PSA: Double Commander is almost as good as Total Command but is open source and cross-platform. If you were looking for a Linux replacement for Total Commander, this is it.

It's still version 0.x and sometimes has stability issues. I think its default config is actually better than TC's. Support for Total Commander plugins (on Windows) is incomplete.

DC's development has actually picked up pace lately (at least judging by the release announcements at https://sourceforge.net/p/doublecmd/news/; I haven't looked at their SVN closely).
