Who told you about Linux or UNIX in the first place?
(You) did.

Why she got those Steve Buscemi eyes?
>he's too dumb to build his own gnu/linux
>he's cucked by his distro
>he runs binaries full of backdoors
>>57348949
it's fine
Wow you must be very smart
>tfw to inteligent to make my own distro
<img="https://i.4cdn.org/g/1478063334577.jpg" position="left" />
Is this still worth buying?
no
>why
no removeable battery
>meme curve
>>57348833
What does the curve do? Does it add any features? What problem does it solve?
Is this the best combo?
>>57348707
remove the gooble bixel and you got it

>>57348594
I can see this being a productive thread.
>>57348594
I would but then you'd see the irc channels I'm in
is this the new not-desktop thread
>phone screen doesn't work (cracked)
>phone is password locked
>touch screen obviously doesnt work
>need to extract photos

Replace touch screen?
Are the images stored on a SD card?

Hey /g/ what's better for downloading music these days Napster or Kazaa?
>>57348367

Hi /g/
Is anyone willing to do some relatively basic shit for me for $5 over paypal?
What I need is:
Using the <picture> element - create a responsive grid of images that substitute in appropriate images at each breakpoint. Use images from Placehold.it (Links to an external site.). Using a mobile up approach create a grid that expands from one column into two columns and finally centered with three columns.
Use a different image source for each of your breakpoints, and make sure they expand to fill in the space between your breakpoints.
This is accomplished with a percentage based grid with the images having a max-width of 100%. At the very last pixel before the breakpoint, measure your grid column's width and make that image your picture srcset.
Restrictions,
Breakpoints Columns
0 -> 500px
Single Column, Serve a 500 x 200 image that scales the full width of the screen.
500px <-> 960px
Two Columns. Keep the 500 x 200 image but float the columns to fit two columns with 1% margin around the column items.
960px ->
3 Column, Centered at 960px. Serve 310 x 120 image, this will be the only extra picture source needed. The margin between the columns should now be 5px.
Yes, this is homework
Yes, I'm retarded for not being able to do it myself
The gist of it is I'm a retard who left a bunch of assignments til last minute and I need all the marks I can get in this class and after trying and failing at this assignment I've essentially given up.
I'm gonna use a tripcode so I can communicate with anyone who's actually interested
plz /g/ I come to you with great shame to beg assistance

Is there any reason not to just use Adobe Reader for PDFs?
Sumatra is better if you just want to view PDFs; it is faster.
It's slow as shit, bloated and full of botnet
>>57348281
>doesn't respect your freedoms
And it has been pretty good.
I got it when it was $1049.
My only complaint is DDR3L RAM instead of DDR4 and no USB Type-C ports
I like the 4k touchscreen and it doesn't look gay like other "gaming" laptops.
The keyboard and touchpad aren't bad. It is a fingerprint magnet. It has also shocked me twice when touching something metal.
>>57348272
>gaming laptop
>4K
So basically everything is a slideshow, or you have to play at a non-native resolution which makes everything look like ass?
Also nice blog faggot.
>>57348289
I only play casually.
And playing at a non-native resolution doesn't make much of a difference.
I'll scale down to 1440p.
Is /g/ ready for THE FUTURE
>>57348271
Apple is officially Jesus.
They sacrificed themselves so type-c could become a universal standard
God bless you, Apple
>>57348288
literally jesus
I prefer USB Type-A
It's pretty much dominated the Market for way too long to not go out without a Fight.
How will google ever recover!?
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/bgr.com/2016/10/27/pixel-vs-iphone-7-specs-performance-test-comparison/amp/
>As far as raw benchmark scores go, Google’s Pixel didn’t fare very well against Apple’s iPhone lineup. The Pixel achieved a score of 1565 on Geekbench’s single-core test while Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus more than doubled that with 3488. On Geekbench’s multi-core test, the Pixel got a 4103 while the iPhone scored 5590.
>Moving on to real-world performance, the test we had been waiting for was finally released on Wednesday. Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus and Google’s Pixel XL were lined up in a familiar speed test that involves opening and closing a series of apps one at a time, and then repeating them in the same order for a second “lap.” Again, the results weren’t even close and Apple’s iPhone clobbered Google’s new flagship phablet.
>>57348266
How did Google fuck up so badly'
>>57348629
Here's a good list
>Not stepping the fuck up and forcing carriers to update their software
>Providing Babby phones with shit features, no SD cards, no removable batteries.
>Overhauling their OS next round
There's nowhere safe anymore. Used to be, I could buy a Nexus phone and toss o'l comfy Cyanogen on it.
The world has no future.
>>57348687
Time to switch to iPhone then, I guess.
What is the best smartphone money can buy?
>>57348175
Real answer, S7 Edge. Worth the money? Probably not, but it is the best phone on the market.
>>57348175
who gives a fuck. what i want to know is what's the best inexpensive android smartphone.
i have an lg g2 that's in need of replacing, but i don't want to spend a lot of money. i'm sort of leaning toward the huawei honor 5x because it's only $200, but i'd spend a bit more money for a much better phone
Time to install Gentoo, with me luck.
Make sure you either stick with the stable tree or unstable. Don't cross the beams unless you want to deal with a dependency headache
>>57348158
This. Crossing trees can make your system unstable as fuck too.
>>57348265
>>57348158
K thanks.
hey guys, i was wondering how hard/expensive it is to fix a screen on a psp 2000. the one i have i got for free, but half the screen is glitched and its getting worse, and i would like to play some old playstation games on it any and all advice will be taken to heart. TL;DR how hard is it to replace a screen on a psp 2000
Literally would have been faster to order a new one off ebay or ali and install it yourself rather than making a thread for it easy.
bumping for advice
>>57347746
They also could have typed a few words into YouTube to see the entire process.
