I like how you didn't even start with one
Anyone else having this problem? It works ok in Chrome, but Chromium shows playback icons this way.
This started today.
looks fine to me

Works on my machine.

That's how it's supposed to look
Any official source on these comics? Googling brings up nothing relevant.

>>56317123
There's nothing official about it. Pic related was the original, as far as I know, but it was a one-off. The rest are random anons riffing on the concept. I saw some (not the original) in a /g/ humor thread and I liked the idea, so I started a thread and made a bunch of them, with other anons contributing as well. I think most of them are from that thread.

>buy intel
>installed huge heatsink correctly
>75C on load
>heatsink is slightly warm to touch
why people are defending this company again?
I don't think you did it correctly
>>56316966

>>56316992
why are you defending intel?
Why does /g/ hate BSD?
linux is for friendly autists
freebsd is for the annoying turbo autists who make a lot of noise
>>56316933
We don't hate 'em braa, just do your thing and stop ragging on us. Let's help each other out is all I am saying
GNU/+Linux and BSD should unite together and destroy Windows and Macfags.
Hey /g/
I have 3 courses left to finish my electrical engineering degree and I'm fucking PISSED on how little I know
The labs in most of my classes were meme tier. We never implemented interesting circuits, jut the usual the-theory-works meme circuits and sometimes the labs were computer simulations. We never had to use a solder gun, we never implemented an oscillator circuit, never used IC's, no DC-DC converter circuits, no PD/PI/PID controllers implemented , EVEN THE FUCKING FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER WAS PREASSEMBLED IN A BOX and so on.
So I decided to start making my own projects and practicing by myself, so any tips for a beginner? What equipement should I get? Do I really need an oscilloscope? And what are some fun projects to do? Best website to buy components from?
Pls no arduino centered projects, most arduino projects are apple-tier.
I feel like digital electrical engineering is just boring plug-and-play shit.
Make some neat guitar pedals.

Given that the majority of youngsters today are extremely happy to do nothing for their degree, I congratulate you on your thirst for knowledge and experience. Keep it up, and you will go far... or at least, much further than the children who only care about playing Pokeman.

>Best website to buy components from?
Can someone international help? I only know places like:
http://www.online-components.com.my/
and
http://www.qqtrading.com.my/
But they are local.
>Lenovo Yoga 710
Will this be a mistake?
>>56316907
Yes
not sure. they're really good laptops but i see reports of them dying and no support from lenovo
i have the yoga 2 pro it's a zippy little thing after you follow several fixes but i fear for the future
I like the idea of having both a laptop and tablet into one, which is why I prefer this over getting a used old lenovo. That and this is only like $360 at Bestbuy right now.
nekochan.net -- for the SGI and UNIX autists
vogons.org -- retro PC autists
amiga.org -- obscure computer autists
There's probably more, list them if you know any. And discuss what you hate about them. Nekochan is the worst offender imho.

How often can I scrape craigslist before they ip ban me? Every 10 minutes?
>scrape craiglist Every 10 minutes
What is it with you homos and your weird terms for gay activities?
>>56316861
Scraping every post? Or just the index pages?
Just limit yourself to a request every few seconds and you'll be fine.
>>56316901
Yeah what the fuck does that mean
Nvidia has no Hardware support for Async.
>prove me wrong
>>56316826
Why do people in this site post a fucking sentence followed by the words "prove me wrong" and expect someone to argue with them?
>>56316913
The smug satisfaction of being "right" about something.
The trick is, of course, to structure your statement in a manner that is incredibly difficult to argue against, even if doing so is disingenuous.
For example,
>Nvidia has no support for Async.
vs
>Nvidia has no Hardware support for Async.
Where one is debatable and the other is undisputed fact, the OP will pretend the latter means the former.
>>56316913
Because it works. It's provocative.
Hey dudes, How is this build? My price range is like 700-1000USD and just wondering if this would be good. Switching from a shitty laptop that ive had for years and hopefully ill be able to run everything on Max. Thanks guys
build is perfect. good choice with the straw

Have my first tech interview with Google coming up. I'm just a lowly web dev who programs in C++ for hobby stuff. How fucked am I?

This thread is about the appreciation of watches, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that is required to make a fine watch.

Really don't want the same Seiko and Timex that everyone else has, though. Just looking for alternatives.
First for high end horological machines.

posting image again. I really like the look of this. I guess it's called 'pilot' or 'aviation' style?
I haven't found anything with the seconds as a complication like this one. The orient wingman isn't bad, but doesn't look as nice as this one IMO.
I'm open to alternative suggestions, but for $99 this doesn't seem too bad. I can't find any hate for the brand online.
