I would recommend Tux Racer, few people have beaten the campaign on expert.
Another suggestion would be Neverball/Neveputt. Only diehard fans will beat the Nevermania levels, I've personally only beaten Tour De'force, I've still got to work on Retour

144hz is a meme because most games these days that are good and aren't FPS games have their physics tied to the framerate, and modern ports have stuttering issues once they go above 75hz if it's again not an FPS or an old MMO.
Go for 1440p, since you most likely aren't playing CS:GO competitively.

It's still version 0.x and sometimes has stability issues. I think its default config is actually better than TC's. Support for Total Commander plugins (on Windows) is incomplete.

Perhaps not the overnight success some believed, it’s fair to say VR platforms have been struggling. Growth of VR is at a virtual standstill according to metrics reported by Steam's Hardware Survey for October. Steam shows that in October, HTC's Vive went from 0.19% percent usage share to 0.20% percent, a minuscule rise of 0.01 percentage points. Similarly, the Oculus Rift went from 0.09% to 0.10%. In total, VR gained 0.02% for the whole month.
