yes there are afternarket coolers but they're maybe not the first solution to try
go to your local bestbuy or microcentre or fry's or whatever and get some TIM/thermal compound
remove the cooler(s), clean the dust/debris, replace the stock compound, see if that helps
that's a 5$ solution
if that doesn't help, then google Arctic Accelero and see what they offer
don't spend more than 40$ per video card, it's not worth it for low end cards like the 760

I found this in the basement.
How should adjust the fans and whatnot to compensate for using it?
I want a silent-er build for my computer, but at the moment I have 12 fans for absolutely no reason.

>Not running at maximum settings in any games
>Competitive player, so usually use 60fps and lock it there so it doesn't get any faster, but not any slower
My temps with 12 fans is 35C idle and 70C when gaming, and I want the same results after installing this heatsink.
Also, silent cooling thread.
Might as well see what others are doing to reduce noise. Bonus points for computer running under 30dB

OK, I understand why there are only 2 companies doing CPUs for personal computers (won't count the few arm PCs out there) given the stuff with licences, patents and so on, but why do 2 companies have the monopoly on GPUs? what is preventing other companies to join in and start making discrete cards? imagine an alternate universe where Nintendo and Sega were still controlling the console market in 2017.

Nothing is preventing them other than likely patents by Nvidia and AMD on many key design features needed to make a GPU and of course the enormous cost of starting development and manufacture.
Making GPUs isn't like starting up your own software company to compete with the big guys. Hardware is extremely expensive. It's like asking why someone doesn't start up a company to compete with Boeing or MD on commercial airplane production. The barriers to entry are not just $$$ but the money is huge!
