Is it possible to make a phone with android running on ramdisk, like 8gb ram and when the phone needs to reboot the whole system gets copied to emmc memory. Wouldn't the phone be much faster?

Pic unrelated

This makes the phone take forever to power off, and if it freezes or reboots itself, everything's gone
>>
>>55807229
I think what you are calling a problem, OP may be calling it a feature, non persistance may be OPs goal.

The only advantage I see from this is privacy, in the event of having the phone probed for data there would be no data there to recover.

Welcome to /fglt/ - Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.
Users of all levels are welcome to ask questions about GNU/Linux and share their experiences.

*** Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread. ***

Before asking for help, please check our list of resources[*].

If you would like to try out GNU/Linux you can do one of the following:
0) Install a GNU/Linux distribution of your choice in a Virtual Machine using VirtualBox or other software made for this puporse for safety purposes.
1) Use the Live ISO (if your distribution of choice has one) to boot directly into the GNU/Linux distribution without installing anything, that way, you can get to experience the GNU/Linux operating system without installing it.
2) Dual boot the GNU/Linux distribution of your choice along with Windows or macOS, this is recommended if you want to know more about the GNU/Linux operating system.
3) Go balls deep and replace everything with GNU/Linux.

Yes, it is.
Logs don't tell me anything out of the ordinary. Executing i3bar --bar_id etc.

Running i3bar from terminal displays it though. Seems to me i3 doesn't want to start it for some reason, or it starts and finishes for some reason.

Fresh off the boat, from reddit, kid? heh I remember when I was just like you. Braindead. Lemme give you a tip so you can make it in this cyber sanctuary: never make jokes like that. You got no reputation here, you got no name, you got jackshit here. It's survival of the fittest and you ain't gonna survive long on 4chan by saying stupid jokes that your little hugbox cuntsucking reddit friends would upboat. None of that here. You don't upboat. You don't downboat. This ain't reddit, kid. This is 4chan. We have REAL intellectual discussion, something I don't think you're all that familiar with. You don't like it, you can hit the bricks on over to imgur, you daily show watching son of a bitch. I hope you don't tho. I hope you stay here and learn our ways. Things are different here, unlike any other place that the light of internet pop culture reaches. You can be anything here. Me ? heh, I'm a judge.. this place.... this place has a lot to offer... heh you'll see, kid . . . that is if you can handle it.

Alright /g/ I need some help.
Earlier today my PS3 hard drive suddenly stopped working. Yesterday it was fine, but I come home from work today and all the games that are on it aren't there. I look at the system data and it's reading from flash memory and not the hard drive. It isn't corrupt (at least I don't think), it isn't showing at ALL. Whenever I take it out and put it back in, it makes this weird buzzing sound 5 or 6 times then stops, and it shows no sign that it attempted to read it. What do I do to fix it? I don't wanna lose all the data on there, and I'm too poor to buy a new one.

In Haskell, when you enter just T by itself, you are soliciting the user for input. It's the equivalent of keyboard.nextLine() in Java. R will give you a random number based on what you typed.

If you want GB to ship your items faster, open a ticket telling them you decided not to buy it and ask for a refund. They'll respond with this and go out of their way to ship it before the 2-3 days are up so they can reply "sorry, we already shipped it out, you can't get a refund :)"

You can use their chinking to help you.
>>
>>55805303
This is correct. I recently had a eBay order I canceled 4 minutes after ordering it. Chinks came back and said it already shipped it.

Bought a cheap strip of USB powered RGB LED's I wanted for my PC a few weeks ago and just got them today. Top right is what was pictured in the ad and bottom right is what I actually got. Not the exact same (the controller is slightly different) but they work well enough, I'm happy.
