How do you develop a signature style, /ic/?
Like whenever your art is posted, people know its from you.
I wish i was the guy who drew pic related. People always mistake for someone else because i copy a lot.
I've heard that the more you force it, the harder it is.
>>2491757
>hey guys i made this and i want to show it but i dont want to post in the related threads in case somebody misses the fact that me, Chink O'Chinkingtons is posting in the board
back to /pol/ with you
wow he is THAT well known
i thought im the only guy who can tell his drawings
Pee pee doo doo it is a bad city
>>2493343
I just showed this to my wifes son, he absolutely loves it
>>2493355
It's part of a comic that I hope to finish, if I can ever stop lapsing into depressive funks.
>>2493357
Nice blog, kill yourself. No one gives a shit.
Anybody living here as an artist or know someone who is? I'm a poor motherfucker from Kansas with little career prospects atm but I want to find other people who want to discuss the future of art/whats coming after post modernism. I figure thats the best place to go. Don't know how to get there tho
>>2488609
Yes I lived there for a couple of years, if you want to succeed you have to be very sociable, politely aggressive, active, and be willing to be a bitch for a while. If you don't know how to get there and really want to, you just gotta sacrifice stuff, find couches whatever
>>2488611
I have the money to make a trip this summer I figure I'll go and see what happens. I want to find a circle of artists, intellectuals, poets, etc. badly, any pointers on how to find those types of people while I'm there. I was thinking I'd book a hostel although they're a lot pricier than they are in Europe. Still nothing like a hotel
>>2488609
Too expensive, go to detroit or montreal or somwhere creative people are but the cost of living won't force you to live with 12 Dominican roommates.
Do you fap to your own work?
>>2482743
No
I always see too many flaws in my work no matter what anyone says.
That feel when literally everybody here learns drawing to make porn of their animu waifus and you want to paint big compositions of environmental scenes like busy bazaars, forest picnics or archeological digging sites.
>>2482772
Those people are the degenerates of pornographic art.
Guys I'm looking to combine two images in a tattoo design but I'm struggling to put together a concept for this chick, Anyone up for a brainstorm ?
These are the images, It's to be a planescape sleeve with elements of realism and a bright color contrast
$35 ok? i have paypal
>>2493159
I don't want art just concepts that would meld together the styles, I haven't actually played the game....hence, yeah...
Do any of you have any tips for drawing and imagining figures in 3D space? Whenever I draw there is no sense of actual perspective or foreshortening and everything looks flat.
Lay down some vanishing points and maybe a horizon line.
There are huge video tutorials on perspective on cgpeers. And a ton of books in the art book thread.
>>2492473
Draw (or imagine, if you can) simple geometric primitives in perspective and build forms within them. It works for Kim Jung Gi. This question really doesn't deserve its own thread.
That dog has such a beautiful smile
I drew this in class, and was thinking about getting it tattooed on my lower forearm. I need an honest opinion on how it looks, as it is going to be a permanent tattoo if I decide to get it inked on me.
it looks fucking stupid. why the fuck would you want a retarded doodle from a biology notebook permanently tattooed to your body. it's a shitty fucking sketch too.
Nice grade 10 math notes underage poster
/ic/ convince me not to fall for the cintiq meme... I want one so bad, but I know I am just a shitty beginner artist.
Wait until they release the Companion 3; buy a >$200 Huion Giano until then and see if you even want one by that point.
>>2480443
is companion 3 out soon?
>>2480450
I don't know if there even will be one. The release pattern of the first two suggested that there would have been a companion in February if there was going to be another one. I'm not sure what if anything Wacom's planning, but the second one supposedly has a lot of flaws.
should you force yourself into using a tripod grip?
pic related: left is my natural pen grip, i can get a lot of motion with my fingers and wrist combined, and also use my arm, but i'm not sure if it could cause me damage in the future. right is a tripod grip.
also post how you hold your pen / pencil
who here /wattsstylemasterrace/ ?
>>2488643
i was forced to draw right handed as a kid when we were learning that shit in school, so once that time passed i switched back to my left hand without noticing i was doing anything wrong
I can't draw for shit, my perspective is always wrong, as is with everything when it comes to drawing, where the hell do I begin. Learn perspective first then focus on learning to draw people? What is the path I should be using to learn shit?
>>2480998
Needs more Loomis.
>>2481006

BEFORE YOU ASK "WHERE DO I START GUYS LMAO?" READ THE STICKY
Old one at 300.
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make your mom proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, There is a question thread for that.
Visit the usual "Art book Thread" to find your desired books.
Do not forget to PLEASE RESIZE and crop your images before uploading them. 1kpx is fine.

There's a new sticky in town! You can see it at https://www.reddit.com/comments/46sb9k/
>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
Old thread: >>2485712
Sorry for the OP pic being the same girl, someone made a compilation of beginner studies from two or three threads back and I thought it fit!
How did I do on eyes senpai?
>>2488707
I don't get the 3D feel.
How's that high school tier drawing going /ic/?
>listening to design cinema right now
I-I was working on my fundamentals, Feng.
>>2488120
I really enjoy his youtube channel, even if I never git gud I'll still keep listening because its interesting to hear some one good talk about what makes em so
What's the deal with dA ? Most if not all the favs you get are from people expecting favs in return.
They are just farming, liking as much creation as they can to get noticed. Sometimes they do not even look what you post.
Seriously, how to get constructive criticisms for noob-tier drawings ?
>>2485212
i made a new gallery and all people reacted to so far is having scary eyes on album cover flag or dropping questions about a jew flag. first visiters were a brony and some animefag instawatched me. i guess im supposed to pander to these people and wait for money to come in but its by no means a golden fountain for creative people.
PS who the fuck expects faves in return i came to share my art not look at your stupid ass OCs
>>2485212
>Seriously, how to get constructive criticisms for noob-tier drawings ?
I'd say asking artist directly, good artists at least.
I don't think there's a platform only for criticism, as having a comment box or something similar people usually leave something like "I like it" or anything of that caliber
you could try this shitty board too, be sure to post your work on a currently on going specific thread (like beginner thread or x style thread) instead of creating your own
>>2485212
wut? that's only true for the people that favorite your work seconds after you upload.
Post a pic from your art folder that has something in common with the one above you.
