http://claremontindependent.com/student-senator-picture-of-gun-is-a-threat-to-black-mental-and-emotional-health/
“It’s truly in bad taste to have a large depiction of a gun in a dorm space—especially when students of color also reside there... Now let’s imagine there were countless videos of white teenagers, white teenagers that look like you, or your brother or your sister, get shot to death by police officers. Imagine scrolling down Facebook everyday and seeing a new video of the same thing, over and over again. Really put yourself in that headspace. Then ask yourself whether it’s the brightest idea to have white teenagers, who have a very real fear of getting shot, see a large gun every time they want to get food from the dinning [sic] hall.”
“My Black Mental and Emotional Health Matters. I shouldn’t be reminded every time I leave my dorm room of how easy my life can be taken away, or how many Black lives have been taken away because of police brutality. This is emotionally triggering for very obvious reasons. And if you want to belittle or invalidate by [sic] black experience, I live in Atherton, come thru, let’s have that idiotic conversation.”
[The artist] plans to modify her mural. “I spoke with Gregory earlier and we agreed on a modification that preserves the integrity of the original piece while avoiding any potentially triggering content—it’s a change I was absolutely happy to make in the interest of creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone in my community... I have absolutely no right to decide whether or not my artwork is offensive to marginalized communities—nor does anyone else in a position of privilege, racial or otherwise.”

Holy shit how fucking sensitive can someone be
hahaha let these premadona's wank each other of. they'll amount to nothing in 5 to 10 years.
work hard to rise above this level of mediocrity we seem to find ourselves in. the incredibles foretold this.
It's a gun, it suppose to be triggering.
Does anyone have them, apparently out there but never seen any of his Patreon stuff to download

Gorgeus Manga Pages
The last chapter of TG:re , god damn it , look at this shit
>ishida
>not getting worse and worse after :re
>panels dont flow anymore
>fights are a nonsensical clusterfuck
>only the occasional nice drawing every now and then.
don't post about manga here again.
ishidas illustration game got better but all his manga skills have degraded in return.
>>2470698
I'm not particularly impressed. Looks like he's spamming the page with effects that serve little purpose other than to impress dolts like you.
The figures are nothing special, and that hand is pretty fucked up.
>clusterfuck of effects and nobackgrounds
Nice.
>A pair of eyes drawn constructively and in correct values will appear to be a live because of craftsmanship, not because of the artist's ability to read the sitters soul
>-Loomis
Is this true? How am I going to get girls to sleep with me because I am deep if I am little more than a glorified plumber.
>>2496861
yes, that is how it is.
it's all technique and knowledge.
as far as i know, the only things related to spirituality in art are motivation, satisfaction and subject matter.
>>2496861
it's all about perception
What is a good way to make a living doing commissions?
>>2493853
Why does all art degrade and dehumanize women to sex objects?

men too!?
What art program does everyone use here?
GIMP, the best out there.
Krita and sometimes good old photoshop
Photoshop is the industry standard and LITERALLY the only tool you will need, I'm tired of these threads.
I draw consciously since 2005.
I learn French and Japanese since December 2015.
Currently I am already able to have basic conversations in both languages.
But my drawing ability is a joke.
The key? I do daily language studies in a linear fashion.
I need a program. /ic/. I need to be told what to do everyday, until I start to like it.
I need easy-to-munch tasks, in order to grind my skill. No matter how long it takes, as long as the daily portions are small enough to handle.
Can we discuss about creating a study program or something of the sort? Have any of you ever set clear-cut daily goals and stuck to it?
>>2496550
This is my schedule right now.
If youre only doing easy bite-sized tasks then you will barely improve unless you are a beginner.
>>2496555
Worse than a beginner, I'm a seasoned neverachiever, full of vices in need to be broken down and rebuilt.
And even if bite-sized doesn't provide everything I need, it certainly does more than 10 years of random energy spikes.
>>2496563
This is the best tip i can give you
You need to stop relying on motivation.
Motivation is a cheap plastic korean knockoff of discipline that will break after 10 minutes of playing with it.
If you don't have the discipline to force yourself to practice then you don't really deserve to get good. If you're searching for structure, might i recommend reading the sticky?
>start to take art seriously
>have done nothing but reference my entire life
>anytime imaginative drawing was attempted I lost confidence
>tfw I feel like I've been lying to myself about being able to draw
Pls help, guys. I know this is a plebian post but I just don't know what to do. I see people talk about how amazing it is to let their mind bleed through their pen n' shit and I just want that so bad.
>>2494329
same here drawing some shit several day year, but still can't draw any thing without references but even worse thing is i can only do a study
If you don't have a solid visual library, drawing without a reference is really hard.
how do I avoid becoming like OP? I'm still learning from references but i'm not where I want to be yet
Why is this shit so depressing
>learning to draw
>try loomis
>looks like shit
>2 months of fucking circle faces
>still looks like shit
> look back at first attempts
>no improvement
Honestly this is pissing my the fuck off! I should have had some improvement by now but there is none. I can't even enjoy trying to draw anymore ether because it all looks like fucking shit an epileptic 3 year old with adhd having a seizure from drinking a case of redbull drew
>>2497544
you're not gonna make it
>>2497544
2 months? My loomis shit looked like shit for ten years before it started to click yet I didn't give up. Fuck off casual.
>2 months of fucking circle faces
There's your problem
Why is art so fulfilling? I find it difficult to relate with non-artist normies who spend their time consuming tv and videogames all day instead of creating.
Even if art doesn't get me anywhere just being able to put my world and creation on paper feels amazing, I guess i can connect with writers because they have a similar dream
>>2487299
I feel the exact way. I think a lot of people don't know how to teach themselves things and when they reach that stage as a kid where you realize your drawings are childish they don't know how to get any better and then passive consumption of media becomes attractive because it's easy and addictive
>>2487299
Non-artist normies don't all spend their time consuming TV and videogames. There are many ways to create or simply feel fulfilled.
>>2487299
>I find it difficult to relate with non-artist normies who spend their time consuming tv and videogames all day instead of creating.

Is he a hack?

Your thread is a hack.

I'm honestly asking
Is that tangled? She's my waifu
>artists who are clearly tracing off another artist
>the tracers still get regular commissions
Can someone please explain this to me? Do this people paying have no idea they are clearly tracing? I'm so confused.
Maybe the commissioner just care about getting a drawing they're satisfied with. I like chocolate, but I don't care if it's fairtrade or not. My goal is to have chocolate that tastes good to me. If someone makes money by tracing other people's shit, good for them. Apparently they found a place in the market the original artist didn't bother to fill.
Try explaining to a normie what tracing means and why it's bad.
That's why.
>>2499583
>drawing over someone else's work
>it means you don't have to put any effort into making the shapes look like a person
It's not a difficult concept anon. Most normies would have done tracing of their own back when they were 5
Anyone here studying to be a medical illustrator?
I have an associate's in art, and I'm almost done with a bachelor's in kinesiology.
I checked this out before, but dropped it for whatever reason, but now it's even more so attractive.
My skills are kinda shit. The only type of practice I've been getting since I finished my AA is doodling in the margins of my notes. I've gotten compliments on the doodles, but I havent tested myself much with depth, color and proportion.
The schools for MI are very competitive, they only allow about 16 people in a year... and I've seen some examples of grad work, they're pretty amazing and I feel like I could work my way up to that level with enough time.
They have you make a portfolio of about 20 pieces. From figure drawing to still life. I've got nothing.
I'm thinking of working on that while I finish up my last semester and get some hospital work afterward for funds.
So far I've been seeing a trend of accepted students studying at an art school for a year, Atelier's were mentioned. Anyone have any experience in that?
>>2498529
Intuition says that they'll be looking at your Skills at copying.
I have no credibility but it seems like the program will he admitting you on academic record and skills at copying things.
Bassicly, they want someone who shows intelligence and shows the potential of becoming a human photocopier.
Don't focus on anything you're not great at already. If you've only got a limited skill set work with that skill set and make 20 pieces. Don't show off anything you can't do well. They're looking for your potential to be virtuosic, not your virtuosity.
>>2498535
You seem confident for having no credibility, but it sounds like good advice.
From what I've seen, average admitted GPA is 3.78, which is pretty high compared to other medical area grad school GPAs, so you might be right that they focus on academics a bit more than set rendering experience.
Don't they mostly use 3D for this nowadays?
Drawing medical illustrations by hand seems awfully retro to me and I would be deebly gonserned of it being a dead end career.
Hey, I am not sure that its a good section for this thread, tell me if its not. I am looking for good animations, something like link below:

Why is everyone's head chopped off?
I needed something to turn in for my art class final so I did this in about 30 min. It's my cat. Could I pass it off as an impressionistic piece or does it look like shit?
>inb4 underage a&
I'm 18.
I'll delete this thread after a few responses as to not damage the integrity of this board.
It just looks like shit.
