i have to do matrix multiplications in python. the program should ask for the first three numbers, then the list numbers. heres my question: how do i limit my list so that it can stop printing and go down once it prints out x amount of numbers?
Go down? With a Python? They teach you this in school?
>>57340133

>printf newline!
get yourself into that python api Anon! you can do it! I believe in you!
>>57341563

Alright, without becoming a shitting flame war,
What distro do you use, and why do you think that it suits your needs the best? Why do you use that distro over similar ones?
Linux for niggers.
Majaro
Ubuntu
It was easy to install
I can make my way around it
I used to use Zorin, but Ubuntu was a step up and I wanted ricing

How does one go about using a UHD monitor?

I'm not sure what answers (if any), I'm looking to find by submitting this post. However, if you read it all, you'll understand why it's in "Technology".
For a reason I can't explain, I "followed" the account of a person who is DEAD. I was fully aware that it was absurd and utterly ridiculous but I "followed" anyway.
When I say the person is dead, is dead, no doubt about it. There's absolutely undeniable evidence.
Few days later I get the message "435678". Obviously, I'm troubled but I readily assume the account was hacked and they are just typing some numbers randomly.
In a playful mood I look at what it could spell on a numeral keypad. 435678 translates to "HE LOST".
The deceased was a male and died a violent death, in circumstances that could be described as a race of life and death. Without getting into details, I should mention that his death was NOT related to car racing.
THEN, a few days ago, the eerie message that appeared on a FAKE account of his, while flipping through Twitter pages. See the pic.
This is what I got (and I had some difficulty screen-shooting this gray flicker with a creepy message).
I would also like some advice on what I should do if I attempt to keep "them" communicating (be it human or...who knows).
Your thoughts, please.
You should stop doing THIS, it makes you look RETARDED.
I just lost the game (and so did you)
Anons, what headphones can I use to play .flac?
I want to hear the sound better than with the .mp3 files.

Why does /g/ hate Java? What's wrong with it and how should it be fixed?
>>57339501
/g/ does not hate Java.
Nothing is wrong with it. If you want dynamic typing or "unsafe mode" use something like python or C.
>>57339546
What about the allegations that Java was much slower than C et al.?
Has that changed at all?

Hey there /g/ !
I want to learn some stuff about internet security and actually security and privacy in general. To that end I started some courses at cybrary.it and I am thinking about finding a private investigator course online if I can find one that's for free.
What other free stuff can I do to learn about 'hacking'?
I don't want to be some sort of "leet haxxor" or whatever but I find the topic very interesting.
I have been thinking about finding some pentesting tools and learning about them with tutorials and stuff, does anybody have any good recommendations for that?
If it helps I already know some programming (enough python and c++ to solve project-euler question at least) but other than setting up kodi with raspberry pi and a home printer I am a complete noob when it comes to networking. I am familiar with arch linux and linux mint because I run those on my desktop and laptop respectively so I am not afraid to just install some pentesting distro and play around with it, are there any good ones besides kali out there?
First of, kali is a meme. I guess it's okay for professionals, maybe. But at the end it's just ubuntu with a bunch of tools that you can get on your own, way more tools than you'll be using. And it's slow. Simply put: you don't need Kali.
If you want kiddie software, there is Metasploit. It is also a tool used for professionals to automate a bunch of kiddie attacks at once to detect low-hanging-fruit vulnerabilities. It uses Ruby.
You probably want to learn about the network stack, the TCP/IP suite. There are several good books, a good one that is also very brief and introductory is CNP3, a very comprehensive one is TCP/IP Illustrated Vol 1. I also suggest reading the tcpdump(8) man page.
You also want to know a bit about cryptograpy. Sadly, I haven't really seen any book that surveys (in a newbie-friendly manner) the use of cryptography in everyday computing.
I also suggest The Hacker's Handbook, published by Auerbach. It's about network defense/attacks.
And lastly you might want to look into two related subjects that may be in your area of interest: Digital Forensics and Data MIning.
>>57341397
Other related subjects are binary analysis, there is a book I believe published by [PACKT] called Linux Binary Analysis.
For the basics of programming and bug exploitation read Hacking: The Art of Exploitation.
And since you know python, you could read Black Hat Python. It contains varied subjects.
>>57341432
Oh yes, also Reverse Engineering for Beginners (begginers.re).
I really like the Plasma desktop but Kubuntu is a buggy piece of shit. Which distro will run it smoothly and stable?
try ubuntu neon
Manjaro KDE
>>57339435
Debian unstable or Arch.
Winfags confirmed for pedoshits

The botnet knew
both linux and windows users are pedoshits
its jsut that only microsoft ones are dumb enough to get caught
>>57339471
Well yeah, there's no builtin botnet in most linux distros. It wouldn't even surprise me if any winfag simply having a pedo folder on their desktop is enough to get authorities involved
I'm gonna have a meeting with ubisoft game engines devs. What should I ask them?
