When will this shit end? The U.S. has some of the worst internet quality among 1st world countries, and it seems like 9/10 ISPs give absolutely zero shits about caring for their customers.

so it's essentially a laptop that doesn't work unless you plug your phone into it? what would be the point of getting something like this instead of a normal laptop?
>>55867289
This. For $99 you can get a decent used thinkpad.
>>55867289
Price and having all files in one location (the phone)
If you can do all your work on your phone, why would you buy a laptop when you can get this?
Google first.
Pirates go to reddit.
My digital life is the place to crack windows, make a fucking account already.
If you just made a new PC, you need to plug your monitor into the graphics card, not the mobo.
So I'll get a Dell workstation t3600 with a e5-1650 xeon some non ECC RAM a non specified 425W psu etc.
Some anon said it probably will just have a 6-pin connector. Can I simply get a new psu and put any card in there?

Yes. Learn Scheme.

No, but it's the most Jewish.
I want to talk about data recovery.
I recently tried ddrescue; which, while reading through the documentation, seemed interesting enough to give it a try. But after completing the operation I was left with what seemed to be a clone of the failing drive copying over everything including the fucked up file system - making it worthless. I was curious if anyone has had success with ddrescue?
Now, PhotoRec did the job beautifully - it was almost too easy to use. But with that I'm left with another issue - how to automate the organization of all the file types? Some research is just giving me indexers which is useless for what I need, I can't hand a HDD to a client expecting them to sift through all the malware to find a jpeg of last Christmas.

# New & Revised /dpt/ Code of Conduct #
We want to ensure that the /dpt/ community, while large and diverse, remains
welcoming and respectful to all participants. To that end, we have a few
ground rules that we ask people to adhere to.
- *Be friendly and patient.*
- *Be welcoming.* We strive to be a community that welcomes and supports
people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited
to members of any race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, colour,
immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, sex,
sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family
status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.
- *Be respectful.* Not all of us will agree all the time, but disagreement
is no excuse for poor behavior and poor manners. We might all experience
some frustration now and then, but we cannot allow that frustration to turn
into a personal attack. It’s important to remember that a community where
people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive one. Members of
the /dpt/ community should be respectful when dealing with other members as
well as with people outside the /dpt/ community.
- *When we disagree, try to understand why.* Disagreements, both social and
technical, happen all the time and /dpt/ is no exception. It is important
that we resolve disagreements and differing views constructively. Remember
that we’re different. The strength of /dpt/ comes from its varied community,
people from a wide range of backgrounds. Different people have different
perspectives on issues. Being unable to understand why someone holds a
viewpoint doesn’t mean that they’re wrong. Don’t forget that it is human to
err and blaming each other doesn’t get us anywhere. Instead, focus on
helping to resolve issues and learning from mistakes.

So in 2011 when I was still an underage b&, my family got me a mid range gaming desktop. The thing is, it barely plays games of today on medium settings and I want to upgrade it.
My specs are:
Pentium G620 2.6Ghz
Radeon HD 5670 1GB DDR3
4GB DDR3 RAM
I want to upgrade it to 8GB of DDR5 RAM and possibly a graphics card like the 480. Has to be below 400 euros though. Is the 480 the best bang for my buck or can I get a better graphics card that plays current games on at least high settings?
Thanks senpai.

Your best bet is probably to find the cheapest ivy bridge processor you can find and spend the rest of your budget on the best GPU you can get.
The reason for this is you didn't tell us what your MOBO is, but it obviously supports an LGA 1155 socket.
I'm an amd guy but from what I understand the last line of chips that fit that socket were Ivy Bridge, so get it as cheap as you can cause it's already obsolete technology.
If you go this route make sure your PSU can handle the increased demand on power.
Honestly though, your best bet is to build a new pc from scratch and OC the shit out of it. You can save money cause you already got 4gb ram, a case, and some kind of PSU that's proven itself reliable.
If you're going simply for the most power and price you get probably an fx 6300 and a GTX 950-60 or r7 370 and a Gigabyte AMD Motherboard GA-970A-UD3P.
Another option is to run a few older Amd HD cards on crossfire, it's what i do and I get pretty phenomenal results with hardly any problems. But your PSU probably won't support that.
There are people on this very board, who do not use Legacy Captcha...
I like this one more because it doesn't require me to run non-free JavaScript :^)
>>55866205
I switched to it a month or so ago, before when I switched to legacy I would get these like 15 letter words that were intelligible so you spend like 2 minutes trying to fill in a single fucking form.
Not it's the usual addresses though.
I use it because the photo captcha fucks up half the time.

Any idea if there will be a successor to the first 1080p Yi cam? Cause the new 4K Yi is quite expensive, and I'm trying to decide if I should just buy the 1080p one now, or wait till a successor comes around at the same price point.
