This is an unusual way to do multi line comments, actually you are creating a docstring here wich floats through nirvana, timeless, like an unborn child..

Are you tired of using your M$/Google so called "browsers" that are really botnets ?
Oh, you're using Mozilla, Opera ? That's cute.
Enter Brave. The new groundbreaking browser than runs on Bitcoin and solves the ad problems forever, while rewarding websites
It was created by Brendan Eich. You know, just the guy who invented the programming language of the Internet, Javascript. Nothing special you know, just the language that runs every single website on the Internet...
I'll just leave this here for you plebs:

What's the best software development cycle
Use a piece of paper to draw boxes and arrows
Write something that works
Clean it up, then add and improve.
Rinse and repeat. Common mistakes include adding too many features before you get something to work, or spending too long doing the pen and paper and writing an autistic ASM engine for ten years.

What kind of home server hardware does /g/'s poorfags run?
For a while, I've always just used whatever old laptop is still kicking. Currently on an Acer netbook from 2009 running Debian. It's been shutting down due to heat though so I'm thinking of grabbing a second hand i5 or Xeon.
I don't know what use home server for
>>55865631
I've inherited an old HP server (2010-ish) from work
It's a pretty massive 4u dual Xeon system that makes a fuckton of noise so I can't really use it until I buy a decent rack and clean out my cupboard
Can list specs if anyone is interested. Going to use it as a test bed for my RHCSA/RHCE certs and when I'm done with that, as a media server.
>>55865631 Cheapest orange pi. It runs pihole, openvpn over shadowsocks and tor.
Hello, /g/. I'm a programmer currently unemploeyd. I need to make some money on-line, can you point me any good websites to do some freelance jobs? The less burocracy the better. I just want to get some stuff to do right away and make some money. No need to be much money, just to buy some food.

buying a new one is a bad idea
but if you can pick up a used asus or lenovo with an 850/860m and 4th gen i7 for around 500-600, I'd say its a decent deal
good for gayman at college, being a fat fuck on the couch, or if you have friends
good gaming laptop is also a good editing/cad laptop if you want to be productive

what is m-itx?
I've been looking at 480's availability for some time, but living in a warm country where electricity costs an arm and a leg, and while deciding, I thought of a different approach: how about grabbing an used 390 or 390x for cheap and try my luck at the silicon lottery for undervolting?
How much luck have you guys had with yours? I've seen some reports of good chips dropping almost 100w and -10c while still running stable, plus it's not the first time I'd be undervolting amd products, so I'm not exactly going in blind.
there's never any point in getting a product from a previous chipset line. get a lower end card in a current chipset line. the only thing top of the line gpus are good for is wasting money and dying prematurely.
buy nvidia instead

Can we talk about e-readers? Someone in my family recently bought a kindle and had me set it up and I got to spend a bit of time with it. Now I want my own.
>dat high contrast display
>dat god-tier battery life
>can have an entire book library in a device a little bigger than a modern smartphone
I've read that the Kindles are pretty locked down. Are there any e-readers that /g/ recommends? Like what's the T420 of e-readers? Post any thoughts or information about e-readers. This is new to me.
you can jailbreak it
>>55865249
I have a Kindle keyboard and I really like it. When it breaks, I will probably buy another Kindle.
Any e-ink tablet with lagdroid works fine, preferably with wifi and without google play. I got mine for ~$80, no regrets. Lack of a book store doesn't matter, you can connect to wifi and download any books from any freedom-respecting online libraries. It also won't silently delete your books without warning like the Kindle does.

Note series had this for almost 5 years now, and even on a 5.5" screen there's still little point in doing any multitasking. Usually it's just youtube and something else that people run with it, and that's because they're too dumb to install xposed or just don't have root.
>notification shade was also redesigned, featuring a smaller row of icons for settings, replacing notification cards with a "sheet" design, and allowing inline replies to notifications
Doesn't CM have this since like 11?
>"Doze" power saving mechanism introduced in Marshmallow was expanded to include a state activated when the device is running on battery and the screen has been off for a period of time
Isn't that what Doze does anyway? When it senses that the device hasn't been used for an X amount of minutes it goes into a super power save mode? Either way, if they made it work better, that's neat I guess.
>new "Data Saver" mode restricts background mobile data usage, and can trigger internal functions in apps that are designed to reduce bandwidth usage
...Okay, I guess? If you don't have unlimited data then I guess that's neat, but most people who own a $600 smartphone have it on a plan that supports unlimited data. Others just use it sparingly by not streaming youtube and shit.
