Alright /g/ I need some help.
Earlier today my PS3 hard drive suddenly stopped working. Yesterday it was fine, but I come home from work today and all the games that are on it aren't there. I look at the system data and it's reading from flash memory and not the hard drive. It isn't corrupt (at least I don't think), it isn't showing at ALL. Whenever I take it out and put it back in, it makes this weird buzzing sound 5 or 6 times then stops, and it shows no sign that it attempted to read it. What do I do to fix it? I don't wanna lose all the data on there, and I'm too poor to buy a new one.
i knew where this was going 36 words in.
keep your unfunny memes in

What are you talking about? This isn't a "meme", it's serious

yeah yeah im gonna read all of this and get slapped with a 'ps3 has no gaems' punchline well it's not going to happen. be less obvious on the second line next time.
The PS3 takes 2.5" HDD's if I remember correctly, so just slap a new one in. Sucks for your saved games, but broken hardware happens.

See, the problem is I can't afford a new one. Not to mention, the hard drive has been working since Christmas last year

Ever heard of skimming? I don't use /v/ anyway, so I don't know the jokes on there
