Post your component list, rate other anons', ask questions in general.
Always state the purpose of your PC, your budget, AND YOUR COUNTRY if outside the USA. If you are asking for improvements, clarify whether you want to lower price, or improve specs or build quality.
If you see any other build advice or part list threads, please politely direct them here.

Any ideas on how to invest a spare $5k I've saved up? Something mechanical or electronic, preferably, but I'm open to just about anything legal if it's profitable.
Is there anything I can easily buy in bulk to resell individually (no drugs, lol)? Anything I can get cheap to repair and resell? I hate to have this money just sitting around not doing anything.
I've bought/repaired/resold laptops before, but they're so cheap these days that no one wants to buy used locally, and ebay fees/shipping kill any profit.
Sex robot
sell used condoms fampaitachi
Buy random shit in bulk from china, like knockoff vidya related stuff, and sell it on ebay for a profit.

they got a new order for chips from Qualcomm and Nvidia.
I think they'll be fine.
>>57004907
What does Nvidia make for Samsung phones? I thought it was all Qualcomm or in house chips.
I've been an android user for years and had a great experience with mainly Samsung and LG phones.
The new IPhone 7 plus however is very appealing in terms of hardware. I'm only concerned about the OS switch.
I'd like to hear the general opinion. Did anyone here do an OS switch? How was it? What did you prefer/disliked from the new OS
ALSO general android VS IOS thread.
I'd like to say something so that this thread keeps the conversation civil but I know that won't happen.

Android drools, iOS rules.

Hahahh care to elaborate? How should I simply respect the glorious apple?
>>57004913
Don't kid yourself. You fell the the designer meme. You're going to buy an iPhone despite it being locked down and overpriced.

In the case of having to erase information from a hard drive, it is effective try to destroy it in the microwave?
>>57004540
No hard drives have basically no water content.
Just smash the printed circuit and melt the platters with a blow torch.
destroy the disk in the middle, you can unscrew and break it, or if you're asking incase of being v8 like i assume you are (fucking pedo) drill works in a pinch

I see you use GNOME! You know, I'm actually on KDE myself
I'm a poorfag and saved up enough money to buy this. I have some questions before I buy it though.
Is this a good choice for gaming? I don't care about running new AAA games at 4K60FPS, just stuff like Skyrim and TF2 at 1080p with a reasonable framerate.
Am I getting a good deal for these parts? Jet.com offered me 30$ off my purchase with a coupon.
Did I pick out a good PSU? The 1060 requires a 400W power supply, and I only have a 300W. I just searched for a 500W one for around 30$.
Is the card going to fit in my computer? Size-wise it looks okay, but I don't know if i have the port for it on my motherboard.
I wouldn't recommend the base 1060 from EVGA, spend the extra 10 and get the SC version(much better cooler).
all you need is a PCIE slot and it will be fine. what computer/motherboard do you have.
>>57004506
>what computer/motherboard do you have.
He literally included Speccy screencap in the pic.
Just bought the pok3r. I was switching out the key caps and now none of my keys except the function keys work. So how do I get my keys to work again using commands with the function keys?
press the fn key
>>57004649
That only allows me to switch the layers, but nothing else.
read the manual and press the key combination that undoes what you've done
Will we see any new netbooks with updated Intel atoms or are we stuck with cherry trail and bay trail?
I don't know
>>57004363
Thanks
>>57004351
Hopefully. Bay trail was pretty good but I'd like something a tiny bit faster and/or more efficient without paying out the ass for it.
also better Linux support

>>57004262
Stop buying cheap shit
>buy a router
>see spec
You see, the next time you buy anything, that should go in this order:
>see spec
>buy a router if the specs are ok
>>57004262
>buy something
>then check out the specs
You deserve everything you got
