What GPU is in my 4K TV?
Novideo GJT 4800FX Black Edition FTW 3,5+3,5GB
>>58139706
It's GTX 1080 I'm sure
>>58139668
Likely a simple dsp with display controller.....
Why the fuck is the front facing camera flipping the pics I take? I fucking hate that! How to make the camera stop doing that?
>>58139562
Figures. I should've just posted this to reddit. You vir/g/ins are useless.
>>58140006
Nice try, pham. I'm OP. Thanks for bumping up my thread, you twat.
I wish phones came without front facing camera
What's wrong with Brave and why do you prefer Firefox?
Brave doesn't have any extensions and I prefer Chromium.
>>58140220
Doesn't it work like Firefox? Can't you install add-ons for it?
I prefer Firefox with privacy add-ons to Chromium.

When I used it ads got through on YouTube even after I played with their settings
Why is it so hard to buy bitcoins online? Why do all the exchanges require me to scan my ID? Why is paying by credit card not enough for those mongoloids?
Where does /g/ buy their bitcoins?
>less money beaurocracy!
>more freedoms!
>ends up being exactly the same as the real world counterpart, probably even more smelly
>>58139547
it's to prevent fraud, bitcoin transactions can't be reversed while credit card transactions can, the ID's requests are just proof of payment and insurance
If you don't feel like giving your ID to individuals you can always use something like XAPO to buy your bitcoins, they still require you to verify yourself through ID but at least it's a legit company
Isn't there something like bitcoins ATM ?
I know I'm like 20 years late but what domains should I buy for myself?
So far I have
firstname.host
lastname.host
firstlastname.me
I don't have a lot of options but it's more than I expected. What do you guys have?
There's so many TLDs now you don't need to worry about anything being unavailable.
>>58139620
Can they jack up the registration fee year after year? Is it better to just pay like 10 bucks now for 10 yers or something?
>>58139866
Yeah, they can change the registration fee every year. So it's always better to register a domain for a couple years if you intend to keep it.
I registered a couple three letter domains for myself.
>Decide to try out Bitcoin on Steam
>Buy some Bitcoins
>Buy game on Steam
>"Your purchase is in progress. We are currently waiting for settlement on the bitcoin network. This settlement requires at least one blockchain confirmation and can take several minutes to a few hours."
Is this some sort of fucking joke? I sent the fucking coins. They are not in my wallet anymore. A few hours? Is this for real? It's been 10 minutes now.
>>58139303
holy shit you're actually retarded
Why is this funny
When Trump gets rid of net neutrality, all of the good websites are going to be throttled, and all of the shit websites are going to be sped up.
This means that we only have on option.
We have to make our own internet.
It sounds difficult, but its not impossible.
I don't want to bother upstreaming with any current monopolist internet providers. I'm certain that they would not like our competition. So, the first step is to send a few satellites into orbit. I think that the Mexican space program would be the best candidate for this step.
Second step is to set up isp servers in key locations throughout the world.
After that, I need help figuring out what the next steps are. Or did I skip any steps? I can't do this alone, but if I have to, I will. They say you need a billion dollars to make a billion dollar company, but i have an euntraprunural spirit and a positive cheerful disposition, and a curious demeanor
with those three things, anything is possible.
All of this "no net neutrality is going to kill the internet" talk is bullshit. Net neutrality didn't exist until 2015 but somehow we avoided all those horrible consequences, huh? That's because groups like Netflix got tired of paying extra for the massive amount of bandwidth they used, and got shills like yourself to back them up based on chicken little bullshit.
>>58139235
Trump is going to get rid of laws that enable ISPs to be monopolies. Government regulation is why comcast and AT&T can jew you over.
>>58139409
Is that true? Sauce?
Should we block all websites which can provide smooth playback on a Pentium 4 and midrange era gpu?
Should we all smash OP's dick and balls into red paste, with claw hammers?
>>58139236
So you defend the fact that a PC from 2004 can play a DVD smooth as fuck, but can't watch a flash video of worse quality?
Even a PC from 1999 can play a DVD.
smashy smashy, squishy squashy!
Motorola is selling the 32 GB Moto G4 for $189.99 for only 4 days after Christmas. Should I?
Yes, it's a good phone. Especially for the price.
>>58139162
You can get the Moto X pure for the same price.
Enjoy that permanent unremovable firmware malware senpai.
Why has Apple been so sloppy lately?
Are the managers fucking up?
Did they hire subpar developers during the recent hiring spree?
Have you used it?
Then stop bitching about it.

I grew up watching the old Tech TV before G4 and the old Screen Savers. Do I can't hate anything he does.
That being said, I've tried watching their Twit stuff and don't like it.
#soup is a fucking douchebag.

Security Now is pretty neat
Did you know that GNOME Calculator makes automatic connections to third party websites such as the IMF to fetch currency exchange data?
I don't know how common these kind of connections are in Linux DEs, and I have no idea since I couldn't find anything online (not even about what I just wrote about GNOME Calculator), but I consider them highly problematic.
Apart from the Subgraph OS application firewall, are there any usable tools to manage these connections?
>>58138954
Kek. Always hated GNOME software anyway.
>>58138954
What? Prove it.
>>58138954
>>58139051
The good thing about open source, you can always check the code.
Can't post link due to shitty spam filter here. but code is on Github
for example: lib/currency[DOT]vala#L380
also:
>does connections to several sites/services
>parses stuff with xpath -> data unreliable
tr;dr: gnome-calculator bad software, don't use
>tfw not knowing what Jacobian means
First off, this belongs in >>>/sci/ because it's maths. Second, google it.
Git gud and to partial derivative equations.
First off, this belongs in >>>/his/ because it's history. Second, google it.
With the x86 computer processor architecture becoming increasingly locked down, do you think we will see a viable alternative for desktop and laptop computing? Will ARM be able to compete on laptops in the future? Will there ever be a strong competitor for servers and desktop computers? Will competing architectures respect the user's freedom?
Intel just fired like 4000 american workers to replace with h1b (should be illlegal) will they become less competitive?
I thought /g/ understood technology. Fuck you pieces of shit.
>>58138715
When Apple ditches x86 others will start to follow suit because everyone copies Apple.
>>58138715
Also can RISC-V ever be avalible to the mass market? How competitive is it with x86. I like that it is an open IP specification.
>>58138767
What do you mean? Is something wrong with my question?
Who the fuck thought not trimming the file name in list view was a good idea?
>>58138646
>using list view
>ever
>not detail view
>>58138646
use far
>>58138786
List view is still used, think about the average man and how intelligent he is? Half is dumber and might need list view because they think all the attributes in detail view are different files.
