Pixel is a horrible option. No micro SD slot, no OIS, no removable battery, low res screen, small capacity battery.
Why would you consider it at all? Man just get the V20. I honestly think it's the best phone out there in terms of useful features.

I'm an independent contractor now and I enjoy it. I didn't mean to get here but wouldn't go back now that I have enough clients to keep me going. The worst part is marketing yourself which is going to be foreign territory for the average autist. But after that hurdle is jumped you pretty much just do simple to moderately complex jobs from the comfort of your own home. Just make sure you have professional support for your hardware and backups since there's no excuse for losing thousands because your shit book died at the wrong moment and the fag store is closed or you need to buy a part on ebay and have to wait a week for it to ship.

Hi /g/; currently, I'm trying to turn my old LG Optimus 2X running CM7 into a sort of barebones MP3/Spotify player. It's going well, but I'm trying to squeeze as much battery life from it as I can. I've frozen almost every app that isn't mandatory for the phone (including Google Play Services and Google Play), I've turned the brightness all the way down, turned off autosync, turned on airplane mode, and I've even undervolted it. Anything else I can do to save even more battery?

Oh, I had just factory resetted my phone. Besides, I needed the Play Store for a bit anyways to install some apps. Am I going to get a better battery life if I reinstal without installing GApps in the first place?

I think I'm doing databases wrong.
I have a pretty big Java project I'm working on and now that I'm at the part where I have to start storing shit in a sql database, my whole workflow got fucked up.
Do I actually have to create a fucking connection to the database, create a prepared statement, interpret the resultset, close the resultset, close the prepared statement, close the connection every time want to do anything with the database?
I want to keep my Model stuff separated from my Database stuff so do I really have to make a separate database class for every Model class, painstakingly explaining how to convert this Java object into it's relational parts in the database and the other way around?
Not even to start about all the stuff I have to think about when I want to make a small change to some object and have to change a gazillion things in relationship tables.
How do people do this shit? Am I missing something? I'm lost.
