Post 'em boys.
Also, i'm looking for a certain desktop image posted here a couple of weeks ago. It has the girl from this desktop in it and its ubuntu
The theme they had was arc osx dark i believe and the icon pack had blue folders and it looked really clean.
I suppose the Nazi janitor is happy now.

Why did they ban desktop threads again? There are far worse threads right now on /g/ with no relevance to technology.

Sapphire and EVGA, for a long time considered the best AIBs for AMD/ATi and Nvidia respectively are now at the bottom for a variety of reasons including reliability, bad RMA practices, inproper cooling, etc..
What happened? What the fuck happened?
Too long at the top makes you complacent. They had problems, didn't bother to fix them, and other AIBs went in for the kill.
At least XFX was always shit.
Powercolor got its shit together, so did ZOTAC and Gainward
Sapphire was never good. They voided warranty if you took off your heatsink.
EVGA remains to be the only company that uses pure American support. If you call there'll be a guy answering who was likely born and raised in America.
Ironic too, considering EVGA is owned by a Chinese guy.
>super ultra HD
Is this a fucking joke?
Supercharged twin-turbo direct injection extra ultra HD when?
Nah man
Next year will be Super Ultra Turbo TV HD Remix. 2 years after that will be Supercharged Twin-Turbo V8 Megamix HD Extreme.

s is for samsung, genius
>>57337374
Well that looks like 21:9 to me.
UHD is defined as 3840 × 2160, right?
If you call this 21:9 screen UHD, it would be mislabeling.
Should I do it?

Why?

yes

Why do you need this expensive shit?
I don't see any features thats exclusively unique.
Guys, I hear a lot about "u shouldn't use molex to pcie" or "its fine".
It seems to come down to 12v rails. I'm not a electrical guys, so could someone give a guideline on when its OK to use adaptor? What should the PSU say in terms of rails, I don't get it.
I'd just get a psu that can handle your gpu with no adapters needed. PSU's don't really cost that much. I see adapters as more of a temporary solution until you can upgrade the psu.
If your PSU doesn't have that, then it's probably bad.

Guys its a poweredge server, it doesn't have standard PSU. It does have 875w though

my dad has a commercial office where he has NBN. should I put my PC gaming rig in his office and remote connect to it so I can get good pings for gaming? At home all I have is adsl2.
I'd stream its screen to home via VLC or something.
you will get latency from your home to your dads work
>>57337028
its only 5km away
>>57337036
unless you connect a cable directly, your data will have to go to the isp then to dads office then back to isp then to game server, which is slower than your data directly going to the isp then going to the game server

Quick question In reguards to going from python to c++ I found the change really easy am I doing something wrong? I hear a lot of people on here talking about how hard c++ is but I didn't find it hard at all.
Also c++ general thread
It shouldn't be hard
But you probably didn't get to the parts different from Python (memory management, pointers etc.)
>>57336590
Hmm yeah I learned about pointer but not memory's agent anything you'd reccomend me to read?
