablets.
>>2747430
It's because of windows' shitty tablet settings. Go into the control panel and mess with the "pen and touch" settings and disable everything that sounds like it's going to f*ck your shit up.
>>2747430
>Windows start button
>Settings
>Devices
>Go to search bar
>Type: Pen and Touch
>Pen Options tab
>Select ''Press and Hold''
>Click Settings...
>Disable Press and Hold
Done.
My values look different on different screens, how do you tell which one is correct?
Google your screens and find out which one has better colours.
Also calibrate both monitors if you haven't.
>>2746346
Are there special "art monitors" that show colours properly? The monitor I use is pretty old and I think it might be worth it to just get a new one.
>>2746368
Yes.
Any1 knows what this image represents?? It's a tattoo of Ninja, from Die Antwoord.
>>2746207
It says "Drink Coke" in Phoenician
A mashup from different logos I guess ( Coke and Mcdonalds inter alia )
thanks to you I've found it's actually the Coke logo from Thailand, so thank you!!
I have been looking to get back into drawing recently and have been doing random doodles or drawing from reference. Was wondering if anyone had any advice or tips on how to stay with it or improve!
Image was doodled today, reference was used.
