>>55810488
Thats the steam library page though
>>55810505
Still fuck off. Still use Startpage.
hey /g/, what do you guys think about small form factor GPUs?
The price difference seems quite nice but do they really sound like hairdryers because the single fan?
>>55810430
They're cute. I'd buy one if I wasn't poor
They're cute. Best used for those really mini builds where space is at a premium.
>>55810430
They're cute, great for a portable desktop
windows 10 wont let me revert back to 8.1 anymore

i think it gives you the option to keep the files or delete them
Do you still have cable television? If not, do you ever miss it?
No
Not one bit. I'm never going back to paying $35/mo. just to spend 25 minutes of an hour watching ads.
Nope. I've never had OTA, cable, or satellite myself. Never needed it. Learned to pirate at 15, when you got your animu in 90 MB .rm or .rmvb files, because fuck framerate, it's nice to be able to read your subtitles.
Closest I've ever come to broadcast is YouTube (for ads, before getting Red), Netflix, or Crunchyroll.
>>55810283
I don't miss it because I never had it growing up
>>55810482
>when you got your animu in 90 MB .rm or .rmvb files, because fuck framerate
I remember grabbing Sailor Moon episodes off WinMX in like 2003 and converting them to .rmvb so I could fit the whole series on my 120GB hard drive
What (would) /g/entooman do to protect their content from pirates? Vidya, animeme, professional software etc. Doesn't matter. How to protect my content? Creative ways. I was thinking something like torrenting my own broken version.
make something worth paying for
Use an optional-pay method.
If they're gonna pirate it and get it for free, they might as well get it right from me so I can get usage statistics and shit I can give to advertisers or publishers or whatever.
>>55810278
>What (would) /g/entooman do to protect their content from pirates?
Wrong place matey. Here we believe in free software.
Fuck off
Im going ahead an uninstalling windows and installing gentoo as my primary os.
Ive never done an install like this before. Only on a flash drive. Should i go with the minimal install?
Thanks
If you fell for the gentoo meme then you deserve no help
It's like tying another man's noose for him
>>55810201
If you haven't used Linux before, don't do it.
Gentoo shouldn't be your primary choice if you need to ask a question here.
I have an old HP laptop that I use to run Gentoo, just so I could say I run gentoo. It's rewarding to fiddle with it, but it's also a nightmare sometimes.
Why can't I connect two computers via usb?
>>55810106
Because USB wasn't built for networking. Networking requires certain protocols. You can buy a USB cable with a bridge and you can connect them that way.
>>55810106
You can, but you need a data-only cable and the proper software on each computer
>>55810106
Usually because the USB controllers in computers are both hosts and have no client functionality. If one of them did have client functionality, you could.
Do you dual boot? If so which OSes do you run, and are they on the same drive?
Yes
OS X El Capitan and Debian Stretch
Yes
Yes.
Windows 8.1 and Debian
Yes.
Yes
Win7 and Debian
Yes
Why is Vivaldi the best web browser?

If you use Marshmallow's option to format an SD card is extra internal storage, and that SD card fails for whatever reason, what happens then? Is your phone fucked (I doubt it, somehow) or do you just lose some data and everything's fine otherwise?
I would assume that Google would be smart enough to keep the OS itself strictly on the internal storage. So nothing CATASTROPHIC would happen. I just want to see if anybody knows for sure, though, or has had it happen to them.
I'm running adoptive storage if you pull it out some apps stop working and there's some errors but its mostly that and all the photos and shit stored goes as well til you put the card back in and reboot
>>55810112
Nice
So basically if your SD card gets fucked for whatever reason (age, damage) you just put a new one in, factory reset, and you're good?
>>55809872
It works exactly the same as it did before, it just hides the different storage mediums from you.
The OS and apps will still run from internal storage by default, and apps that explicitly consider themselves able to run off external storage, or apps that create large amounts of data that can go on external storage like the camera, will store their data on the sd card
will a 750 w PSU be enough for SLI gtx 580s?
>>55809860
It ought to be enough. Which CPU? How many fans? How many drives?
Yes, but only barely. Those 580s are power sucking housefires
But really you shouldn't bother- SLI 580s are outperformed by a $200 card nowadays.
Whats so great about OOP? Why is it becoming the norm for Programming?
OOP is dying in favor of functional programming
>>55809833
>becoming
It has already been the norm for ages.
VirtualBox vs VMware
VMware with a KO on the first swing
>>55809857
What makes VMware better? I need a virtual machine to be able to tests links and shit and wanted the best one.
>>55809901
VirtualBox is pretty much free-of-charge so you can do basic shit in it.
VMWare is an enterprise solution with a heck of a lot of capabilities.
Do your own research, OP!
