Is it a stupid idea to get a i7-4790k now over a 6700k? It's only about $60 cheaper but I would also save up on RAM, as I already own DDR3 memory and motherboards just seem cheaper on the older architecture.
>>56311137
Why are people asking retarded questions like that? I don't fucking get you guys.

one of the loudest, least efficient on the market
it's louder and hotter and requires more electricity than the reference design
additionally, it looks fucktarded and is clearly too heavy for a single pci lane support and is triple slot
purchasing this product is proof that you have no idea what value is

>staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before
>staff may pretend to be normal users asking for invites and when you invite them, they ban you for inviting strangers
>sneaky bastards will try to convince you into believing that cheating can be evaded, it can't and you will be banned with those bastards laughing at you

Not an audio fag at all BUT
XLR
Shit it rock solid
All the rest is flimsy junk
>>56310798
Favorite?
Definitely XLR. They can withstand an ungodly amount of abuse. Also, rebuilding the ends on the cable can be done easily and for free.

How do you feel about this?
It's supposedly so precise in motion, it can assemble iPhones from start to finish.
Foxconn is selling its robots to other (mostly Chinese) manufacturers, and they're buying them at the a rate of 20,000/yr.
The U.S. has only 26,000 in total.
they absolutely must not adapt these
just think of the poor workers
what will they do after suicide net installation is no longer in demand?
Any reason why Apple can't buy these and open a US plant?

Electricity is subsidized in China.
Thinking about pulling the trigger and getting a Chromebook purely for my own amusement.
Are they worth it?
I've read you can install Linux on them. How easy it to restore the Chrome OS if I decide I want to switch back?
>>56310556
They're good for a laff, but then the feeling wears off rather quickly. You could use crosh for linux, which would let you use a full de until you restarted or the battery died. If you want full linux on your chromebook, I would suggest backing up you bios firmware and such, because as soon as that gets removed, chrome os will refuse to install
How's the build quality? The ones I've seen in stores seem pretty solid with good hinges and okay keyboards.

How tinkery is Gentoo?
>Tfw thought Gentoo was a meme.
>Tfw was sold within 5 minutes of playing with it in a VM.
So I fell for the Arch meme and I'm tired of having to screw with my entire system to do things.
I'm also starting university soon, so I don't want to have to worry about my system freaking out.
So I'm wondering how stable Gentoo is, and if its usable in a university environment (Computer Engineering), whilst also running Windows 10 in a VM for proprietary software.
Though both arch and gentoo are fun to fuck around with, they don't really work. You should seriously decide to go with some of the more mainstream distros like (x)Ubuntu or something like that. They are alot more stable and there is a reason most people use them.
It's basically like this
>>56310676
That's true. I used xubuntu in a VM for a while.
It seemed to work flawlessly. Really lightweight too.
Thanks.
