Yeah. Unrelated to my needs anyways.

I've been trying to Activate 2-Way SLI on my PC but I cannot find any information regarding my particular hardware set up. I've been looking for 2 months now on google.

>2x BFG GTX 260 Graphics cards (I know, they're old)
>GA-Z170XP-SLI mobo
>Intel i6600k 3.5ghz CPU
>16gs DDR4 Ram
>EVGA NEX750G Power Supply
>Windows 10 64 bit

I hope this thread is appropriate here. I just cant figure this out. I'm just using these cards to hold me over until I get the $$$ for a GTX 970 or something. That's the whole reason I'm trying to get the SLI working.

Please any help would be appreciated

Pic related, it's the one I use.

I use the same one. Got it for free by complaining that they didn't send me the rubber outer case. Did you only get the thin plastic back too?

No, I got both. And it came in a really nice box and packaging

Need help with a diy project. All our locomotives have a event recorder on them that has a round 4 pin milspec port on it that we attach our laptop to thru the DB9 port. Is there a way I can install a gsm or gprs module to each event recorder and be able to download it from my home

What equipment are you using, specifically?

Newer EMD and GE units have this built in. Old stuff (GP38/40, etc) can't really be refitted, and are going to be retired sooner rather than later due to fuel efficiency requirements in the US and Canada.

We are just a short line RxR so we don't plan on getting rid of our units anytime soon plus we mostly do switching with them but we have them scattered hours away from each other so I'm trying to cut down on travel

What's an extreme lightweight browser on gnu?

I need something for my netbook, so far running Midori but something faster would be nice, don't need extensions but an adblocker.

As if high end GPUs weren't expensive enough, now you also need an i7 extreme CPU to go with them. Playing newest AAA games is ridiculously expensive if you want more than 60 FPS.

>>
>>55806232
First, >>>/v/. Second, i5s will do just fine, especially when devs will start using dx12/vulcan. Third, most of the AAA is garbage. I'd rather play indie garbage than that.

tell me about it, the next logical upgrade I want out of a monitor is 1440p/144hz/g|freesync but it'd easily end up being >£1.2k~ on just the gpu(s) and monitor alone

was considering going back to 1680x as my main panel as it's objectively better than my 1080p panel but then I remember all the awkwardness of trying to get 1680x in games and it puts me off

Why does anyone need such a flat panel? I'm still happy with my setup.
>pic related
>>
>>55806183

and before someone screams /v/, it's also far more awkward for tv and movies not to mention less ability to multitask on just one monitor requiring more awkward looking over to other monitors, is probably a lot better for tiling wms however now that I think about it

I'm on Windows 10. Google Chrome. I lost a bookmark folder with over 500 tabs and I really need to get them back. Is there any way I can retrieve them? I am desperate.

what is even the purpose of this?
it's literally worse than DInput in every part

>>55806073
I fucked your mom's DInput last night
>>
>>55806073
It's actually better in the sense that you don't need to configure anything.

It's bad points are:
- tailored to the xbox pads
- the directinput legacy compatibility is handled in an incredibly retarded way (the triggers are put on the same z-axes, cancelling each other if you press both).

I heard they fixed the last for the xbone pad driver with an update, but they botched that up too. Basically those individual z-axes should go from -127 to 128 with 0 being center, but they mapped them to -127 instead (so they go from 0 to 255). So games will just see them as -127 value being pressed all the time.

The worst problem is that there is no way to configure any of that shit.

It's why I'm using with morii drivers with my x360 pad ever since, and use x360ce for games that require xinput.
>>
>>55806073
No idea why industry thinks this is the standard. This fucking sucks in DInput. But the design is godly thou. Build quality, meh. I've seen better back in day but I didn't find any better in Turkey. BTW can /g/entooman tell me a good built gamepad?

what do you do to make you're computer faster or more efficient?

on windows i don't use antivirus (relying on things like noscript and ublock to keep malware away), when on linux i put /tmp and /var on the hdd instead of ssd to avoid writing unnecessarily to it, and i clean the computer every 6 months (gets dusty 2bh)

Repartition computers for senpai/friends with dedicated Windows/cache/data partitions.
Remap temp and internet cache folders.
Remap user folder to data partition.

Makes any HDD based system much easier to maintain and easier to service in the future as no backups or data recovery is needed. Reinstall Windows, reinstall programs, remap folders, done.
