Weak, very weak.
Come you fucks.
I was thinking about replacing my phone + tablet for a phablet. Is a 5.5" screen sufficiently comfy to relax with and watch anime on?
I used to watch films on the galaxy s2
yes 5.5 is good enough for anime. You just have to adapt to it mentally.
source: typing on a 5.5 inch phablet.
It's do-able, some fansubs can be a pain sometime if they use a shitty font but horriblesubs is fine.
No, handheld devices are not for comfy, they are for commute. For comfy use your tv or monitor.
source: I have Note 3, Note Pro and Helix.
Uptime thread. How long have you been up /g/?

Are Ubiquiti UniFi 802.11ac access points meme or actually as good as people say they are?
Does it really solve 99% of dead zone or dropped connection problem _AND_ give you a hand job whenever you ask?
They really are good and can solve a lot of connection priblems, but they obviously can't magically solve all problems. PS: they don't give handjobs
>>56319926
The more nodes you add the slower the connection will be.
Wifi being only half duplex is why it sucks. If you could tz and ex on different frequencies simultaneously you would have more speed than you would know what to do with.

Ok so I've tried Ubuntu, decided to switch to arch, got tired of configuring stuff but like the idea of rolling release, switched to Manjaro but Manjaro is giving me some issues and also I have issues installing some packages which forces me to go googling for shit instead of starting to do what I want to do.
Ok, so should I go back to Ubuntu or is there something else I should try?
Install Gentoo

What does /g/ think of Swift?
Particularly in comparison with Obj-C.
Personally I think it's a better language overall, but I have met people who absolutely hate it for whatever reason.
>>56319806

Apple keeps changing the API in between versions.
That makes it feel somewhat incomplete and not well thought out.
If it was complete and well thought out, they wouldn't have to make drastic, non-backwards compatible changes to it all the time.
Yeah, oh course the language is much more comfy than obj-c. That language is just awful.

objective c is cool :(
Since I posted this to /sci/ and /t/ I thought I would post here as well. Pic related is in torrent below. Credits goes out to the anon that posted this on /sci/ a few months ago.

A version of wings3d written from scratch in C. No erlang or other such crap.
A new operating system in node.js
So what HDD brands does /g/ usually stick to?
I find Toshiba have some really nice price points but I'm not sure about the reliability.
>>56319697
Toshiba is the most reliable, second is HGST (Hitachi), WD are meh, Seagate the worst
>>56319697
Toshiba or Hitachi.
WD has good warranty and speeds, but they tend to start dying after a year of use.
Samsung is okay.
Seagate is the worst thing you can buy.
>>56319940
>>56320067
no WD has ever died on me. what exactly are you doing with your HDDs? you know you are not supposed to go on a trampoline with them right?
