I need to take a video and cut it up into clips of every word said. example: if the man said "Hi how are you" I would then have 4 clips each one with just one word in it. I was hoping to find a program or programs to help do this

Use word detection libraries for some programming language. Probably a bunch of shit for Python, then when a word is detected add the time it starts and ends into an array and use ffmpeg to cut accordingly.

Lazy as fuck approach, but it will be nice and easy for you, op. Fucking homo.

Hey /g/,

Just got a new computer today, has Ryzen in it. I was wondering, Is the 20 degree temp offset still ringing true? Or has this been fixed?

My 1700x is showing 80c at full load clocked at 3.95Ghz 1.375v 1.200 SOC, with liquid cooling.

Doesn't make much sense to me unless the 20 degree offset is still in effect.

Thanks!

I saw this video on my recommendations on YouTube and to save my sanity i clicked on not interested and it shows me why it is recommended to me which surprised me and then next day again a shit ass song video like this was in my recommendation as usual i clicked on not interested and surprised me why it was recommended to me, is youtube's algorithm for recommendations this shitty that it shows me completely unrelated video or is it trying to boost the views of those youtubers because they have millions of subscribers which will benefit YouTube and youtubers if you think Google is creating a automated botnet then that botnet is dumb as fuck and can't do shit

Is this browser a meme?

Seems to have quite a few bugs and the built in adblock seems to be a pretty average implementation (ive had a few ads get through)

I feel like going back to firefox. It seems to be the only option for me.

will YouTube ever realisticly be replaced by a decentralized video sharing site? is such a site even possible to pull off, where the users pretty much seed the website they visit?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>61811637
It's possible but highly unlikely to be adopted as a standard. GNUnet tries to do something like that. The closest thing we have to decentralized net is torrenting and media is all against it. (((They))) will discourage everyone from using decentralized networks because "cp, gore, drugs..." because it would be the same as tor, impossible for the government and ISPs to regulate.
Plus the internet speeds and bandwidth limits are getting worsened everywhere now because "why would normies need more than 10mbps and suffocate the net".
>>
>users seed the website they visit
turning your laptop into cache server with opened port is not realistic model
>decentralized video sharing
IPFS is really good at big files sharing and it's not hard to make gateway with JS video player so visitors don't need to install anything. Or good old torrent. Technologies are here already.
>replace YouTube
Maybe alternative for people who don't want to make money by it. Advertisers need statistics and decentralized model can't provide this. Users want the website to show them what to watch.

I have a question and I want to see if you guys can help me, so pic related is the router I use for my wifi and the cunt I currently live with thinks it's a good idea to completely disconnect the whole router and hide it so I have no internet access.

Is there a way to connect a second router somewhere in my house so that if router #1 is disconnect and removed, I'll still able to have internet access? If so, how do I do it or send me a link on how to it by myself.

What does /g/ think about Google Images' new layout? Personally I hate it. Why would I only want to use this small ass bit of screenspace in the middle of my screen? What were they thinking while implementing this?

Yes.

/g/, i need a secrit gaming computer, or standard prebuilt computers for the masses that were actually decent (dedicated graphics, etc.).
For instance, I had an HP P6 series given to me a few years back that could run New Vegas on high that you can find for around 90 or so dollars now but it pooped out on me. Any other suggestions like that?
pic very unrelated.

Just build a Sleeper build if you want it to be discreet gaming PC. If you want a cheap PC that does decent gaming, your best bet is asking on >>>/g/csg or looking up shit on Ebay and Craigslist during end of school semesters, when thousands of shitheads screech at their mommies after they fail school

When will we start seeing "assistant bots"?

My idea of an "assistant bot" is this: robots that work for you!

They take out your trash, clean your room, shop for groceries, prepare your bath, change the oil of your car, cook your food, and they even charge themselves on a wall when on low battery. They perform self maintenance and have sensors that detect any internal problems, so you don't need to perform maintenance, they do it themselves. They could be powered by fuel, batteries or even solar when technology becomes efficient enough. I think this is perfectly possible. There already are robots that can do these tasks separately, albeit with low quality. For example, the Japanese showcased a robot that can fry pancakes on a tech event recently, and then there is Asimo, the nurse bot. All it takes is put everything into one robot and increase the quality at which the tasks are performed. Deeper into the future, instead of a Wall-E like robot, we'll start seeing anthropomorphic robots, they could look like your favorite character and also have a sex function, be programmed to act like a partner, etc. But the main idea for now is a midget robot that can perform all the main chores of a household with great dexterity.

I was thinking, what would it take to create such robot? What kind of processing power? Would machine learning play a role? I think it's easy to program a robot to cook, understand basic voice commands, but it would be very costly to put everything together. Why don't we live in a society where everyone owns a robot assistant yet?

Sometimes I like to fantasize about getting rich from Bitcoin, and, with that money, I move to Japan on an investor visa and start a successful robot company that quickly grows and takes over the world. I get rich, buy a nice house and great cars, and make the world a better place.

Anyway. Post what you think about this shit.

Go watch the DARPA robot challenge and you'll see that we still have a long way to go to get these all-in-all helper robots.
